Feedback From One of Vanessa's UA-cam Viewers:
"I want to say that I love love love your youtube videos...and you helped me answer a huge lingering question that I had about halo rings... I couldn't figure out why I absolutely LOVED some and hated others. And it all made sense when I watched your video about building the halo to fit the exact shape of the diamond, and setting the diamond low so that there can be 'seamless bling'...Yay!"

Thank you for your lovely comment! (Getting a "chefs kiss" is one of my favorites because I love good food, Lol)
I'm thrilled that you find my work and craftsmanship beautiful. It means A LOT to me. Wishing you a _wonderful_ 25 year wedding anniversary celebration in November! If I can play a part in that milestone, it would truly be an honor. :)
Let your husband know that getting in touch with me 2-3 months before your anniversary is ideal since it takes at least 6 weeks to create your custom masterpiece and sometimes we have a waitlist, especially before the holidays. (* If he mentions you wrote to me on this UA-cam comment, I'll be sure to give you priority! * )

Is there anything specific you're noticing? Try not to let it turn into a case of ring OCD. Remember, it's the symbol of love and commitment that truly matters. ❤

I’m so picky with prongs and how symmetrical and comfortable they are! I’ve bought myself various diamond and gemstone rings and I know which ones I can run my fingers through my hair with and which ones I cannot 😒 I have a few claw ones that are set extremely flush to the stone, aren’t bulky, but they catch my hair regardless. They look amazing and don’t scratch my skin at all but fibers…they will scratch 😕 My favorite prongs I own are maybe not the most visually appealing but dang they’re comfy and don’t catch on ANYTHING-they’re a worn rounded (vintage piece) and structurally very secure for my Asscher 🥰

Thank you for sharing insights on the prongs on your various rings! It's all about finding that perfect balance between comfort and style when it comes to jewelry, right?

Every day I watching different videos about how jewelry is made, I am interested in this topic. And I see mistakes almost every day 🙂
In your ring designs, you place a lot of stones - crystals or diamonds around the circumference of the ring, from top to almost to the bottom, and this is also not right. It's my opinion. Yes, the ring looks shinier, it has more stones, but the problem is that the rings spin on the finger, whether we like it or not, they spin. And when the ring turns on your finger, touching something, or when you take something in your hand, you touch this or that detail with stones. And very soon the stones begin to fall out. I have personally seen this problem. In my opinion, stones should not be installed more than half the circumference of the ring. Although, if you are rich and losing some stones or diamonds is not a problem for you, then yes, you can set diamonds generally around the entire circumference of the ring 🙂

I appreciate your feedback - I agree with you that it's essential to consider the practicality of any ring design, especially regarding stone placement. In our case, we keep a client's lifestyle in mind when designing each ring. Factors such as their profession or hobbies shape our design approach.
For example, if her work or daily activities don't pair well with certain ring styles, we'll explain that beforehand. Here are just a couple of circumstances where this conversation has been helpful:
      1) Many of our clients are Nurses or have a profession where they wear gloves. In that case, we aim to keep her ring low-profile so it doesn't stick up unnecessarily too high.
      2) If a client says she cooks or bakes a lot and doesn't plan to remove her ring, yet also doesn't want to worry about her ring getting too dirty, a solitaire style may be more suitable. I'll recommend not having multiple diamonds along the setting in case ingredients such as pasta sauce or dough get stuck in between the diamonds, which would be more high maintenance for her to keep clean.
Ultimately, we strive to find that perfect balance between the look she loves AND a ring that feels comfortable for daily wear.
Regarding stone placement, we position stones in areas least susceptible to damage. It's VERY rare to have one of the small side stones fall out of our rings (and I mean, RARE). I can't even remember the last time it happened. While no ring is impervious to damage, our meticulous setting techniques make it highly unlikely for stones to detach.
On engagement rings with a clear top/bottom orientation, we have wonderful success with diamonds extending halfway or 3/4 down the band. The bottom of the ring will experience the most wear, so we don't put diamonds beyond 3/4 unless specifically requested by a client.
When it comes to Eternity wedding bands, there is no obvious "Top/Bottom" so it tends to spin a little more evenly and can withstand diamonds going all the way around. Of course, there are drawbacks to this style as well because then the ring cannot be sized.
When it comes to design, there are pros and cons for everything, which is why we like to take a holistic perspective on how it works with our clients' lifestyles. I hope this provides insight into how we approach our ring designs.
Thank you for watching! Wishing you a beautiful rest of your day! :)

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I suspect you have never worn one of Vanessa's creations. My halo ring is a vision of sparkle with no spaces whatsoever between the diamonds. The diamonds on the double split shank go 3/4 of the way around and there has never been a view of anything but diamonds on my finger. I have a sizeable center diamond and petite fingers but the ring does not spin on my finger . . . even when the weather gets cold and the ring is looser. Vanessa has engineered the ring so that the center stone snuggles seamlessly down into the diamond halo which lowers the center of gravity of the ring. The head may shift from side to side but has never spun around so that the plain metal band shows. I have worn rings that spin but not this one!
I am not rich and losing a diamond in my ring would really upset me. I do own a different ring with two bands of tiny diamonds surrounding the entire ring so I am aware of the pitfalls of wearing an eternity band style of ring. Vanessa's ring is the best of both worlds: I never see anything but diamonds on my finger and I don't have to worry about losing a diamond on the underside. I love MY ring that Vanessa created for ME. 😍

@akgoldbear7669 Absolutely, my pleasure! It's pouring rain here in San Diego today, so I decided to work from home and catch up on emails/admin, which allowed more time to provide a thorough reply. (There's a joke that many Californians can't handle driving in inclement weather, and in my case, it's true, Lol.)
In fact, I appreciated having the opportunity to respond because it has now inspired me to create a future video on this! Thank you! :)

@auag3666 You are THE BEST for chiming in. You just made my entire day. : )
In fact, I was telling my kids this morning when we were making breakfast smoothies the *importance* of taking time to make something _juuuust_ right, so I'm going to read them your message when they get home from school to solidify my point.
A work win AND parenting win = A successful day! 😍
