    Most of ppl here didn't understand.
    1. The battery performance :
    This 4th gen battery is purely crazy thing. It has currently the most energy dense in the world. and the electrical resistance during charging and discharging is extremely low. That's why it can finish 2laps easily.
    2. Regen and cooling mystery:
    The Hyundai N engineer told "we discovered" not invented. while regen, it cool down the battery temperature. still i don't understand. out of box. But I think this has something to do with the extremely low electrical resistance of the battery.
    The regen capacity is 0.6g, which is 'hard breaking'. if you use the N pedal mode, most of technical corners r covered only with regen break. That explains Ben P has more battery left. n cold breaks.
    3. How Ben P's car dances.
    N pedal mode is an extreme version of one pedal mode;but it doesn't stop tho.
    It is involved not only in regenerative braking but also in the vehicle's maneuvering characteristics.
    while front wheels are doing some regenerative braking, rear wheels thrust. and sometimes vice versa. It predicts and controls in real time. n... EVs r never turn off the ESP. actually can't turn it off. This is a very long story so I'll skip it.
    One of the secret evidence that N engineers r totally crazy...is that... while the ABS is working, it regen.

    The i5N has insane utility compared to most of the cars it is passing, as well. Not only does it have nuts performance, but a giant rear seat and tons of cargo space. You can do race day then pack up for a long trip and enjoy the drive to your destination in comfort, since the suspension is adaptive. And it charges super fast as well. Hyundai made an EV look and feel fun which is truly remarkable and a slap on the face of everyone else who decided to play safe. They just need to come up with a convincing external noise to match what the driver is experiencing inside the cabin. For most car guys, being fast alone doesn't cut it. But, indeed, the way it leaped out after the corners and the way the brakes resisted fading was impressive. The direction is good, now they just need to cut out 500 kgs of weight from it and make it 20% smaller in each direction.

    Hyundai did not joke around when they engineered this thing. They legitimately made a track focused car that does well and yet, you can take it to costco and load it up with groceries. Absolutely amazing and I can only imagine how good the Hyundai ioniq 6N is gonna be. It’ll probably be the 5N but with better handling.

Hyundai have the electric car releases properly planned out not like the rest of the car company's and the Hyundai electric cars actually look so good and well built too

      @@zapfhahn6130 Correct. Fun story: In Norway your product has to be like it is marketed. It was marketed as a car you can use on track, which is not the case AT ALL with stock brakes. So I have a court case against them ATM. I will know the answer in under a year. If I win, Tesla will have to buy my car back or change the brakes to the CCB brakes free of charge.

    Thought the fake engine sound without shifting would get annoying, but I still prefer it over silent EVs, no matter how fast they are (looking at you Lucid). I still think there are some opportunities to make a sound scheme that provides more information layered on top of the speed sound like add a bass note that reflects torque/throttle position and so forth.

    • @dfd6787
      @dfd6787 18 днів тому +6

      This is the first iteration of their attempt, so I am sure it will only get better from there. ICE engine sounds are also engineered from pipe lengths to materials, same can be done here but more digital.

    • @phillyphil1513
      @phillyphil1513 18 днів тому

      well i thought i would get USED to that sound, but nope i'm still finding it ANNOYING. i would use it during the first 24 hours of ownership, after that, it would likely never been turned on again for the next 5 years. in a nod to "planned obsolescence" what they've done is PURPOSELY washed their 2-Liter 4 cyl through "Auto-Tunes" in it's 1st iteration, so in the 2nd iteration they could later remove the effect and just give you the straight sound of their popular Veloster N/Elantra N cars (which is what they know you wanted in the 1st iteration). admittedly their Turbo-4 does sound surprisingly good if you've ever heard one in real life.

    • @daemn42
      @daemn42 17 днів тому +3

      @@phillyphil1513 I'm not talking about the specific quality of the sound (of course it could be much better), but just the fact that it makes one at all. I simply cannot feel enthused about silent electric cars. Not ever. To me the sound a car makes is a large part of its sole. And for track use, I think the sound is useful. It tells you useful things about your speed and power level without having to look at the dash.
