When you want to take the pots out of the trays to work on your plants , have a 5 gallon bucket at the ready . Pick the pot up but not completely out of the tray , there will be a lot of runoff from the pot . Let it drain back into the tray and then place the 6.6 gallon pot inside the 5 gallon bucket . No mess and you can train your plants . When you put it back into the tray , do it slowly . If you do it to quickly the water from the tray will overflow . I learned the hard way . Water everywhere . I have a 4*4 try that I put my setup in in case you have an accident. The tray is worth the investment . Happy Growing 🪴
Great job guy! Your channel is blowing up over there! I commend you on a job well done! Not going to lie I fast forwarded though out the video, but I own the old model which gets set up the same way. I do like the new look wicking tray they added. And yeah didn't think about the up potting capabilities. Good luck 🤞 next run bigger roots bigger fruits
Now you need to do a run using the XL system with the fabric SmartPots. See how they compare to the plastic pots. The bases and everything else is the same.
Good content mad hatter, I just ordered the auto pot XL 4 pot and the air base with the air domes last night, your rite the copper side goes down! I use pro mix and pro mix BX for soil is this ok with auto pots an is 6 to 6.5 ok for ph? Thanks for your help you have awesome channel
Yes totally! You can use all sorts of medium in the autopots. I use both or organic soils and coco in my pots. They are pretty versatile, ph’ing to 6-6.5 is perfectly fine you’ll just have to check tour res to watch for ph drift. I use salt based bottle nutrients in my one setup and just plan water in my other.
@@madhatterorganics9944 thanks for your advice I use advance nutrients the whole line I have a pond pump to put in the bottom of the res tank I'll turn it on low speed an see how it does. I'm chopping down 4 grease monkey photos here in the next day or so I can't wait to set up the auto pots when they get here Wednesday once again thanks for your help
pm me and I can give you some hints on setting up a DIY version. I call it the TOTE-A-POT. Each of these autopot buckets cost like 40 usa dollars. My system costs roughly 14 bucks each if you source a lot of DIY stuff.
How about the air pump set up. Auto pot doesn't sell one or recommend a specific brand. So there is also no instructions. An airpump setup video on the pots would be great.
ive tried notill for 3 grows now , but couldnt get it running as well as i always did in autopots threw away the huge amount of soil and setup autopots again today
I have a question about your nutrients, you say you feed organic. I thought organic feeding and autopot were a no go 🤔 Would you care to explain how you do it? Im guessing its not through the water feeding as organic nutes will decay fast. Also what growing medium do you use or recommend for organic growing? Thanks in advance.
Cheers growmie. I'm running a autopot XL System. It rocks 💯💪🏾
