Great video as always. I only discovered your channel recently (gutted to have missed the merch!) but have binged half of your videos already! As someone who has been running consistently for a few years without any real programming/proper training, I'm looking to up my game a bit. I would absolutely love to see a beginners guide to training, particularly all the terminology, what different run types are good for and how to do them. Strides, intervals, tempo runs, sessions, workouts etc!
I purchased the Manta sleep mask when Phily got the first sponsor. Honest review: LIFESAVER on the plane for redeyes. I took it to Amsterdam from Canada and fell asleep before the plane took off!.... Woke up.... after we landed. Must have for planes. I am still getting used to it during regular sleep, I subconsciously take it off during the night. BUT! According to my Garmin, I am falling asleep much faster! Great overall, worth the price, thanks Phily for the recommendation and savings :)
Personally I’d love an in-depth warm up video…I know you have one on your channel already but maybe demonstrating each step and explaining why each warm up helps running form or something…Im pretty new to running and sometimes I feel like I’m copying what I see others do but I’m not sure why I’m doing it! Thank you!
I love your altitude trips, phily. Can't wait for the next one. Its ladies like you who are helping to drive my training too. It makes it fun to do. Hard but fun. I've had a brilliant season this year unassailable in my league. 😮😊 some excellent fast times. Well for me lol. Keep your sessions coming love the grind phily xx
Hey Philiy, Thanks for the Great Video, the realness is much appreciated! Do you have any tips on how to begin with sessions? I am new to running and usually only run either 5km or 10-12km in a 5:30 min/km pace:) also, I know you always share bits of the warm up, for me a video dedicated on how to properly warm up before a run would be really helpful as well! thank you so much for everything you put out there! I hope you have the best time with the girls at altitude training:)❤
Love your videos and wishing you all the best preparing for Houston marathon which by the way I'm running too 😀. Hope to see there! Is it possible for you to put on the screen whole workouts? I know you did but I mean with warm up and cool down and all of in between. Thanks 😊
Ah sweet!!! Great choice 😉 The warm up and cool down are honestly pretty boring, just 2-3 miles of jogging (and drills of course, which I don’t log as volume!)
Great video again, I have got myself the Bluetooth manta sleep mask and play rain sounds to block any noise. Amazing sleep, and amazing products from Manta.
Do you count cross training in the mileage? And also how often do you do strength training/core/rehab? I think a really interesting video would be how to structure all the components of a good running program (hard runs, easy runs, long runs, heavy strength, plyos, rehab/activation, core, recovery/massage) into a week? I sometimes struggle to get it to fit right!
You are all having such a good time 🙂 Its great to watch, and will add more to your training, that you have so much fun at the same time. Good support and great experiences bring extra energy. Any specific mountain hill-sessions, maybe going to the trails (you know, MUD! 😀)? I would not say that I doubt my personal fitness (well, we all do... Dont we? 😀 ), but I've come to doubt my trainingplan. Sort of.up I'm peaking my pre-marathon training these last 9 days, ending it with a pretty evil 30K trailrun tomorrow, then having totalled 120K in the last 9 days. For a petty amateur of 60 years of age, thats quite a lot and my legs and body are quite tired now, 24 hours before the trail race. No injuries though, as I've progressed according to my plan and have a solid base already, but I'm not going for a PB, win, or anything else than just doing the run on that 30K. After that it's just a controlled taper for two weeks, until the marathon. Some altitude training would be nice.
Great video. I try to plan windy runs against the wind first half and with the wind second half, in sessions that would be for each 5k (depends of course on the area) and that's the only way for me to survive 😉. Also, here's a little challenge for you Phily: what would be 'Love the grind' in French ?
Hey, we have snow, isn't that sweet, normally it doesn't hit before Halloween but it has and we will now wait and see if it stays but it does seem intent on sticking with us but it has only been 2 days so who knows. So I'm not at altitude and I have snow :(
I’ve live in Houston Tx my entire life. So naturally Spanish is my second language. Because Texas and Mexico literally touch each. Is that that same for y’all and French?
France and England are separated by the English Channel, and British people are much less likely to speak a second language because English is so commonly spoken, which is kind of a blessing and a curse!
Awesome video, bit of everything… mid run 💩 info, french bakery ordering lesson, 10 seconds of Hollys fine legs, napping tips, Philly cam, training motivation for tough days and even the word boobies 🤭😂 (sorry my maturity level is very low today)
There's something deeply satisfying about the sessions you think were crap and then looking at the data and realising they were bang on. But, come on, nearly as good as choccy milk? Really??? Fake news!
Haha yup for sure, you only kick yourself you were so hard on yourself in the first place!! I’d say it’s 75% of the way there, chocolate will always be elite
I love your content and follow along as I get into marathons, but it’s pretty painful to see your use of the derogatory word ‘savage’ in several videos. This word isn’t accepted here in Canada and it shouldn’t be in Britain either. I think with your coaching and leadership position, being more considerate of the language you use would go a long way
Here I am very proud of my 15 mile week watching Philly talk about a 100 mile week.
One day - maybe - probably never 😂

Love all the altitude training videos. Really hoping the ad revenue of these videos pays for many more altitude stays!
I think she’d be lucky to pay for a sandwich at the airport with the UA-cam income atm.
@@toasterboy708useful way to attract people for coaching which I’m suspecting is her big money maker

The editing for this one is on point *chef's kiss*
id love you to have a 1 on 1 chat with your teammates, so we learn more about their goals and what motivates them
Great idea!
Funny and informative, good work Phily and Daniel. "Traitor" when Anya was putting on her shoes was the highlight!
5:36 😂 that caught me off guard well done great timing. Keep up the great content
Like an NFL referee “Upon further review…” the session was a success! Good job!
Great video, loved the Star Wars kilometers too.
Spent some time in Font Romeu and the altitude is no joke. Every run felt hard going. Well done Phily.
It’s humbling for sure!
Daniel, you HAVE to include a Band of Brothers salute in EVERY video, please?

Hard sesh so well done! and your French is clearly improving, bravo 🙂

You're the best. Always a pleasure. 😉😉👏👏👍👍🎉🎉
great video! thanks for including min/km!!
Great video! Keep up the good work.
Stomach problems & wind 😮 - thanks for the warning up front…😂

Olo philly, just wondering how many miles before u get a new pair of carbon shoes, thanks.

I ordered the mask, been thinking about it for awhile. We shall see.
Won't be able to watch you guys run with out thinking about Blossum, Bubbles and Buttercup!😂
Loved Daniel's Star Wars references!! 😂
*Pretends to have seen Star Wars* 😬
@@PhilyBowden Hahahaha!
You a born entertainer I tell you!! Great video again...even if it was a poop session 🤔🤭
What sunglasses do you wear?
By wind, do you mean the air, or something with your bowels. 😂 I just never know with Phily.

So many beautiful and fast runners!!! 😊
I've still got zero idea what session niamh was doing 😂
Good job at camp!
J'adore le grind 😊
This needs to be on a t-shirt…
When I convert my 3x3 miles I set the watch at exactly 3x4.8Kms. Just saying. 😭
The super easy runs are the most challenging for me lol. Patience isn't my strong suit.
There is no questioning fitness when you're at altitude
I didn't take you for a Star Wars fanatic ... or did a certain someone edit this video? 😛 Keep racking up those runs and sessions!

Awesome 😂
You coros has effort pace right?
Oui, but it doesn’t factor in wind or altitude, just hills
stomach problems and wind...same thing innit
Same but different 😂
Alexi Pappas agrees with you - sweaty kit off asap.
more Niamh
0 dislikes. WOW!
LOLOLOLOL-- the sweaty sports bra bit got me goooooood today Phily! 🤣🤣🤣
Always essential!
That advice was pb material
Looked like a tough session....and at altitude too!
Why do you use miles when you’re british? Genuine question.
Can't be feeling good all the time.

It’s a free side effect and I’m here for it 😂

Great video, can’t believe you’re so fast for somebody my dad’s age (you are my dad’s age right, with all the mile measurements 🤭🫣)
