Thanks! Yes I would think the difference in battery usage would be bigger. Misha used endurance mode but we ended up using about the same % battery. Maybe its because i was using N pedal ( more regen )
@@Benp5N I have not much experience with EV, is the "regen" you speak of when you let off the throttle and the car is slowing down on it's own (and recharging a bit)?
@@KingJerbear Yes exactly, N pedal does the same but more extreme. It brakes up to 0.6G, its meant for track use 👍
@@KingJerbear Yes ... though the interesting issue here is that with most EVs on Nurburgring the regen feature is intentionally switched off. This is to avoid the battery heating up even more than usual and then losing performance ... but in the case of the Ioniq N it can have full performance including regen and not overheat the battery (a good thing).

So smooth as well. Misha had more steering input in corners and was harder on brakes (was what i noticed). You sir, very smooth, dancing with the grip in the corners. Using the momentum, very nice!

Cool video. My wife drives the regular Ionic 5 and it’s not nearly as fast as this, but it’s also no slouch. The way it pulls you when you accelerate is so different than a gas car. Wish it had an option for engine sound. Liked and subbed.

After all the driving, does rear hatch rattle on bumps? Something that classic Ioniq 5 suffer from. Also amazing driving felt like I wa watching action movie with you and Misha. Both had gread POVs

It's a problem that's also reported in the Korean community. They solve it simply through taping. It's a pity that I can't explain it
@@Benp5N Nice, thank you! I have the 2021 ioniq 5 and I solved ratling by adding some padding to those rubber stops (velvet stickers), the sound is less but not gone.

Really surprising that even 50/50 distribution makes the car go loose at the back. Settings must be quite rear oriented.

If I was forced to get an EV this is exactly what I would have. Never mind taycan or plaid don’t care about them they can’t do full laps and aren’t fun. THIS is how it should be done, Hyundai are amazing these days. Awesome driving again mate, keep uploading please!

Are you running stock tyres here?
Yes! Stock pirelli pzero ( made for this car especially ) , they are extremely good on and off track. They dont have any wear yet after +- 10 laps on the nurburgring
Do you use left foot brake on the track?
No, I use N pedal. This makes the car 'dive' into corners :D

@@Hughtsch he is a good driver, just comparing the two drivers isn't harmful, Ben was on 50/50 distribution and was still putting the car sideways and completely dominating it with only 10 laps! And the cup Porsche wasn't even close to the limit when Misha drove it (with maybe 5 more laps he would've been close to it easily) so it wasn't even that special of a lap, the car itself is a complete cheat code as himself said, and that does not make him a bad driver, he's an amazing driver with tons and tons of experience, but as always, there is always someone faster than you on the Ring, like Ben, an incredible driver as you can tell, just like Misha ;)
Great driving but when i see that Misha couldn't pass a regular driver that comes a few times a year to the Ring, we might overestimated him for years.
What a load of nonsense. A: you have no idea of Ben's ability and B: it's Mischa's first time driving the N plus he doesn't do 10/10ths driving in other people's cars. Just enjoy 4 people having a great time on the ring rather than trying to put folk down.

Driving on the ring during touristenfahrten isn't a race mate.
Misha was in Endurance mode, so the car was 40 to 50 HP lower, Ben was in sprint mode, so it’s full power all the time … that explains why he could not keep up and Ben’s car, also the regen was on so it helped in “balancing” the car something they learned at the very end of Misha’s video when he talked to Ben. And it is not Misha’s car, so no experience and you do not want to crash the owners car ;-)
