My blue Nile 15k diamond came with Gia lazer number on diamond and u can upgrade if you double the price of original diamond. Blue Nike has diamonds from all over the world :) I got my own setting that we loved
Blue Nile was a disruptor when it started, but it is no longer the best in technology, customer service, price, or selection. James Allen (also owned by Signet) is ahead of BN for technology, customer service and selection. JA pioneered the 360 view, which is used by online retailers today.
For diamonds, both BN and JA mark up their prices quite a lot, which is why they blank out the GIA report numbers to minimize price matching. The settings from JA are more extensive and customizable. There's a reason why BN has been losing market share and had to be acquired at a much lower price after a failed IPO attempt.
While GIA and IGI certifications vary more for mined diamonds, the gap between GIA and IGI certifications is very narrow for lab grown diamonds. Some IGI-certified lab grown diamonds have an additional Hearts & Arrows classification on the certificate. Though rare, these diamonds are better than equivalent GIA-certified lab grown diamonds.
Hey, I am currently looking for buying an engagement ring online. Why online? Cause I live in Europe and it's cheaper than what we got here (some SI1 G color 0.5 carat diamonds are sold for 5k here which is insane). Is there any online shops you would recommend buying from? Cause JA and BN seem to be very reasonable, but on the other hand I see lots of negative reviews about their customer service after they were bough by another company or its just some unlucky few and it's fine to buy from them? Thank you in advance!

I see the original poster hasn't responded, Brian Gavin was one of the founders of Whiteflash and an early proponent of the importance of cut quality and educating the consumer. Years ago he started a new business under his own name, his diamond brand and the original ACA are among the most beautiful and best cut diamonds in the world, as are Infinity Diamonds from Antwerp. Usually AGS is the preferred grading lab for these stones, it's a pity the maker of this video seems to be biased towards GIA when AGS's cut grade is considered to be the gold standard, not GIA. I have no affiliation with any lab or company, just many years of experience in the industry.
Lab Diamonds are good to wear nowadays without fear of losing. But they can never compare to natural diamonds cuz still be detected by machine and no resale value.

@@elatab11 I mean I’m currently studying with gia. I own several lab diamond pieces. And several natural diamond pieces. The labs are just overall more impressive to me. The fact that an intelligent species on a planet in the middle of the universe was able to mimic nature in such a beautiful way.

Just to add AGS is a highly respected lab and their cut grading is the best, hence AGS0 Ideal. This lab is just as respected as GIA and their cut grading system is often preferred.
AGS no longer does cut grading. They stopped recently. You will notice there are virtually no AGS graded diamonds on the market now.
No sure what the point of this video is. If you are searching for a loose diamond with a given set of specifications, just visit the different sites and pick the one that suits you. It almost as if this video is suggesting that you only use one site? I don't really care who I purchase my diamond from as long as it comes with a GIA certificated.

Every single lab diamond on Blue Nile's website has strong fluorescence. Try resetting all the filters and only changing the fluorescence filter to see what I mean.

@@boths6ify I think lab Diamonds are better. Because a lot of diamonds are mined in the blood of others. Where as Lab diamonds aren't. And its a guarantee that it wont be a blood diamond.
