1:20 "there's no links to support" (as there's a picture of the literal support link from the instructions) not defending their super barebones-ass "instructions" at all. they're abysmal
I agree with you. But I expect at least a quick start guide in the box. Reading instructions and setting up on the same device is a really bad experience

Doubling of sound intensity (acoustic energy) belongs to a calculated level change for each +3 dB of change in energy. This is the level of energy or power intensity. The level of perceived volume doubles, or is twice as loud in psychoacoustics, which is mostly sensed by the human ear, is for every +10 dB of volume change.

The different chime tones could be available if Ubiquity would do a firmware update on this. The speaker volume is indicative of the speaker used. Obviously, the coil and the speaker cone are not big enough which is surprising due to the overall size of the unit. Also, the sound "sounds" muddy and is not clear and crisp. Again, this is probably due to the speaker that they used. And I am in full agreement that Ubiquity should make their product line work with the different smart home ecosystems, or at the very least, jump on the Matter bandwagon. Since Ubiquity was started by Engineers who work at Apple on the Apple Extreme Basestation WiFi systems, you would think more of their philosophy would have bled over besides the packaging (which is outstanding). However, just like Apple, not every product is going to be a home run. Hoping Ubiquity listens to their customers and makes the needed improvements to this device.
Yeah unfortunately I think some of that interoperability Apple mind set bled over too. I'm just thankful they at least have an API so we can hook into home assistant

Yes I did, video coming on how I do my doorbell. Still insane Unifi don't support GA. Guessing so they can sell these crappy things.

Unfortunately, Ubiquity will never integrate with Google Home.
Two of ours also constantly hiss! It’s horrible. My spouse can’t hear it but both our kiddo and I can and it’s awful.
And ours are new (2023).

Even if you had 1 in every room, that still sounds too quiet.
Yeah it's really not great, we broadcast over sonos/google home now which is much more convenient (video eventually on that setup)

I so agree with you ! This thing is an overpriced crap ! Can't change ringtones, it only rings once, can't use 2 doorbells with one chime...
Yeah, not sure how they missed the mark so far on this. It's a glorified bluetooth/wifi speaker..
