Dude this is what my replay looks like on assetto corsa using an RSS GT3 car.... after crashing the first 4 laps and finally getting a fully dialed lap in. The speeds are pretty much the same too, and I love how you hear the tires getting worked. Those laps are guy knows what he's doing behind the wheel.
well, street legal is a very stretched term here. Getting plates on a car like this is basically impossible outside the UK. Go buy one of those and try to register it, lets say in Germany. They´ll straight up send you to a mental hospital, confiscate the car and assume you bought it by selling weed to minors!
Honestly, that second lap was a blast! The car was dialed in so well, making it seem like it had limitless grip. And the driver is a Total beast. The way he whipped that 458 around the corners was insane! You could just tell he knew that car inside and out. With a naturally aspirated engine, I reckon it doesn't get much better than that, even compared to today's super cars

He wasn't indicating that he was going to move over, but that he noticed that the vehicle behind was faster and that he was aware of and allowing the pass. At most trackdays the rules are that the driver being overtaken will indicate via turn signal or hand that they see the vehicle behind them and that the faster vehicle may pass. The vehicle being overtaken stays on the "racing line" so as to be predictable and safe, and it is the responsibility of the driver of the passing vehicle to do so safely, and off the racing line.
That's just quality suspension in general. There's this misconception that race car suspension = back breaking, when it's pretty much the opposite (when factored against spring rate of course).
Wow, the way the owner handled his car, drove it like an absolute champ, and takes a certain set of mental fortitude to drive such a high value car on full send like that! What a legend!

What a car! Almost forgotten. Driver was outstanding as well. Best 2 laps l’ve seen so far with a street legal car. Running costs were smaller than l thought. Man, it’s so underrated, this 458. The Speciale A has 605 hp… but much more expensive to buy, this one is more than enough! Great job u guys, thx for a wonderful clip! 👍🏻
the problem is getting it on the road. 99% impossible outside UK , USA or some third world shithole. With a Speciale you just get insurance and pick up your plates...

Suspension, chassis, tires.... Excellent. High speeds going bumps, dips, right turns the car never got upset. Coolant, oil temps never rose. Great run!
It's weird having driven this car a LOT in various sims, and it always has the most amazing turn in. Then you watch this, and bam, amazing turn in, and it feels kind of amazing at how well they must have captured that.
Yes. Was thinking about that while watching as well. A moded 458 is my Favorit car in GT7. Controllable Oversteering at high speed. This guy Gary has cojones.
I was lucky enough to get a ride in one at laguna seca when he was testing on a track day for a race the next weekend at daytona. I have never felt my insides move before in a car. And that noise right behind your head. 🏎️🤸🏿 At my braking point at the end of the straight i do 105mph, at the same pointhe was still accellerating and at 162!!! Then he hit the brakes and turnedinto the corner. All my guts moved! Insane!!!
For a road car on the Nürburgring, this Ferrari 458 is about as good as it gets. Plenty of down force, sticky tires, suspension, breaks, powerful naturally aspirated engine and a good driver - a perfect match.

I'm sooo happy that what you're constantly trying to convey with a lot of passion to all petrolheads in the videos, thank God I also know it live, because I don't live far away from the Nürburgring. Second lap was just insane. That smartphone clip was very cool to see, changed the perspective a bit! Always funny to see Misha falling asleep when passenger with a great driver.
The 458 is probably my favorite Ferrari. The Enzo and La Ferrari are fantastic, and over-the-top, but the 458 is just a magnificent piece of engineering.
Wow!!!! What a machine. That thing certainly has some serious amount of grip. To see just how stable and balanced it is through a medium/high speed 3rd or 4th gear corner is incredible. It's as if it's re-writing the laws of physics. And you couldn't even hear the tyres squealing. Truly amazing!!!! Oh to have the massive privilege of owning such an awesome car. Perhaps I'll be that fortunate in a future life. Until then I'll just have to settle for my sim rig and some reminiscing of my karting days of old at Buckmore Park, Rye House and Tilbury. So many, many years ago now (about 36 of them actually....lol). They just didn't make cars that good in my day. And I used to think that my MK1 Escort with an all steel, 2.1 with roller rockers, lightened, balanced on side draft Webber 45's and a 5 speed gearbox was fast. Well, actually it was fast. Just not this fast!!!! 😂😂😂😂 Love the video as always.

I don't know if I'm talking nonsense, but this car seems to run on rails, very well built, and I also couldn't fail to praise the driver, all credit to him, he drove insanely well. Some sections look like the footage was sped up, because the car is waving trough corners so effortlessly. Went to a Schwaben trackday and beat up all the Porsches with his pony from Maranello.
What an absolute machine, it corners like it's on rails and that acceleration is fantastic. Total dedication behind the wheel too, seriously one of the best videos I've seen on this channel, keep them coming 'til I win the lottery and can afford a vehicle of this caliber!
What an awesome video. Drove a 458 Italia in Maranello a few years ago, it was a blast. I can't imagine driving a 458 Challenge firing on all cylinders on the Nordschleife. Normally aspirated V8 engine, no hybrid or turbo tricks. It does not get much better than this. The driver is a beast too 😀

What an awesome video. Drove a 458 Italia in Maranello a few years ago, it was a blast. I can't imagine driving a 458 Challenge firing on all cylinders on the Nordschleife.
Normally aspirated V8 engine, no hybrid or turbo tricks. It does not get much better than this. The driver is a beast too 😀

Amazing car and driver, there's something natural about the way that handles that seems a lot more fun to drive than some of the other supercars on here that feel almost simulated, like they are too smooth
