- Back at the range trying to practice longer-distance skills at only 100yds based on range limitations. While there are some things you must do at long range, you can still use a few of these exercises to work on the fundamentals.
Love that you’re reviewing this gun around the time I’m starting to think about purchasing. Definitely in love with the quad rail. 😂
Hell yeah, the quad rail is great! You’ll love it if you get it. This is definitely my favorite rifle.
I have the dd mk 18 and the dd m4a1 both ris ii.. i love them.. they take a beating.. i used to go shooting 4 times a month and put many rounds down range and theyre tried and true. They also hold zero really well.. i know guys will say , why spend so much on a rifle, well, buy once cry once seriously. I have friends who like 6 different ar's and they always have a problem..u get what u pay for..
@@filipinophreak I plan on getting a good lower and getting the M4A1 first then maybe an MK18 upper in the future. I haven’t heard a bad review yet. Had the opportunity to shoot one as well and was more than impressed. Everyone seemed to complain about the weight only but after carrying one for a little while it wasn’t as bad as I thought. Wish I could’ve spent more time with it but I’m sold regardless. And I don’t plan on buying many rifles anyways (unless it’s a different caliber etc).
@@georgepeak861 yes, after optics, forgrip, silencer its pretty heavy but in do time ull get used to it.. damn thing is bomb proof.. those 2 rifles are my go to.. both for home defense but the 14.5 is also used when traveling. Its hard to travel state to state with the mk18 because its a nfa item.. but yes, if ur going to make an investment, make a good one.. u wont regret it.. i promise u
Ah, just heard you say you’re in Texas also! I’m in the North Texas area, but my favorite range is out in Odessa!
Just found your site, and am enjoying your videos. Here in Texas, I’ve been able to go out to 400 yards, but locally, it’s 200 tops. I keep my AR’s zeroed for 50/200 (or 50/230 in the case of my A4). So when I’m on a shorter range, I practice using the appropriate holdover/under, which tends to confirm if I was shooting further, I would be good-to-go. Check out my site-the video production is rank amateur, but it’s been a fun way to record me, my buddy, my wife, and my son’s shooting.
Nice camera shots! What's the furthest distance you've practiced?
