Don't be fooled, underneath this straight hair I have ahead of curls longing to be released and today I am going to share my pro-tips for bringing your hair back to healthy curls after straightening to help avoid damage! If you’re new then welcome, this channel is your guide to healthier hair and I am your mane girl Mell, a professional hairstylist with a specialization in curls, and this is exactly how I bring my curls back and the tips I have for you to bring them back to! I can do that with my 2C hair, just gotta spray some oil and maybe a leave in to soften the waves and my brush glides through like butter. Feels great!
Pro tip : you can watch series on flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching a lot of movies lately.

Ain’t that the truth though, I remember getting my hair blown out for my aunts wedding and literally a day later it started to rain and I was like well that lasted about as long as I thought it would.
Straightened my hair for over 10 years. Want nothing more than to be my true self again. I’m 52 and I never knew anything about how to care for my curls. Thank you Mel for showing me that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Big yay! My hair is fuller since following Mel. I searched after I noticed almost half of my hair had fallen out. I didn’t realize our hair needed nourishment. Oops.
@@kaptynssirensong2357 my whole life up until now I never used a deep conditioner and I’m 13 so Yeah the first 12 years of my life all I had was deva curl conditioner and shampoo and my mom usually washed my hair conditioned it and then put my hair in box braids and they where in for like 7 months so my hair did grow it just wasn’t that healthy and in 2017 I cut my hair super short and now my hairs almost waist length
@@kaptynssirensong2357 yeah I didn’t realize that ether until I was 12 and searched on UA-cam for hours of curly hair tips to grow and make your hair healthy and now I know I missed a lot of things 😂 but the good thing is my mom never straightened my hair my hair has only been straightened once professionally and once by myself didn’t go good 😂 so yeah I haven’t gotten a hair cut in like two years I need to trim my ends but I don’t want to do it my self hopefully this summer I can get a trim but our hairstylist recently moved away so we need to find a new one to cut all hair types because I have 3c hair my mom has 2b hair my younger sister has straight hair and my older sister has straight hair so yeah lol 😂

SEEESTERS!!! Beginning of quarantine I told myself I was gonna figure out how keep my hair natural and not have to straighten all the time. One year later and I’m lucky enough to love my natural hair and get endless comments about how it looks so good. I hope keeping my hair natural will help younger girls see the beauty in themselves and not have to change the way they look to fit in.

Same don’t get use to straight because we curly hair over here ✨💕!! I barely wear my hair straight, but once a year I’ll straighten it see how long it got, but it is nice to brush right through it. Mels personality is always good vibes 😊

I have learned soooo much from this video! I had no idea how important it is to prep your hair for straightening. I used to just blow dry and flat iron. I did absolutely nothing to protect my hair from the heat I would be putting it through. Thank you so much for all the videos you put out!

Hello Mell, I am a new subscriber. Love all your videos so far. I'm in my late 40's and always had long curly hair yet never knew what "defining your curls meant". Thanks to you now I know. ( I always just applied shampoo, conditioner and mousse) now I know I have to do more than that, specially at my age that I've lost my curls bounce and my hair has thinned out.
