  • My detailed Skincare Routines AM/PM for Fading Hyper Pigmentation, Acne, Acne scars and anti Aging are simple and affordable. The products might feel expensive upfront but given the slip a little goes a long way and these last well for 5 to 6 months.
    Innisfree Green tea cleanser: rb.gy/wdudvh
    Products from Minimalist: www.beminimalist.com
    Pixi: rb.gy/p7sm9e
    The Skin Pantry moisturiser: rb.gy/guxnhz
    Its important that retinoids are used with care always. Even at its mild form or lower percentages it can cause sun sensitivity leading a UV damage, birth defects and is not to be used without a doctors advise when pregnant, planning to concieve or breastfeeding. Before starting its use please do consult with your dermatologist.

    A few folks are wondering the wisdom of using oil based vitamin c before the other actives. Yes it does go beyond "common" wisdom but it works for me. It works because one my skin is very dry, AS ALSO the product is very very light and does not interfere with the following products.I use a drop or two as that is all I need.
    I have been using this routine for more than 4 months and the melasma is only getting lighter as you can see in the video :) woohoo
    The more I experiment the more I learn that knowing something in "THEORY' is very different FROM 'PRACTICAL' use.

      I started using the pilgrim vit c after watching your video and am loving it ! But could I use it in the morning as well or do I need to get another brand ? Planning to get the minimalist 5% niacinamide ,could I use it directly after cleansing in the morning or is vit c a must ? Thank you so much for your detailed videos ,it’s a huge help for someone as clueless as myself . Maya Anil Kumar.

    Rubina Ihave been using skin pantry products since 2018and their products are simply divine. Their motto is if you can't eat it, don't put on your skin. I am also using their night out white clay face mask. Nice to know that you love skin pantry products too.

    Hi rubina! I've become your fan. I simply love the content of your videos. No nonsense just straight to the point and loads of information. Now I've been using minimalist HA, AA and Niacinamide from last 1 week.. before that I used Pilgrim's vitamin c for a month and my pigmentation did fade and gave my skin some real glow. Now before buying minimalist products I had a conversation with their specialist and they told me not to use pilgrim vit c and I have stopped using it. After seeing this video I feel I should start using it again. Please advice.

    Hi Rubina have you use retin a and vitamin c together in night time? And does nicinamide and vitamin c together won’t cause irritation

    • @RubinaSkincare
      @RubinaSkincare  3 роки тому +1

      I suggest that you keep vitc separate if you are just beginning retin a. I have been using retin a for very long and it does not irritate my skin at all.
      NO niacinamide and vitc dont cause irritation to the skin UNLESS your skin is sensitive to niacinamide, whic h sometimes it could be. So if you feel irritation or redness separate these two.
      I have been using them together for years now! no irritation ever.

    • @RubinaSkincare
      @RubinaSkincare  3 роки тому +1

      Hello :), those are the hardest to handle and consistency is key. Make sure the area is very well hydrated. I prefer using eye creams cause most moisturisers make my eyes water or itchy. Also using eye creams powered with lightening agents (which you might not need for your face) and extra plumping are great. I am using two eye creams currently - one from detoxie and the other from Just herbs. I use them alternatively as both seperately have ingredients that i want for my eye area :) I have done a video too on these you might want to catch it if you find the time. ua-cam.com/video/7BI0Gl3Chaw/v-deo.html
      Other than this its important to clean the eye area with a good cleanser that effectively removes make up and oils. Also dont forget to us sunglasses- squinting in the sun light or bright areas definitely adds to lines!
      Hope this helps :)

    Nice video but I want to say that you are using too many products together and that too in wrong order....using oil based product before water based products is made them less effective. Lastly collagen molecules are too big to penetrate into the skin when used topically, so I have some doubt about that Pixi product, rather go for peptides.... correct me if I'm wrong n thank you.

    • @RubinaSkincare
      @RubinaSkincare  3 роки тому +1

      well it really depends on the skin type and what works for each one and results speak louder than any logic one can put forth. Intuitively and in theory oil based should come after water based but in practical use I find the pilgrim vit is so light that it works for me in the order that I use it in. The more I experiment the more i learn that some rules can be broken for better benefit :)

    Just stumbled upon your channel and felling happy about it. The way you explain evrything is amazing. Would love if you could help me on this-
    For my dark spots and hyperpigmentation i m currently using vit C, Alpha arbutin and niacinamide but also want to incorporate retinol now. Could you please suggest something for a beginner (may be a serum or cream)? I have dry skin in winters.

      Hey, i understand that u must be busy but please respond at your earliest convenience.
      I have dry skin (combination in summers) with dark spots on cheek and nose area. No acne issues and want to start retinol as i have already delayed it (aged 31). I have gone through all ur retinol videos and what i undrstood is that i should start with some retinol serum/moisturizer and not retin A but still need your suggestion. Also some product suggestion which is most effective.
      My current skincare routine
      AM: vit C, alpha arbutin, moisturizer
      PM: vit C ( just started on ur recommendation), alpha arbutin, niacinamide, moisturizer
      Planning of incorporating azelaic too after I saw your video😊❤

    I found this channel yesterday and I'm hooked. Absolutely love this content. I am struggling with melasma and dark spots on my body as well. My neck is darker than the rest of my body too. I am thinking of using the Detoxie vitamin c in the morning. Do you suggest using tranexamic acid, azelaic acid and alpha arbutin together during the night since all these ingredients are targeted at depigmentation and fading dark spots? I don't want to use them all at once but slowly introduce them to my skin. Please let me know your opinion!

    • @RubinaSkincare

      Welcome!
      introduce one at a time
      start with ttranexamic and see for 3 months. if you dont get results then add AA.
      add azelaic if you have acne.
      vit c AM-PM usage is best

      If you have uneven skin tone or pigmentation then both. if you are looking for just brighteness then only AA. if you are looking for brighteness and wrinkle control then add niacinamide. Niacinamide can also control oiliness so keep a watch if your skin feels dry.

    I am not sure about the ph of the products but i do find something very bothering... Detoxie vit c serum is something i use also... And i have contacted the owners of the company regarding it... It has SAP or sodium ascorbyl phosphate which is in a good percentage i must say and also has niacinamide 3 percent.. Again topping it with another niacinamide from be minimalist would increase the ph quite making the vitamin c less and less potent... As vitamin c even with its derivative u require a lower ph...
    I do understand ur routine is doing good to your skin.. But there is a possibility that some high potent ingredients are getting just negated out... So u might actually try to keep niacinamide out of your morning routine and vitamin c out of the night routine... Rather use vitamin c in the morning and niacinamide retinoids and all the ingredients with higher ph at night... And the pixi glow which also has a low ph with the vitamin c in the morning.. Just to make sure that u dont neutralise the composition... Just a suggestion... However i am not very sure of the ph of all ingredients hence just a suggestion

    I had been waiting for this! Thanks for putting this up. I had one question though, I like to do a double cleanse at night before using my actives and a besan wash in the morning before I go in with my niacinamide and SPF. Though my feels quite clean in itself after using besan, but do you think that it would be efficient enough to remove the actives/retinoids from the face ?

    • @RubinaSkincare
