Thank you for these shorter length videos. Some days even a 30 min class can seem daunting but a 20 min or less class allows me to to complete it and feel good that I made it through to the end.
22 weeks pregnant! Dealing with ligament pain for a couple days now. I followed this video last night and I had a pretty good night sleep. Laid in bed tonight, and had so much pain again, so went to the living room to do this stretches again and my body feels better! Thank you!
Did your workouts/yoga by the end of second trimester, I had a lot of SPD and round ligament pain ( plus the occasional lower back problems). I couldn't fold forward or do the squat without pain. I'm happy to report that being in middle of 33 weeks I don't have any of these pains, I can do all these poses, and I feel much better and confident in my body. thank you so much for empowering pregnant women with these workouts!! sending love
I've had trouble sleeping with my past two pregnancies, but have been able to sleep so much better this pregnancy! This video has helped IMMENSELY in easing my nighttime soreness and pain which would often wake me up or keep me awake with my other two pregnancies. So, thank you! I have also had trouble in the past (even when not pregnant) with not being able to turn my brain off, and I've found that reciting memorized scripture (or another calming section of a book or story that you like to read) has been very helpful in letting me focus on something and fall asleep more easily, both when I first am going to sleep and when I wake up in the middle of the night to use the restroom, etc. Your kid yoga videos are also wonderful, and I would love to see a kids' bedtime yoga video! My son tries to do this one with me sometimes :-) So cute! Thank you for everything you do! My life has certainly improved since finding your channel. So grateful.
You asked for suggestions for sleep. Chamomile tea and a hot shower always helps me. The body temp drops when you sleep so taking hot bath/shower before bed helps you drift off to sleep with a tiny bit more ease. It has helped me in the past. Also, I got a pregnancy pillow and I sleep 100% more soundly & comfortably since getting it. Loved this video, than you!
I discovered your channel during my third trimester. Thank you so much. I feel so much more confident as labor day nears. I also love your yoga cards. I'm expecting my first baby as a 35+ mother. Been active my whole life but during the pandemic fell off the horse then got pregnant, but your workout videos have been a life saver these past weeks.
I’m 8 months pregnant and I’ve been able to sleep like a baby! I drink tart cherry juice (from Trader Joe’s) which naturally helps you sleep and also apply body butter with added magnesium :)
I love this! pregnancy insomnia and feeling more anxiety has def been a thing for me with this pregnancy. I'd love to see more full length gentle ying yoga holding stretch/relaxation poses for a looong time. Thank you!
I just stumbled upon this. I'm approximately 33 weeks with our rainbow baby and this will be my 4th delivery. My ledt hip and left lower pain pain kicks into high gearcwvery night for the past week before bed. I decided to try this tonight and HUGE difference! I can actually lay down and not practically ve in tears! Thank you so much! I even go weekly to chiropractor because my pelvic area, hips, sacrum are always so off!
Thank you so much for all your videos. I started watching them when I first found out I was pregnant and now I am 30 weeks. You have really helped me and continue to do so.
I’m so grateful to have found your channel. I wish I had found it before my GD diagnosis, but you have always been such a lifesaver in this final trimester. ❤
That couldn't have been more perfect for what I needed just before sleep. My hips have been aching over the past few weeks of sleep and the Cresent moon stretch and sciatica stretches felt soooo good and will be my go-tos from now on. Excited for sleep tonight! Thank you thank you! 🙌🙏💛
I've had lots of rib pain my whole pregnancy. One thing that's helped me sleep better (and wake up with less pain) is placing a long thin pillow perpindicularly under my waist or ribs while Im laying on my side, in addition to something between my knees and propping up my head. I had placed a pillow under just my belly before, but having a pillow go all the way underneath my body has really made a difference.
Thank you so much for this video! I’ve been plagued with horrific pelvic pain that would wake me up in the middle of the night and some how, this short yoga stretch took the pain away!!!❤❤❤
I found doing your video helped with my sleep. My belly hasn't been as heavy. Any aches or pains went away when I maintain a minimum amount of exercise.
Love this so much! Thank you! (Sleep has been an issue since month 3 and at the start of month 8 I’m a mess. This provides much needed relief, thank you 🙏🏻)
I did thus lastnight and I slept so good omg. So my routine was, shower, a cup of chamomile tea, and this class , right in my bed. I read for about 10 mins and was in a deep sleep. Which is kinda abnormal at 30 weeks, I can never sleep because I get up to use the bathroom too much or I'm extremely uncomfortable.. lol
Thank you. I have been enjoying your yoga videos. I would love another pre-bed yoga session. 'Ive had heaps of trouble sleeping so this had been very enjoyable.
I'm having a really hard time with pregnancy insomnia at 11 wks. Im hoping this will help out a bit before sleep. Anyone else undergoing the same thing?
Balanced to the Core Thanks, Gretchen! My husband laughed at me for using TP rolls, but I’m pretty sure not everyone has yoga blocks around 🤣 Hope you are having a great week!
I’ve been having the worst nights sleep. I wake up anxious with heart beating fast and feeling really hot. I will definitely give this a go. Thank you for the video. I hope it’s alright for yoga beginners though?
Have you made a postpartum bedtime yoga video? I would love to try that! One that’s diastasis recti safe? Thanks! You’re my go to for workouts because of my diastasis recti!
I love the usual videos although this one had too many interruptions with things you were offering. Nevertheless I will check out the yoga for syatica. Thanks
Pregnancy and Postpartum TV I am 24weeks along. It’s always on my right side and I’ve had it where I can’t stand and I cry from the pain before...I’ll be bringing it up to my obgyn because it’s just getting worse as I get further along
I am 27 weeks pregnant and I have hard time sleeping in the nighttime and I work in the daytime and I feel so exhausted but your yoga helps me through the night
I love all of your videos, my only suggestion on the sleep videos is to not market so many things to get/download/checkout. That's great for all the other videos, but for the sleep video, I'd like more mindful rest. Thank you for all the work/videos you do. I do at least one a day. I"m currently 36 weeks and 5 days. Namaste
Hi Chantel! THANK YOU so much for the suggestion. That makes so much sense :) I've stopped doing any promotion during the videos after a few people let me know it was distracting, but I can totally see how even at the end when you just want to drift off or relax it would be off-putting as well. YAY you are getting so close at 36+ 6 now! My second baby came at 37+0! Namaste
@@PregnancyandPostpartumTV It's wonderful to have someone so open to feedback :) It's the hardest part of sharing our work! I so very much appreciate you and am SO grateful for all of the content and videos you share. Thank you!
Just wanted to write again and thank you. I've been doing this every night since I found this video. Ive tried others, but for me this just hit the nail on the head for my hips and lower back relief before sleep. It's made a world of difference. I also pair it with a magnesium drink before bed and a very good pillow for my leg/body. I've been sleeping without pain again! 🙌 Game changer when I have to get up with a 3 year old at 530am haha. 🙏🙏🙏💛
Loved the stretches and helped to settle my achy pregnant body but struggled to focus on the practice with all of the plugs for different resources and links in the middle of the poses :( wish this was a little more yoga focused with the great resources at the end vs in the middle when The focus should be on breathing and connecting with baby.
Jaycee Pendleton Thank you so much for the valuable feedback! It makes so much sense when you say it that way (of course it would be interruptive to put other things mid-class). I will move it to the end. Thank you so much for taking the time to let me know 💕
Thank you so much for your useful videos. BTW, do you have any online courses (videos) recommendation for the prenatal courses? Because of the pandemic, I think it is a safer to learn the courses online. Thanks !
music-idealist yes, this is safe for third trimester as long as your doctor has approved prenatal yoga. It’s not designed to induce labor specifically, but any movement can help when your body is ready.
music-idealist This is a gentle prenatal yoga where all the poses are seated or lying down. You will have to ask your doctor if it’s safe for you. If you have a grade 1 placenta previa (low lying) then gentle yoga may be safe. Avoid wide leg positions, groin stretchers, or compressing the pelvic area. If it’s a full coverage placenta previa then this would not be safe as no yoga poses are recommended. Hope that helps.
Katarina H. So lucky to be a good sleeper! I actually am too, except in pregnancy and except with a baby who wakes me up 🤣 Thanks for the WLC Happy Friday!
I am 28 weeks along and was having the hardest time sleeping. I was restless and couldn’t get comfortable. Doing this combined with other tips given (eating a high protein and low GI carbohydrate snack mainly) have been a LIFE CHANGER! I would be interested to see if anyone has any other suggestions for a high protein and low gi carbohydrate snack before bed?
Hi Rachel! Happy the video and other changes you made are helping! I have a video on high protein/log GI snacks. It's titled for gestational diabetes, but has the same info ua-cam.com/video/D4XQ1V4_V2U/v-deo.html
