Dwight is the 1st player to win DPOY 3x in a row, led the league in rebounds and blocked shots. Despite him being a role player for a few years now, he's still averaging 12 rebounds for his career.
The problem Dwight has against him we can name probably 10 centers that had had better careers, even longer "peaks" Dwight had maybe a 5 year period. But we can name 10 centers who were better for longer.
The obvious ones Wilt, Kareem, Bill Russell, and Shaq. Ewing had a longer peak, David Robinson, Moses Malone, Alonzo Mourning, Hakeem Olajuwan, Dan Issel, Dikembe Mutombo (maybe not in scoring, but blocks and rebounding) all had better careers. Looking at the all time stats list Dwight Howard isn't even in the top 10 in any of them. At least one if not multiple are in the top 10 for points, total rebounds, assists, steals, blocks. You're going to tell me that he deserves to be a top 75 player when he has now played in the league 17 years and isn't even in the top 10 in any category that multiple of these centers I named are? Stop it.
Multiple DPOY, All NBA 1st Team Defensive Team , He Took a honorable L in the finals to a HUNGRY PRIME KOBE , but to be a 20-25 ppg and 12-15 Rpg guy for like 5-7 years with the accolades and not to mention the BLOCKS . He's TOP 75 BRO

Kyrie wasn’t even the biggest snub. It was easily Dwight Howard, he has a better resume than both kyrie and lillard and there’s no argument you can make for either one of them being on the list over Howard
You out your mind if you don’t think Kyrie is a better player than Dwight. Media loves diminishing his legacy because they never gave him the accolades, they can never lose because they decide. The actual players know what’s going on. Shannon said Kai was never considered the best pg? Why don’t he ask LeBron in 2016 who he thought the best pg was, he said Kai was the best pg in the league.
Nick Wright made a great point. This meant Dwight Howard would've made the list if he had retired a few years earlier and that makes absolutely no sense. Your greatness shouldn't decrease the longer you stay in the league.
yep, a stupid list that doesnt matter in the grand scheme of things or missing out on millions and the experience of a championship. If I'm Dwight I don't care about the list at the end of the day tbh
100 percent bro!!! Skips argument being the fact that Dwight was disliked is a joke. This list is about these guys play. Not wether or not they were liked. Insane that Dwight is not on this lost
Dwight should be in there instead of AD. Dwight was the best big man in his peak years. In 2008-2009 season, he was the league leader in rebounds and blocks while averaging 20 ppg. He was the DPOY and an mvp candidate that season. He also led orlando to the finals after beating lebron's cavs.
Dwight was mentioned for half a decade as a candidate for "if you had a choice to build a team around any one player, who would it be?". For half a decade, or more. Add in a long post-prime career in which he still added a championship and stats, there's no way he should have been left off. 3 time dpoy, led leagues in rebounds, blocks, led a lackluster team past lebron.. the only explanation i have is he is a victim of playing in a time that big men were being valued less, and Lebron-Kobe-Dirk-Duncan-Wade were all regarded as better overall players during his peak, for the most part, and he got less attention as a game changing superstar.
people just do not like him it’s as simple as that . in his prime he was as impressive defensively as you’ll ever see but he just doesn’t have the reputation of the others that made the list which is sad . there is no real point in debating whether he should of made it , when he has Terrell Owens syndrome (he also doesn’t get the respect he deserves)

Fun fact: AD has averaged 20+ points in every single season except his rookie year, 24+ in every single one of those except his second season and last season, 27+ ppg in every single playoff seasons except last season where he was haunted by injuries, has 8 all-star appearances in 9 season and this year will be his 10th, has two all NBA defensive (robbery and should have been way more) and has four all nba appearances. You know nothing about basketball if you don't think AD belongs with the best ever. He will retire with one of the best ever resumes.
Dwight being left on this list is the same as T.O. being left off first ballet hall of fame exactly why media should not be voters because they don't know sports
There’s no debate on Dwight being on the list, I feel that even though Kyrie doesn’t have much of a resume, his skills and talents should be more than enough for him to make the list. He is easily the most skilled player in the league; best ball handler, one of the best and most efficient shot creators, incredible ball passing, incredible finishing at the rim, and great one on one defender. But I guess his reputation is that much of a factor in votings and selections 🤷🏻
absolutely terrible take. Dwight howard has a worse reputation and didnt make it either but his resume is so much more stacked than kyrie. Ive been a kyrie fan and think he has the best handles all time but he just hasnt done enough to make top 75. He would make top 100 but I would put Klay Thompson over Kyrie if I had to choose one to make it.
And that was because of trying to play through a bad injury. Wish he would have sat out instead of trying to fit into the fickle Lakers culture. Their fans never appreciated it.

@Daren Avestruz Took nobodies to the finals? That's a very manipulative statement to make. Like I get it. Do ppl look back and remember Hedo, Jameer nelsin and Rashard Lewis? Probably not. @Tong Zou so did Jimmy butler for the heat but he ain't on the list either because that's not how they are picked.

Nah Kyrie is a great player. If Lebron didn't have Kyrie during that run then they would have won the Chip. It's simple! It's a team sport... I'm a Lebron fan but this thing that he makes players better is all lies. He makes teams better not the players. Kyrie never changed his game when Lebron came in lol. Like he been ballin! They got some new teammates as well.. These narratives are wild, this is why people think Jordan was the best. But I might say Jordan was mountrishmore great. So I don't mind that argument. But these analysis and fans do not watch the games. How can people not put Kyrie next to Curry when he's schooled Curry multiple times and he's more unguardable than Curry lol. And he's shoots the 3 pretty great while contested versus Curry who needs a little more space at times. Like do people watch the games? I'm not biased, these are simple breakdowns. Championships can't be a factor when deciding the best "individual" players. Come on man! I feel like I could be a better analysis than these mofos.

@@AgentWK Did u watch any of the games? He was the reason they were open. He was the focus he was such a big threat on the pick and roll and he would get doubled on his post ups as well. He was also the most dominant force on defense during his prime and every team has role players, super stars just have the ability to make them "premier" (nash gortat, LBJ mozgov, paul ayton, etc.) something kyrie couldnt do. Dwight made his roleplayer better and literally carried them on defense, thats why he was 3x DPOY.
@@MrGuapz What im saying is Dwight didnt do it alone in the Magic like other superstars like Lebron in Cleveland who has proven to singlehandedly carry a team. Nobody wins a championship alone unless your as talented as Lebron or Jordan so people cant be saying Dwight carried that Magic team.
