Can you achieve this style on older braids that were already dipped on straight ends when it was first done?
Yes you can, I did it last night and it worked well and made my old braids look brand new again due after re dipping 💜

I put braids in my daughter's and I do hers the exact same way and dip the ends. For the first Time The ends did not come out curly wavy and not sure why

Absolutely! Just boil some water and dip them in.

Yes. I had those braids in for a while.
My box braids are more thick, so Idk if this will work for me or not..
Imma potato it will. I never do my hair in small braids anymore and this still works 🙂
do your box braids need to be stopped higher up on the hit for it to curl ?
Not necessarily but having those unbraided ends definitely help 💛

If it is scorching hot yes. Refrain from dipping it immediately after you turn your boiling pot off of you know you Hair will dipped with the braiding hair.
