super impressed by autopots , ive been watching Chad Wesport get set up with his too . great review & impressed by how many roots there are , Ive just emptied my 5 & 10 gal cloth pots in soil & no where near that root structure you have in your autopots 😎
Just got a 8 pot xl system and will be using Gaia green. When you top dress, how often do you water the top so that the amendments can breakdown? Like the videos and thanks for sharing knowledge. ✌🏾✌🏾
Another awesome video Jeff, thank you. I'm keeping my eye on those air domes and base. I'm using hydration in my autopilot set-up for now, but always like to keep an open mind. Cheers :)
I have the airbases with airdomes too. I think I am going to stop using airbases and go back to straight coco/perlite. Did you notice your air stone has barely any roots around it now? Before I used them the roots absolutely surrounded the air stones like a thick meat patty or a solid hockey puck, every time. Airbases only have a few points to allow the roots to touch the floor preventing them from reaching the air. I am curious to see if there's any difference in yield.
Awesome video subscribed right away I have used this the auto pots for 2 runs so far I like and I like the idea if the air gagit I have one plant in a 4x4 in an autopot XL I have a few videos on it fingers crossed it works out lol
Im using my auto pots for the 1st time. I mixed roughly a 50 50 mix of rice hulls and coco. I turned the system on a few days ago. The plants are starting to get really light green so i dug down to check were the moistures at. I dug down 5 inches or so and its dry , is this normal or did i add to many rice hulls?
I prefer ordering from indoorfarmer in Canada. I am not affiliated with them or Autopot but I get much faster shipping and better customer service from Indoorfarmer than from Autopot Canada.
Thanks Jeff, Im an autopot grower and watch you closely :) Great video, learning lots from you. Can you point me to any video you have regarding top dressing with autopilots. Cheers
This is an old one of mine and i should really update this but this is the basic’s of how i like to do it. The biggest thing is to run a mulch layer and keep that top inch or so moist. ua-cam.com/video/6hnThQRbZWI/v-deo.html
If you let that root ball dry completely and dump them out on a tarp and just put your boots on and walk all over it it will break all the small roots up into almost nothing and the big stuff just cover them up and the worms will do them in in one year
I usually break them up and spread them through out my gardens in the yard and fill up my living soil bed in the green house, nothing goes to waste around here. Good tips though🤘🏻
Got nutrient lockout i think. Due to ph rising in rez to much. Rez is hardly going down. 1.would you fil rez with water an flush for few days. 2. Fil rez with low ec. 3. Take plants out trays and flush through but i wud be pushing salts from too of coco bak down

I am thinking its because of the plastic pots, they don’t get air pruned as much as the fabric ones do.

I add a nice thick layer of rice hulls to the top to keep the moisture up. I top dress once a month and add compost tea’s from the top twice a month.
Usually stays half decently moist when i do that. Enough to where the top layer doesn’t dry out.
Thanks

airbases are well worth the investment my friend. No more messing around with the hydroton balls
Would you suggest 3.9gal or 6gal for a 2 pot system. Growing Autos

I had over watering problems not using the air bases without clay pebbles.
Love how you break down which light is good for what

I have 6 pots with airdome running on an osaga mk-9510 pump. How much should I turn up the pump?
Looks like this airbase also blocks a lot of roots entering the bottom? Hardly anything on your root control disc!
Yea, 100% worth the 10$ each
🔥🔥🔥 need to try those autopots!!
Hell yes you do! They are a life saver!

AutoPot has a Canadian site as well. Will your code work there? Then us Canadians won’t need to worry about duty, extra shipping time and costs etc.

Killer
Great video bro 😎
Thanks dude! Much love
Whats up Jeff have a great weekend bro..
Hell ya dude! You as well!!
what nute line did you use?
Fully organic, promix bx for base media with sea soil compost, rice hulls, worm castings, gaia green 4-4-4, 2-8-4 bokashi and dynomyco.
Does the air dome affect PH?
Not that’ve noticed. Its more of a added dissolved oxygen for the roots.
