I'm going mad at 2 weeks how'd you hold up for 3 months
Sameee. My hair said “you wanna put me in box braids? Ha fuck that shit.” My hair is hard to cooperate with.😔😔😔
Lord have mercy! Braids for 3 months. I'm bored with the hair after 3 weeks , and it itches after a month even with washing every 2 weeks. I guess we all have different hair. It looks good though
Cleaning my scalp with water and apple cider vinegar has been a game changer for my scalp.
“ a lot of people wear bandannas to bed” (pulls off bandana immediately 🤣🤣🤣) . New subbie! ♥️ Great video
I needed this because my box braids be looking rough around the 2-3 week mark from growth. That’s also when I wash them as well. This was so helpful
Wow 3 months, your hair looks AMAZING. Great tips, thanks for sharing!
This literally just saved me during quarantine, I did your wash routine and then this with no water as recommended. My hair looks so fresh and clean! I am going to see how long the twists last before i have to redo.
i always feel like the braids are just gonna slip out when u yank them
I just got my box braids done because of watching you with them girl I was inspired
Omg thank you I needed this🥰 I’ve had braids in for almost 2 months now and I’ve been not only trying to figure out how to wash but maintain them🥺I watched both ur videos on them and it helped a ton!
When I had my braids I watched your older video on how to maintain and it worked so well for me! Helped my stretch my braids longer
I love how detailed your videos are and those are great tips. Yes girl!!! Thank you. That is what I will do when I have my braids😊
OMG Thank you so much!! I am a foster mom and have two African-American girls. I have done box braids on them, but take them out at the end of the week because I didn't know how to wash and maintain them. This will make doing and maintaining their hair so much easier! Thank you!
I did this method and My braids are almost 3 months old too thank you so much girl ......they still look new
Your hair grew a lot. I'm impressed by how you maintained them. They look good!
This was a very good detailed tip. I wouldn't have thought of anything such as this. This was awesome and very look very easy! I got to share this with my daughter ❤
I have my braids for two weeks and it's already itchy and dirty
Hagiratu bah u might want to put oil on the scalp area once in a while I think
I always wash my hair a week after I get my braids in. It’s the dye in the hair that causes your scalp to itch. I hate smelling people’s hair when they they have braids.
I love this video!! I usually keep my braids in for a month because after that they look a hot mess. After ur video, I know what to do. Appreciate you!
They seriously look brand new 👍🏽amazing!!
COVID-19's Quarantine brought me here. 3 months of braids still in! Video really helped! Thanks!
3 MONNNNNNTTHHHSS 😳
I am so glad I came across this video. I am getting my hair braided and I was stressing on how to maintain the hairline. THANKS GIRL!
Great tips in this video. I've had my braids in for almost a month and I plan on keeping them in for about 2 to maybe 3 months. These tips will definitely help me keep them look fresh. Thank you.
Awesome video. This will help me with my daughter's (and son... his natural hair is braided). Your hair looked awesome the entire 3 month. Can't wait to see the reveal of how your hair looks now that you've taken out the braids👍
I do this with mine too, the twisting method, it is just like palm twisting a loc, it really does refresh the look and the root. It helps save money too lol and stretches your braid life. Quick fix!
THX YOU...I HAVEN'T HAD BRAIDS SINCE JHS IM 34 AND IT WAS LIKE A WHOLE NEW WORLD FOR ME. THE BRAIDERS ARE YOUNGER AND THEIR TECHNIQUE IS WAY DIFFERENT FROM BACK IN THE DAY WHICH EXPLAINS THE PRICE NOW. HOWEVER SITTING IN THE CHAIR FOR 6 HRS WAS NOT MISSED LOL IAM ENJOYING MY BRAIDS GOT THEM JUNE 17TH 2021 AND STARTED WASHING THEM AFTER THE 4TH OF JULY. NOW WATCHING HOW YOU TWIST I WILL ATTEMPT TO A WASHING AND TWIST FOR MY TRIP JULY 30 - AUG 4TH AND THEN JUST TAKE OUT THE BRAIDS FINALLY. I TRULY ENJOYED YOUR VISEOS THANK YOU.
I was thinking of taking my braids out and making something else for my birthday, but I’m keeping these braids now... thanks 💗🤗
Definitely tried this one in a half months in with my box braids after washing and wow!!!! They look so fresh!!!
Thank you so much! I am using this on my daughter's braids. She hates when I re-braid the front part of her hair. This is much easier to do, takes so much less time, and looks fantastic! Thanks again!
Jealous! Got my box braids done and my hair after a month looks like yours does now. Wish I could've kept them in longer but yours look really good!
Been a fan of yours when you did the original video....I had been doing this method for a while now so thanks to you 🙂
Very helpful, thank you, I have in box braids now n was think about taking them out...will definitely try this.
I normally keep mine for two months or more for hair growth. My current one is almost three months. Thank you. Needed a way to keep the old braids looking fresh.
Thank you girl! 💜
I am doing this tomorrow! 👏🏾👏🏾
Great love this video thank u for sharing my braids are only 31/2 weeks old but I'm definitely going to give this method a try (twisting } your braids look refreshed and nice
Thank u very very much u have saved me today coz am done doing exactly like u have done and my 2 months hair looks brand new❤️❤️❤️
Great video!!! I like the way you explain things in detail. Thank you
This was so quick and you did a great job 😍 thank you for the tips.
Great info. Never thought of doing that. It looks great.
I used virgin olive oil mixed with water in a spray bottle, no build up and looks luminous
I love the half up half down styles and any style with a head band or wrap. All of them were cute honestly.
THIS WAS VERY HELPFUL THANKS !
I WILL BE DOING THIS TONIGHT
Shanique! Thanks for these tips! It really came in handy cos I have braids on currently!😅😅 Thank you😘
Will try some of your methods the next time I get box braids! Thank you!
That is the best method ever tnx alot may God bless you
Very descriptive and well explained, thank you 😍
Everyone hair is different , for those who are saying their hair looks like a year old after one month I think it just depends on your hair . My hair is naturally curly so I can put moose on my breads and it lays straight down versus some videos where I see a lot of frizziness from their natural hair on the braids . Everybody braids won’t look like this even if well maintained . Thanks for this video , I love the twisties ❤️🙏
Thanks for this video. I love my braids that looks as new ♥️
I‘m defenetly gonna try this out you explained this so good thank you 💕
Doing this as I'm watching you. So glad you posted this. I'll be sure to do this next time I install braids cause 4 months is a lil' too late for that 😅(taking them out next week). Thanks again for the video ❤💃🏽
Thank you very much
Helpful tips, appreciate this video 🌷🌷🌷

Hey Shanique l just came across yr channel l was literally stak with old braids ad it's e middle of the month 😔 thank you so much this is so helpful ad so simple 👏👏
Yes I love it 1 month in with my box Braids. 💃🏾💃🏾
Thank you ! I'll be using this if I face growth in about 2 months
Loving the lipstick💕 It really suits you! 😊
This helped big time! Thank you

See this is why I am a fan of youtube! I did it and I like it!
So pretty ❤️ I needed this video quarantine got me looking some type of way.
Shanique, It's Very Pretty❣️It Looks Like They've Been Totally Redone❣️
You are a life saver!!!! Thank you🙏🏾😭👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thank you for this! I'm trying to learn how to better care for my adopted daughter's hair. This was helpful!
My braids are a little over a month old. I just used your method and they look good.
Thank you so much for making this video
U have no idea how helpful this is
LOOKS GOOD! 😍
Shout out to you. You’re saving me so much time and money😩
THANK YOU SOO MUCH YOU MADE IT LOOK BETYER THAN WHEN IT WAS MADEEE
Waw so neat an nice my edges can't take braids so I don't wear them you maintained yours so well thank for sharing
Thanks! Braids can be tough on edges for some. What styles do you normally do?
I'm trying to keep my braids fresh as well I have it corn rolled in front and kocean wave curl I just cleaned it and I have a water based hairspray I use and a silky cap I place on. However before seeing your video I did take out one braid in the back because it literally looks like it's hanging by a thread.but now I'll use your twist method because I'm trying to keep these in for 3 mos, thanks for great advice!!
Cool so unique thanks👍
Listen I'm going on vacation in two days for a week. I refuse to take them down. So will definitely try the twisting method. Thank you 🙌👌😊
@@SpiceLifeTVshow it worked. I did one braid with a product (in the back) and the rest I did just sprayed with water. My hair didn't loc or anything. But the one with the product was more dry. So I would just use water. Definitely worked for me 😁
I started doing the twisting method (using shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie) and giiirrll you save my style and my wallet!
Omg!! thank you so much for this video - I am almost done with my first set of box braids ever, and I was looking for how to do the edges / hairline, but SO thankful for your tip about the shower, I've been wondering how I need to do the shower!!! Your braids look AMAZING, I love the natural looking part/crown area!
I was so intrigued by this video because this is how I sometimes maintain the roots of my locs 😭
Omg… I wish I watched your videos before my trip. They are awesome! Thank you so much for sharing these tips 🙏🏾
This is a nice idea. Thanks!
I never knew I needed this 😍 My braids never last long, (okay I take care of them the first 3 day and then I get annoyed... I'll change that) and my hair are completely broken (real hair) so this twisting method seems to pull much on the hair but it's the ideal to maintain the real hair and braid good and healthy together Thank you!
Thank you sooo much for this 😩❤️
Great video!
Loved this video. Absolutely incredible tips. I really appreciate you
That looked beautiful by the end of it. Wow
OMG she so pretty 😭❤
Very helpful going to try this. So my braids can last. At least six weeks. That was the plan before. I changed it to three weeks. Because they got frizzy. This can maybe push me to my six.
I Honestly like the twist and I Tried it and it worked
Thats awesome ..Two months is my limit..I love to wash my hair
This was so great, you really break it down how to do the technique and it makes me want to get some braids, awesome! ✋💞
Your messy braids are my neat braids 😭
After a month my hair gets frizzy and it’s time to bounce lol
To fix that ...who ever does your braides has to get a max hold gel that complements your hair or could even be the type of hair, also wetting the hair a lot can get it frizzy
Not saying these are the problems because i wouldn't know but it is suggestions in case one i mentioned is one
Right
My knotless braids started frizzing at 2-3 weeks. Thank God I came across this video.
😆😆😆
@@gianacoach ughh I thought I was the only one! Had Ming 2 weeks, they’re so fuzzy! 😔😔
