Looks great man! I was thinking of switching to a similar setup but with a 1-6x24 instead of that MPVO

Ooo that’d be a good combo too!

For the larue mount, are you not concerned that an impact on the dot goes directly into the tube of your scope vs the base of a scope mount on a badger or reptillia mount?

Was just looking for a piggyback mount for the same scope, so thanks, I'll have to try that mount out.

Go for it! FYI, LaRue can take a while to ship. I think my order shipped two weeks after purchasing (credit card not charged until shipment) and wasn’t able to reach them via phone, Instagram, or email. Not tryna sh*t talk, but stating my experience. Product itself arrived well-packed and in good condition.

Hi James. Great relaxing video. Quick question about your M16A4: how comfortable do you find the LOP and eye relief? I'm looking at getting one but I'm on the shorter side, and have heard that it's a bit cumbersome for shorter people. For reference I'm 5'5".

Hey thanks man! So, it depends on whether I have an ACOG on there or the carry handle. If it's the ACOG, then I find that removing the rear sight and putting the ACOG all the way back towards the charging handle makes the LOP and eye relief much more comfortable. If you want to keep the rear sight, then it's absolutely doable, but not optimal. I choose this setup because it looks the coolest LOL. Some people also get around this by just having extended mounts but I don't want to spend more money lol.
If it's the carry handle or the MATech rear sight, then the M16A4 has by far the most comfortable LOP for me. That A2 stock just feels PERFECT that way. Even though my M4A1 is my favorite gun, I think the M16A4's eye relief and LOP is just pristine, man. I'm 5'8".

If you are gonna be shooting mostly prone or from a bipod an a2 length lower is fine. However an a1 length lower is just better for all situations especially firing unsupported. I'm 5'6"
Shouldn't have an eye relief problem with any 1913 mounted optic. Just use a quality cantilever mount.
