- I made this video because I've seen a ton of people with braids that leave their ends looking rough. I always have the urge to tell them exactly what they can do to make them look nice again, but I never get the courage to do so. Now that I have the opportunity to showcase my knowledge, I hope this tutorial helps many of you to look fabulous, all of the time.
It was really hard to let my hair get this rough, but I really wanted to make this video, so I did!
PLEASE be very careful when handling the boiling water. If it is your first time, I advise you ask someone else for help. If you are young, ask an adult for help. You can easily burn yourself handling hot water.

What will you need:
2 towels
1 pair of scissors (if you want to trim your ends)
1 pitcher
1 kettle (or anything to boil water)
*Keep your braids straight when dipping in the water
*Towel dry pulling down
*DO NOT blow dry, it will melt the braids. Just towel dry and air dry, it's really quick to dry.

Hot water does not damage your hair. Your scalp, yes. You hair, no. Flat irons are hotter then boiling water, think about it. And even a flat would have to be overused before it causes damage. No one is dipping their hair Every day, which you would have to dip Everyday to cause even a little damage 🤔

I tried this and it didn't work for my braid so I tried ironing it( funny I know) but it didn't work. it only got worse
esan oluwaseyi oh noo! Ironing it will only melt the hair! 😖. If it didn't work then it's the type of hair that you got. Some hair take work well.
You can use a towel between the braids and the iron, so they don't melt.

So my ends were too think so I tried scissor trimming them. But after dipping them they are still to think. What can I do?

We would just rather not put too much heat on our hair.

Michele Gibson I'm not sure I understand your question fully.
But I will attempt to answer.
If the ends of your braids are frizzy,
You want to boil some water, and carefully dip the tips of your braids.
Take it out with a towel in hand and immediately wrap with the towel so that the water does not touch you.
Just like I did in the video.
Hi! In the video you say make sure the braids are straight.. in the video it looks like yours are way more straight than mine.. so I was wondering if you did or added anything before dipping them in water

So when I say "make sure the braids are straight"
I mean just run your fingers through then and make sure they are not tangled or matted within each other.
I would not recommend putting any oils on your braids.
The best practice is to put your regular moisturizer on your scalp and hair before you get it braided.
If you have to wash your hair maybe 3 weeks into have the braids, just reapply your regular moisturizer to your roots.
