    good day I beg you how the water is supposed to be pummelled so the roots don't suffer so far I've had it traveled all the time but it seems to me then the roots rot it's only supposed to be let go once every two days for a certain amount of time?

    With the clay balls at the bottom how does any nutrient get to the Coco? The smart valve only fills to about half an inch and the clay balls are deeper than this and they don't wick. I'm imagining that roots will grow down into the liquid but all the Coco will be bone dry.

I got the single 2 pot system and one guide says to "place the Root Control Disc inside the pot gold face down" and then on the other guide that's with that package says to "place the Root Control Disc in the try gold face up!" so this makes things a bit confusing and conflicting... • @growell

      An air stone would work, but not with organic nutrients really, or normal SHOGUN Sumo Boost.
      You would need an air pump and air stone.
      A normal pump would certainly help keep the nutrients nicely mixed, but would not necessarily offer much in the way of oxygenation.

    • @growell

      Thanks for your reply

    • @growell
      @growell  4 роки тому +4

      We guess you could try but it sort of defeats the point of having an automated system? You'd also need to make sure that you allow a period of time for any run-off before putting the pots back on the trays, otherwise the thicker organic nutrient solution is still going to find a way into your pipes, causing potential blockages. Our general advice is still not to do this - good luck experimenting and let us know how you get on!

      you can feed organically with the new upgrade of aquavalve5,
      my english is not that good so i have one
      piece copied.
      AQUAvalve5 - a 66% Bigger Inlet
      The needs of growers are ever-evolving, served by an increasingly diverse range of nutrients. With a 5mm inlet, the new AQUAvalve5 rises to the challenge of delivering the widest range of nutrients in a faster flow for a quicker fill, maximising system efficiency. Maintenance is reduced and the risk of blockages minimised.
      Also you can make it compatible with the autopots you already have, read more here.

    how to prevent root fungus as the water always stays at the bottom and no air vent?

    • @growell
      @growell  3 роки тому +3

      This is something we've never come across in this system, there is only a small amount of solution left in the bottom tray. We recommend keeping the nutrient solution in your tank fresh and clean. Use a good medium in your AutoPot like 60/40 Clay Coco or 70/30 Coco. Usually with light loving plants they will also be drinking quite a lot so there is a low risk of root rot or fungus.

      there's 2 solutions for that , 1 - once the trays are full shut off the feed line till the water in the trays gets sucked up by the plant , once empty wait a cpl days and refill the trays and repeat ... 2 - there's air domes suggested to use inside your pots to feed air bubbles to the roots .... these should prevent your issues , gl

      @@TimRobson30 Not as good as automation. As you can feed as many times a day and one at night....and always at the regularity and set amounts. Once you have that dialed in, then you can twerk to perfection. ....and get some life back and be able to go away for a few days.
      Also I looked at flooding by hand and running off some extra into the tray and sucking it up with a wet vac, so I would have needed a 1m tray which costs about £21 and the wet vac, £40 watering can £5 and fabric pots £15 and a sterile new mixing bucket £9 equals about ninety quid.
      The coco bricks are £7.50 each so £30 for 4 and mixed with everything.....so about the same as coco + perlite and some clay chipping when filling 64 litres.
      I'd go for the Alien Easy Feed system as it has the wider tubes that don't need as much maintenance. After spending to get a good fan and controller T6 to regulate the tent and humidity, it seems natural to regulate the feeding as well, so you have a set table and feed sheet to work from as you fine tune your nutes ratios.
