Hi Rubina Mam, I have started following your vids for last 3 months. Just wanna say you are the Indian skinfluencer I like and ❤. Right now am in UK and decided to start on tret in this UK winter(got many tubes of tret from India 😂). I have been using cerave retinol prior to this for last 6 months. It’s been 3 weeks of tret and I am going really slow.. twice a week. So far not so much peeling or dryness. Even with so many room heaters 😂 and cold freezing weather outside. Perhaps the trick is I have been using Cosrx and few other hydrating toners and good ceremide based moisturisers. Your videos have helped me a lot. I have started using alpha arbutin, niacinamide in the morning. My skin is taking it well apart from breakouts or purging.. though the frequency of breakouts have come down). Have learned a lot from u.❤❤❤❤🥰 thank you. Edited: I have used cerave retinol around my eyes.. still using.. and on neck as well.. as a beginner.. it didn’t irretate my skin at all. I would like to try beauty of json retinal eye cream.. good option in India as well. Would like to followed more on your oiling advice.

i have dry and sensitive skin and so i lean more towards deconstruct as the serums are freaking gentle! i love minimalist too but i find the decon azelaic a better replacement for TO azelaic emulsion... :)

I’m so glad I found your channel :) I’ve been using tretinoin for about 2 years but still get frequent breakouts, and with the winter time my skin is very sensitive! I’m having small white heads on my cheeks and chin 💔 maybe I’ll stop using the retin a until my barrier is better ?
Thank you Haley and welcome. one of the main reasons for skin sensitivity in winters is the lack of hydration so stepping up on that might help. Typically with long term retinoid use, given that it improves exfoliation function, white heads are rare. But every skin is different! So perhaps spacing tret to twice/once a week and exfoliation (gentle exfoliating serums) to twice a week might help. hope this helps.

applying what after cleaning? tret? i also do that in summers. in winters i prefer using a serum as my skin is drier than usual. you can use any serum that does not have other faders, jst to go easy on the skin.

I have a few doubts: Do you wash off the oil in your AM routine with a cleanser or with just water before using actives, moisture,etc? Since then, I use it on irregular basis for acne breakouts as and when they come up. This year I have not consulted any derma but I am undergoing homeopathic treatment for hormones and that doc advised to use topical retinol serums in addition to her prescribed homeopathic medicine.

It is going to take time, at least 6 to 8 months. if its feeling too stretchy reduce the usage -qty and freq and see if it helps. But do also consult your derm for this.

olay retinol is very gentle. start with gaps and see how your skin works with it.. :)

you can use a light oil formulated for am use, i dont think rosehip is good for morning use.

no please dont. are you using artificial tears? it helps in hydrating the eyes...

Mam my dr prescribe me tretinoin. O25 daily with isotretinoin 20mg for my comedonal acne. I m using it for almost 1 month. Now my skin is dry stretchy. No improvement in my acne.
She is renowned dermatologist of ggn. It's very tough to get her appointment. I m telling u this bcoz I know she knows her job. But want to ask u abt this
It is going to take time, at least 6 to 8 months. if its feeling too stretchy reduce the usage -qty and freq and see if it helps. But do also consult your derm for this.

use a retinol based eye cream and proper sunscreen protection. for the forehead use a fader like AA or Azelaic.
