- Out at the Ramp early morning was there before sunrise to watch bass boats take off They had just left and the next boat Karen and Darren came in Wow was not expecting this one next thing I new I was told off Flipped off then they drove off. Lot of different boats Was a good moring talked to some other people exciting moring
Hahaha what a lovely couple… I sure hope they see this… hell imma fishing guide and forget my straps at least 3 times a year….
Owned boats for most of my life, in that time you get to see alot of boat drama, it is funny to watch the couple spending so much time getting ready only to forget the rear straps, and than not being able to laugh about it, looks like their great company for each other.
It wasn't just the rear tie downs. The winch clip was still on too 😝.
@@opticmanz I did see a video once wth a guy driving his boat with the trailer still attached, it takes all kinds.
Waiting at a boat ramp to load up. Saw a guy sitting in the boat and the woman backing the boat up. This guy was just cussing away at her . Go back , go back . He had the throttle at full reverse. The boat just sat there. He is cussing her out. There vans tailpipe is way underwater. Of course the dumb ass never took the back straps off. That woman should have put van in reverse and rock on gas pedal and walked away. Mind you there was about 20 spectators also. Lol
well said
Yeah, they were a couple of douche's. Definitely not the norm for us "Nauti's". Lol.
One thing I’ve learned from these videos is it looks like owning a boat is a big pain and not worth the hassle.
I don't know why more people don't do this, but when I owned a boat I made myself a laminated checklist. On the front I had a "before launching" section and a "launching" section, and on the back I had "before arrival" and "recovery". Never made any mistakes. I'm also a pilot, so that's where I got the idea. Even if you think you know what you're doing, you should always follow a checklist.
that is a good Idea we had to do that with truck driving to have a good day
I just want to say thank you! I’ve been looking into buying a boat and have been thinking the worst when it comes to things like that. This would keep me organized and ready. 👏👏👏
@@JaymeDeeRAV Sure thing. Make sure "install drain plug" is somewhere on the checklist!!! 😀
Do the same with our travel trailer. Pre/post flight check list and we double check each other. Egos don't belong here
Same with submarines; checklists galore....
The first boat to put in- that’s how it’s done! But man that’s a steep ramp. I thought the bass boat was going under before it came off the trailer. And I made that same mistake once, only once. gave it gas and boat didn’t want to go, then realized real quick I forgot the straps on the back. I quickly ran to back of boat, leaned over and snapped them lose. But I never stop at top of ramp and start loading stuff in boat like that. You do that out of the way of others trying to use the ramp.
Yeah blocking a busy ramp while you do what you should of done out in the lot is a great way to show people how important you think their time is.
Proper Ettiquett Should be Learned
Ya know, people make mistakes, no biggie and you’ve got to be able to laugh at yourself. Flipping the bird is just stupid and makes yourself look bad.
Absolutely right. There's not a single one of us who hasn't fumbled the ball at least once.
Forgetting the transom straps is a minor thing. Hell I've seen veteran tournament anglers forget the drain plug.
Hey, it happens.
That couple clearly has issues.
Why not just smile at the camera and say, "hey, it was just a brain fart" and laugh about it.
Look up the word "asshole" and you'll see a picture of this couple.
That’s not making yourself look bad, that’s making yourself look like a complete JACKASS! When you can’t laugh at yourself. Those two look like that they’re just better than everyone else………
but filming people on their vacation is also stupid
how about im your neighbor and filming in my yard. that your children playi g in the pool are "accidently" on the video (for hours- "sorry") is ok for you, isnt it?...
@@tomaiger If they are in full view of the public or from a public area then yes. It's the law.
Just because there’s no law against it does not mean it’s OK for you to do it it’s OK for you to do it. Maybe as long as you don’t get your ass kicked.
Wow
Way to go through life being miserable
Poor dogs
That couple deserves each other.
😂😂😂
Oh, I thought that was his daughter
Don't you know it's your fault that Karen and Darin didn't unstrap the boat. Lol
Yeah they probably thought that he was 'putting too much pressure on them' by filming because it FORCED THEM to make multiple mistakes. What a loser couple. 😔
@@pdee886< I am sure her frustration was doing without for a long time.
It's sad that people can't be cordial to each other now a days. When I go out, I offer the cameraman $20 to remove me from the video when I make a bonehead mistake. So far, I've gone through both kids college fund and thinking about taking out a second mortgage.🤣🤣🤣
GOAT comment. LOL. 😅
😂😂😂😂
😅🤣😂🤣😅😂🤣🤣🤣
You're awesome!
😊
That yamaha sounds like it's had better days
Sounds run hard and put away wet…just like it’s owners😢
Mercury sounded worse on pontoon boat and had no tell tail? Prob overheated and siezed while out😎
That thing sounded like a dry clutch Ducati.
Wow, they make such a great couple together! They were out of line with that.
I was not expecting that have a good day Steven
@@milonewadventure1583 you can tell by their demeaner from the start they were miserable people.
Strange they forget the tie downs, but he did remember his coffee.
I had a set order at the boat ramp and when I dropped off a semi-trailer. That way nothing was forgotten not even the coffee.
Be a shame if they came back in and the tires on the truck were flat.
@@ictpilot That would take the wind out of their sails.
Just remember my golden rule...anyone can buy a boat and that's why you gotta watch your back even on the water
How true
Kinda like a gun
I always get stuck waiting on the people that don’t know what they’re doing . Or the donkey blocking the ramp to strap down a kayak
That's whyibuilt myself a kayak caddie
@@Paulscottrock best part of a kayak, you don’t need a boat ramp !! Lol
Hzrbour master would be great
@@arribaficationwineho32 most of the ramps I use don’t even have docks let alone a harbor to master lol
@@Oldbasshole I assume that but I follow some and it seems anger quotient might be less with management but who would pay?
I'm a private person and like to keep to myself. I wouldn't want to have my boat launch filmed and then shared on UA-cam either. Having said that, if there was someone videoing when I go to launch my boat, I wouldn't give them the finger. Me being a private person is my issue and I don't expect other people to stop what they enjoy doing, such as making UA-cam videos.
Wow great comment at first was about to roll my eyes but the last sentence was perfect. I'm a private person myself and usually mess up when I know eyes are on me but what they do is them, life's way to short to be mad over something so small😊
Hard doing private stuff in a public place.
@@MattW0052 that is well known, what is your point?
Is the world you live in now. It doesn't matter where you are you're being filmed you can't whine about it. Also it will never change now.
@@MattW0052 You obviously didn't bother reading the WHOLE comment and went off half cocked at the first part of the statement...
Three generations of men going fishing together on the ol pontoon boat there is such a good wholesome thing to see…. I envy them. Family is such a great thing and those who have family to do things like that with should never take it for granted and cherish the time with loved ones. That said, I don’t even miss my boat that often anymore, but I do miss seeing people acting like complete idiots at the ol boat ramp.
They brought the kid along to drive the boat so Grandpa and his croneys could drink while fishing without getting a dui.
@Lee Hiller in Oregon they call it a "BOUI" boating under the influence
The most dangerous and entertaining thing you'll ever see, is a Yankee with an FL sticker
WATCH OUT
I prep the boat at home, including the drain plug, then unstrap it in the parking lot, passenger gets out and grabs the bow line, back into the water, the boat slides off, and I park the truck.
Takes no time at all, unless someone decides to unload all of their gear, while blocking the ramp.
how true that is have a good day Jake
Yeah, this kind of fishermen are like a disease without cure! I am glad to have a place by the jetty so i dont have to trail every time i go boating!
Same here but I solo launch. Back boat in water, jump on boat and move it out of the way of the ramp to the side, run back to truck, park truck, run back to boat before someone standing owner it taking inventory of my stuff! 🤣 I’m at the ramp for less than a minute and it’s open for the next boat.
Every busy boat launch I’ve used has a pre-launch and post launch parking area for prepping your boat and tying it down after.
Proper Preparation Prevents P!$$ Poor Performance!😆
Fun looking bunch. Glad to see he thinks you are #1.
Anyone else notice how the guys in the bass boats never have any of these issues and there boats are all ready to dump when the pull up to the ramp
The pursuit of fish is an important endeavor. Not to be approached in a half hazard manner.
🎣✌🍩
The Crappie boat was not their first rodeo. Sweet launch.looks like the keywest folks ain’t to bright😂😂😂
Hats off to you brother you took that better then I would have. I would have made sure they had to change a flat before they went back to the Rock they live under.
A flat tire? Make it plural!
Really? You would resort to breaking the law just because someone gave you the finger? You're part of the problem and probably the reason they act the way they do.
Karen and Darren just moved from California they really are trying to leave that old bad behavior behind. It is just hard not to blame others for their short comings and mistakes..... Someday we all hope they learn that behavior of a 12 yer old really isn't becoming of adults.
Man, I changed my mind. You can tell everything you need to know about this couple by looking at their damn dog!
lol
Yeah I thought the dog was a tell too. Leads to extra aggression for the dude cause that little dog is his pack leader lol.
The tracky bottoms were a bit of a giveaway. I know real class when I see it and I wasn't seeing it.
@@sussertheoriginal How about those faggy ass socks!!!
@@sussertheoriginal tracky bottoms?
Prep your boat at home not at the ramp
Such a shame that some people have to take themselves so seriously, they could have simply laughed off their blunder and had fun with it. But then he's a guy who wears socks with sandals !
10:50 That was uncalled for? The couple did jut fine, but forgot to untie the rear of the boat which is something that happens all the time to the best of boaters. What the HE__! Cheers to you as these are the people we are here to see ultimately, JERKS! 😁😎👍✌
Karen n Darren also dress the part geek shoes, socks, glasses they are totally committed to the lifestyle.
That bird made him look so much smarter..
When I get out of vehicle to prep boat to launch I always remember there are 4 things..
When I get back in vehicle I count on my fingers to make sure all 4 done.
Tie downs, plug, motor up, disconnect lights.
Before I even went to ramp for 1st time I practiced backing up in a parking lot.
I'd pretend a parking space was the ramp, and approached from both sides. If I had to pull forward a 2nd time it was a fail.
Pull away start over.
I didn't want to be "that guy" at the ramp.
They just confirmed what we already knew. Anyone thinking about getting a boat should watch these videos and see what it does to people.
That couple is miserable man. First thing in the morning, they’re out on the water but they are not a happy couple. Poor dogs probably get kicked and abused. Other boaters are happy, smiling and waving to you. Sad for those two. Thanks for the video!
Love your videos and glad to see your adventures as well. Thanks for posting this too. Have a nice day now.
Thank you have a Great Weekend
Tips for people new at the boat ramp get all of your stuff ready on your boat before you pull up to the ramp itself it is rude to everybody else that's knows what they're doing.
It's sad you even have to say this. But it's a world of Me Me Me and they'll never understand there are other people in this world.
And so much easier to do anywhere besides the ramp.
Air horns needed
They were also parked in a no parking zone!
Great video man! Its always fun to see people mess up something like a simple launch.
Thank You Victor have a good day
Daren & Karen are Share'n, communication skills of the Lonely and Dumb
I think the camera man's lonely and dumb.
Nah they were just telling the guy he was number one in their books. LOL
Years ago my wife and I had just started dating when we decided to get a burger and go to the lake to eat it. I suggested the boat ramp and she asked why. I laughed and assured her she would see. She did and c over the years it has become a regular entertaiment spot.
What's wrong with people? So you forgot to unhook the straps...it happens. Nothing to start flipping people off over.
I feel the pain/strain that 60 has on the toon boat.
He showed his true character with the finger. Would have been normal for humble person to wave and acknowledge they made a newbie mistake!
They sure know how to be miserable while having a good time.
I used 2 have a marine service company located right on the boat ramp! Never a dull moment! After gaining our composure from hysterical laughter we usually ended up performing sum kind of rescue! 🤯😳😂
Look at his socks🤣
We all have those days. My son always reminds me now to put my plug in.... Love your show.
A Butt Plug ?
Karen and Darren is like hurricane and tornado strolling through the neighborhood.
lol
I remember being soo excited to take my brand new Ranger out...I did a stellar job launching... Get out to the fishing hole, land a musky keep fishing... next thing I know water is coming up through the skupper holes. Silly me forgot the drain plug. Pulled the boat to shore put the drain plug in and kept fishing. Had a good laugh at myself.
That last boat was gorgeous! I wish I could go back to my younger days and buy a bass boat.
Got a chuckle on that one .
Then flips you the bird.
What a dirt ball!
Funny to me how Karen and Darren should have done all the prep in the parking lot with the dogs, straps and the 30 oz Diet Coke but failed then cracked under pressure then blame it all on the camera guy 🤦🏻♂️
This is the more chill version of miami boat ramps lol.
We had a few boats when I was growing up. It wasn't fast in the least but I think our pontoon was my fave.
Nice vid.
Thank you
Half a million views. I'd say this guy DOES have a real job. And Karen and Darren were the biggest contributors.
I hope he doesn’t loose one of those cute blue socks…they are dashing..
They must be new to owning a boat. Forgetting straps happens to everyone. But they brought way to much stuff. That boat just got way smaller.
Darrin not removing his straps was a mistake probably most boaters have made at least once but the finger really exposed his lack of self confidence. I have been boating for over 50 years and nothing has changed at the boat launch.
Yup I think they were fine until you caught them messing up. And then they got angry, some people just want to think that they are perfect and never make mistakes. And then blame it on others. That still wasn't very nice of them though.
When someone flips you off, say, are you telling me I'm number one, or is that how many friends you had before your Dog Died ?
They was so busy looking at you they forgot to take the rear ties of ha ha some people are just born rude 👍👍👍
How true that is have a great day Phil
He already knows, he indeed is not gonna have fun😂
The guy was so embarrassed.... but his response shows his intellect.
The fact that she’s driving and they have a dog in a Hawaiian shirt should be clues
I don’t get it… why does the fact that she’s driving serve as a clue?
Lol... nice straps on the Key West... That clapped out 90 didn't stand a chance....
I don't get the forgetting the straps or drain plug. I have to go through a 2hr process of raising the mast, mounting the outboard, connecting solar/battery and electronics before I can even think about the unhooking the straps. I park at the back of the lot during setup to be out of the way and a few people usually show up to watch a mast raising. Also I physically go around my boat 1 last time before launch doing a check list like a pilot before take-off.
So manly walking that little dog.
I bet these two are on a neighbor from hell vide. LoL
Welcome to boater's world 😅🥳
Lots of bass boats boy it was crazy ... guy on the boat was like okay buddy, bless your heart ❤️ he thought you were special like Special Olympics
Hey in 40 years of boating I have done everyone of those things especially after getting up at four AM and driving two hours brain fog!
That engine is going to leave someone stranded.
Dont they have boat prep lanes? We do in Colorado and the park police would not let you launch if they notice you have a drain plug or your tow straps on. This is boating 101 folks. But the boating one01 people is what makes these videos and hanging around the ramp waiting for the trailer so enjoyable.
Fishing boat in the beginning was the smoothest launch I’ve ever seen
They wait till they are taking off to give you attitude. Classic.
I don't even own a boat and I could see the problem as soon as they started backing in.
It never ceases to amaze me when people are caught making stupid mistakes on camera they get belligerent at the person filming them.
Insult to injury, I guess .... when I do something dumb I usually look around to see if anyone one saw me, worse than the physical pain
Embarrassment quotitient
Dude's got too much Rum in his Coke.
They brought their dog AND their cat? 🎖It's great entertainment to watch someone do something stupid (we all do it) and then get angry at others simply because they witnessed it. Yeah, I remember when I was five years old...
😆😂
Nice boat blue pearl!❤
You can tell he’s hard by the super tough Pomeranian.
Good job with the pontoon, young man.
had boats from 10 ft to 27 ft..10 hp to 305 v8 inboards...the best was the last and took me yrs to find the one I loved...20 ft pontoon boat...I was not happy to sell it...health just couldn't handle it any more..
Yes i understand that have a good day
Funny story, and you showed up random on my feed. We had a 15.5 Bonita (what I was told, lol, sont crucify what I was told as a child, lol)... My dad and I went out to the local chain of lakes, Winter Park, FL. We get the boat in and it's starts filling with water. My dad forgot to put the plug in. Whatever plug that was. He told me to ride as fast as I could, riding the boat so it was inclined, to drain the water and he could put the plug in. I was terrified 😰, lol. Maybe
14 y/o? We drained the boat, got the plug in, and dad made me swear I'd not tell mom 😍😂 I'm 54 y/o now... Would love a boat. Those memories are priceless 💔🙏💕
Very cool story Thank You for sharing
As that boat was backing down I was like those straps still on that thing?.........wow lol
Karen got on my nerves continually petting the dog instead of troubleshooting to see what was wrong. Also that 2 stroke sounded horrible! Glad I had a 4 stroke !
Nice little skiff plenty
Should have flown a drone on top of them while idling out 😂
I noticed the tie downs still attached @ 4.49 Karen and Darren are both pretty slow. It took them forever to get ready. And they still screw it up! Watching the two guys roll up i the 'Bass boat' launch and off, Beautiful to see. The along comes slow poke Joe in the "Blue pearl" and drags everyone down.
Haha I sold that boat to those 2 about 2 years ago. They took that little dog on the test drive. If you guys see this glad to see y'all are still enjoying the boat. Also I like the little upgrades you guy's did. It looks very nice. Don't pay any attention to this guy filming Have fun on the water
Let me know if you 2 see this.
@@thebuonocore9818what’s the problem with him filming? It’s a nice boat but the owners aren’t so nice. I see people weren’t taught as kids if you don’t have something nice to say don’t say anything at all. You can tell how immature the couple is by their actions.
Thank You
Dude was just pissed because he made himself look like an idiot.😂
Bro I just Love sitting at the Boat Ramp and Watching Boater's load and unload ! It's a Comedy Show !!
Did anyone see a life jacket? This pair should not be allowed out without supervision!
When I worked Las Vegas Boat Harbor/Lake Mead Marina I got a kick watching boaters come in every day at our courtest docks and F up beyond belief. I wish I would of thought of making it into a UA-cam channel.
lol
These videos are awesome. I watched hours and taught myself the best way to self launch. If I had to figure out all the mistakes myself it probably would had got expensive with the repairs. 😂
The same people who forget the tie straps also forget the drain plug isn’t screwed in.
We need a couple of more. "Oh yeahs!" 😂😂😂
that seagull sure did sound mad
Those sky blue socks are pretty hip man !
Poles are in the rod locker there bub (Port side of the bow)... Big boys, big toys...
By the time those super friendly people are done screwing around it is time to load back up LOL
I like the paint job on blue pearl
LOL I would have just told you I was checking to be sure my boat could hold my trailer up.
2 stroke Karen and Darren got salty cause they forgot the trailer straps. Gotta blame somebody and you were the only one around lol
Thank You have a good night
