Nobody was complaining when Cena was at the top? Yes they were, the man was getting more boos than cheers for some years there.
He turned me off the thing I love for ten years!
Yeah, Mark sounded totally out of touch when he said people weren't complaining about Cena. And then started talking about a bunch of hall of famers signature spots, as if that's the same thing as the finish to Roman's matches. We expect signature spots, we do not expect the same exact finish to the matches.
I agree that people complained about Cena. Fresh in my 20's I remember as well being on that trail for a couple of years, then I came back to my senses. Only marks really complained about Cena. Every arena they went, there were seas of Cena's shirts. Cena made it work and made money for the company.

Spot on no one says roman can't wrestle , they say he can't win a without help.. and the crazy thing is It's the polar opposite of old roman that literally won everything by himself, including handicap matches.. hhh isn't dumb ..they gonna make us absolutely HATE ROMAN .but the problem is people aren't cheering for the wrestlers their cheering for roman to LOSE.

I disagree. The only reason he is an attraction is because everyone wants to see him lose. Take the belt away from him and he is back to being booed just for the sake of being booed. I do agree to he him safe to lose to Cody. But if they are doing this just to break those records it’s not going to go over well and I don’t think any real fan wants to see it. At least not the top 2 spots. The top two should stay as they are Bruno and Hogan. They are the pillars the industry got built on. Those are records that should stand. I agree with Mr Dudley though.

Roman will remain the champion until WrestleMania and he'll then lose to Cody. After that he will be only an attraction, like Brock Lesnar or John Cena. Once Cody wins the title and after he loses it, that's where things get exciting.
LA Knight is over but he needs more time, more matches and more stories to really get over. I think he's gonna face Logan Paul eventually and that will get him to where he needs to be
At this point I think Roman should vacate the title when they are ready for him to drop it. He shouldn't lose but just walk away. You then have the perfect situation where he keeps his level but the title can change hands and he can come back as much as he wants as an attraction. I'm not a Roman fan at all but I respect what they are doing with him and I feel like it is the only logical way out now and to keep everything at the status it is.
To be fair, all this stuff they're saying LA Knight needs to go through, Roman never went through himself. Roman was shoved down our throats by Vince McMahon and people forgot this. Nobody was buying Roman's merch, nobody was genuinely cheering for Roman during his baby face stage and people were walking out of the arena during his matches. But Vince put a title on his waist and kept him up there. LA Knight had more genuine pop in 6 months than Roman had in 2 years as a Champ. And kinda really sad, and a little hypocritical. Why don't you go back and listen to some Roman matches? I guarantee you you'll hear a ton of silence for the man.
So, we have to bubble wrap Roman for Philly, but we can damn near destroy Cody every week. Yeah, that makes sense. Isn't Cody just as important in this scenario seeing as he's the one that we assume will dethrone Roman? I don't remember Rock, Austin, HHH, Kane, or Angle being protected so much leading into Mania. They might have a night where they only did promos or a tag/6-man match instead of one on one, but they definitely didn't take weeks/months off at a time. It might be by design, but both the infrequency and the repetitive nature of Roman's title defenses have made it hard to respect him. It's like saying, hey, let's make 8 crappy shows in a row so people will pop when the 9th show is great. That's the strategy they're going with for Roman's defenses. And it sucks.
Whatever wwe is paying him so he is delivering they gave him this contract it isn't like they just gave him he made it then they are treating him as biggest star

It's frustrating and boring having to watch Roman for a whole year knowing that he wasn't going to lose. That is not good for the "big picture".

Even if you don't like it, you'll have to get over yourself and deal with it. Or you can always tune out WWE, and stay home whenever they come through town of course.
The rest of us will be enjoying how wrestling gets us away from the shitty times of life.
I disagree with Bubba Ray that WWE could have cena break Ric Flair's record. With Triple H in charge of WWE Creative & Triple H being a close longtime friend of Flair's, there's no way that Triple H will ever allow cena or anyone else break Flair's record. Triple H has way too much respect & love for Flair that even with Flair signing with aew, Triple H would never allow cena to break that record plus Triple H is also not going to suddenly change his long-term Creative & Booking plans that he & his team have established for the long road to Wrestlemania 2024. There's no way cena is going to suddenly be thrust into a title match with Roman or Seth just like that and he definitely ain't challenging either champ at Wrestlemania.
People were 100% complaining about Cena. That's what started the fans singing "John Cena Suuuuucks!". He came to the ring, got beat up most of the match, did 4 moves at the end and would win. People were tired of it.
Mark Henry was wrong there. Now they got LA knight Cody Punk Randy Gunther and can bring up Breaker shit they are loaded now
OK if WWE get a bug up their bottom over Flair jumping ship, and give Cena another Title run, then AEW brings Flair out of retirement and make him the champion one last time. Better yet make Flair ROH champion
Roman has been pushed to the moon, except now he's staying there without hardly fighting any of the stars.

The idea that the WWE Championship is more valuable because it's defended less is f'n nonsense. Total bullshit. It started with Brock, and it's gotten 100x worse with Roman. I have zero respect for his "record breaking" title reign because he hardly ever defends it. And when he does, it's the same exact paint-by-numbers finish we've seen a 100 times before. The Bloodline story was great when Sami was involved, but once he turned and they had the match in Montreal, the plot died. There hasn't been anything interesting happening in that storyline for quite a while now, overzealous Jimmy and mute Solo ain't cutting it. I'll be thrilled when the title is finally off his waist, it really does feel more like he's holding it hostage rather than an impressive championship reign.
Brock Lesnar was another part time champion that people complained about. John Cena was fighting all the time when he was in his championship years! When they said Roman cheats, because that's what heals do, Brock Lesnar never cheats! He was just a bad ass heal! And people still hated him! Thanks to Paul Heyman! But Roman shouldn't have to cheat every time to be champion. He should be made to appear like an unbeatable force! That would make the person that finally beats him look all the better! If Cody, or whoever, finally gets over on Roman because no one helps him, it will make Roman look like a weak champion, and the winner is someone who didn't get cheated on.

I wouldn't be surprised if they told flair of plans for cena to break his record and flair then decided to go to aew, almost as if he would've thought, if they're not going to be loyal to him then he won't be loyal to to them.

Aew is AEW and has nothing to do with WWE. AEW's existence just makes WWE have to step their game up and either way everyone from AEW, WWE, Impact NWA, the fans, the talent, the stage hands and the investors all benefit from AEW existing. All the tribalism seems to be coming from the staff more than the fans. Who care that Flair went to WWE and I don't see why the WWE still can't use Flair if they wanted to. I'm sure Tony Khan wouldn't say no to working with the WWE considering AEW has already worked with everyone else in the industry. This imaginary red line that can't be crossed is ludicrous

If Roman won clean every match, everyone would moan that he’s burying wrestlers. He’s winning with help for a reason. WWE needs us to hate him! It’s working.
His title reign is horrible. Cena left, and Vince wanted the "pretty guy" as champion. I am sorry, but I don't see why people like him in the ring, on the mic, or representing the company. Instead of building a new superstar to take over, they gave the belt to him, and we are stuck with another part-time paper champion.

WWE has ACCIDENTALLY created 3 history making moments.
1. Roman Reigns' title reign itself
2. Roman Reigns eventually losing
3. The title run of the man who beats Reigns for the title, whoever that maybe.
WWE has to be extremely CAREFUL about who they choose to beat Reigns. Because once Reigns is beat, THAT'S IT 😂. AIN'T NO Do-Over. So they gotta make sure that IT'S the right person. Because if Reigns drops the title to someone and that person CAN'T build off of it, or the fans turn on them in a few months. Then at that point you would have WASTED the biggest endorsement this company has had in YEARS. The last big endorsement the company had was Undertaker's Streak. You gotta make sure that when Reigns Loses , the man who beats him is able to stay in the good graces of the fans .
And Brock Lesnar was the wrong opponent to end the streak 🙁
What I think they should do is have Cody beat Roman. How i would book it is that the blood line interfere and try to screw Cody again. But then out of nowhere The Rock's music hits and he comes running down and attacks the bloodline and rock Bottoms Roman. Cody wins. Then Cody get his finished story and The Rock & Roman face off at Summerslam.
