I fished from a kayak for bout seven years and I loved it when boaters would fish right up next to me. I would just laugh as I reeled in fish and they couldn’t catch shit. Suddenly, they would want to be all friendly trying to see what I was throwing.

LOL, I just had a conversation with my neighbors last week about this same topic. Most women that get in a fight with another female they will bring out the claws and they'll hate the other to no end. Even if it means they self-destruct during the process, and hate each other till the sun burns out.
Us boys/men, will get in each other's face and shout profanity at each other. Maybe even tossing a few punches in the process. But usually when it's over, we are the best of friends forever. I've seen this played-out many times in my life and was involve in one or two of them. During my teenage years I've even seen a fight with a couple kids in the neighborhood. After one them got the better of the other, during the fight. He helped the other kid up and they hugged it out. Can't explain it but that's how it used to be growing up in the 70's & 80's. [Gotta love it]

Man I'm glad I have never run into a kayaker like that. Mmm. I know myself. And my buddies. I watched my partner in a team tourney beat a guy with a spinnerbait. Hooked him in his cheek and yanked it. Wasn't pretty but the guy left. We literally were boat to boat. He pulled up on us. And tried to go between us and the bank. My buddy told him he was to close. He said do something about it. And he did. We won lol.

Im not really understanding the kayakers issue. As a kayaker you have to realize you dont own a spot now when boats come flying by causing a wake when there's plenty of room to go around is aggrevating but even then its stupid to start a argument on the water nobody really settles things like men anymore they just get used to running that mouth on social media and feel invincible 😆

I don’t know about obvious.. I was on the boat and the kayak was clearly on the other side when we were idling up. He paddled across to the point when he saw us almost there in the no wake zone. I do agree common courtesy has left the planet. So has empathy and a lot of other good traits. It was just a funny video. No more, no less. I'll be fishing alone, fighting a monster fish hanging off the back of the boat with my net in hand when a wav boarder will go right past me usually at the wrong moment. Fishing boats too. Those wav board boats can damn near sink a pontoon boat. The waves are slow, and huge. This is where my thoughts about common courtesy come from. I'll check out some of your other content. I heard you say tournament fishing. I fish the trout tournaments here at Shasta. Where are you guys fishing?
