    I have had a major stroke and a heart attack in 2005. I didn’t know what was happening. I just remembered trying to get help for myself. I couldn’t talk and dragged myself to the office at work. Thank God my co- manager knew what to do. My pressure was Un readable. I code at the hospital and thank God there was a cardiologist making his rounds. He saved my life. I have some side effects from this. The doctor I was seeing because my cardiologist went back to Europe for retirement, he doesn’t feel like I am sick enough to be seen lately. I just go to the emergency room if I have any episodes. I have had blood clots several times that I know of by going to the emergency room. My question is should I find a new doctor ? I am 67 years old now. I feel like at a certain age they just don’t have time for you. My Life is precious to me.😢

      Learn all about your condition on You Tube. Eric berg, Dr. Ken Berry and this very informative video. Eat highly nutritious food in small amounts, walk daily in sunshine, drink enough water for you, call or visit friends.

    Interesting about the timing of the exercise.. I wish I had more time in my day with full time job and kids.. I make an effort to exercise 5 days a week whenever time permits :)

      Make excercise part of your day. Park as far away from work as possible, walk during breaks and lunch, use stairs instead of elevator, etc.
      It all adds up and can make a big difference coupled with a low carb diet and intermittent fasting.

      @mrsbootsworkouts - yes...this is the 2nd time in a week that this (unusual) exercise timing has been confirmed for me.
      The first was direct from the horses mouth...Dr. Satchin Panda who's lab @ Scripts Clinic for Biological Studies, conducts studies on eating & exercise and how it affects our circadian rhythm.
      I was thrilled to hear Dr. Panda drop this little gem on when to exercise in a recent health podcast interview I watched last week.
      That was the first I'd ever heard this...Seems that most all exercise physiologists advise for early a.m. exercise.
      I have felt so guilty for so long that I simply have never had the inclination to lift in the a.m. My prime time for lifting weights -when I feel most enthused for it - seems to be around 5p.m.😊
      I have no problem getting my zone 2 cardio in, in the a.m. - usually jog/run outdoors every morning.
      But....lifting? Nope, definitely a late afternoon activity for me- a.m. just seems wrong to me...not sure why.
      Well, now I feel that my body has been right about when I want to strength train all along😊- no need anymore to feel I'm doing it at the wrong time of the day.

    He's wrong about the skin's light sensors- we do have them - but they have nothing to do with the Circadian Rhythm... in the sense that the body realizes (via light on the skin's light sensors)...
    "Oh! What's going on, maybe it's still daylight out!' (As he has said). And, no this is definitely not true.
    The ONLY sensors that have that biological reaction to light are inside the skull, behind the hypothalamus, e.g.,
    The Suprachiasmatic Nucleus. The SCN directs the body's Circadian Rhythm by sensing light once it enters the skull thru the retinas.
    The skin's light sensors have nothing to do with the SCN or the circadian rhythm.
    Unfortunately, his error here about the function of the body's light sensors, has made me start to question some of the other 'facts' he sounds so sure of.

    The last time I woke up to daylight was at least 56 years ago. I worked in factories for 52 years and woke up at 2:15 am 6 days a week. I have been retired for 4 years and still wake up on my own someplace between 4:30 and 5:30am. There are MANY people that have jobs were they have to show up at set hours. YES I should have gotten a better education.

      Depending on where you are waking up with the daylight is a bad idea. Here in Norway even in the southern part it would mean getting up at night.. up north the sun does not set at all in summer. You NEED light proof curtains.

    So... My take home message was... Here in the UK, you can't get these tests, and I can't afford any private care, even if you could get an appointment !! My " Very Clean" Vegetarian diet is probably not helping my health either because of damage caused in my 20's & or insufficient protein ( Which Dr Zac Bush say's we get TO MUCH of anyway)!!! So, why bother trying to stay healthy !!!!🙈🙈🙈 Sooooooo depressing and causing my anxiety levels to rise, and I probably won't sleep tonight for worrying !!! I thought at 66 years old, I was doing well... But apparently, I'm probably not !!

      Based on the results, Dru's coronary arterias are pristine. The best results dr. Twyman's ever seen. Why would he change anything?

      Maybe his clear scans are BC of his Vegan and raw food Start in life-- these changes don't happen in a week. He can test again if he continues to eat the same and see if anything changes. If ApoB stays high, there will be changes and not in a good way.

    Yikes! Found another area where he mispeaks on bio-'facts'...
    First he indicated that sleep can be interrupted via the skin's light sensors. This is completely untrue.
    Now, I come to another segment on sleep where he said that a cold plunge or ice bath b/4 going to bed can help tp improve sleep.
    UNTRUE!
    Yes we do need a cool environment to sleep in, aka lowered bedroom temperature, bc the body needs to lower base temp by 1-2 degrees F, for optimal sleep.
    However, a cold plunge, or even a cold shower prior to bedtime lowers sleep quality, because in order to 'recover' from cold immersion, the body will react by increasing its core temperature.
    So, no, it's a definite scientific fact that a cold immersion of the body prior to sleep reduces sleep quality.
    Conversely, taking a warm/hot bath, OR enjoying a sauna before sleep, helps improve sleep quality because the body's temperature regulating system, reacts to heat exposure by cooling the body down, to below baseline temp (prior to the heat exposure.)
    So, when he said that biohackers using cold and heat exposure prior to sleep to improve their sleep quality - he was only half right (re the heat exposure).
    BUT because he lumped both heat and cold exposure together as a way to improve sleep quality...no this was a sloppy way to try to make a point. He ended up being blatantly wrong on the cold exposure aspect. 😮
    Idk...he's so spot on about most of his ideas on CV health, but, imo he can be a bit sloppy with the facts -
    It seems to me, that he tends to combine facts with myth without even realizing.
    Appears, to me, that he does this mainly when he starts to get 'chatty' on a particular subject....
    Not the mark of a true scientist...
    Although I have no reason to think he's not an excellent doctor. I do think alot of his ideas about getting our Circadian Rhythm dialed in FIRST, will serve us best for improving our CV health.

    What exactly is healing a damaging Endothelial cells, since it takes decades for plaque to reach clinical levels(70%)?

    How do we know that the lipoproteins aren't actually trying to heal arterial damage by dumping cholesterol there intentionally? Isn't cholesterol also used for repair? I'd love some clear answers on this if possible. Because calcium is also deposited later to try and harden the plaque and stabilize it, doesn't it stand to reason that the Ldl may actually be used to try and repair damage?

      ​​​@@bethmiller6827 butter's smoke point is around 300 degrees F. (not considered 'high' at all.)
      Avocado oil's s/p is a little over 500 F. (can vary with the source...some report it @ 420 degrees F.), but is considerably above that of butter.
      We want to cook with an oil that has a high smoke point. Reason being... ANY cooking oil that is heated past its smoke point, is automatically alchemized to a trans fat - clear and simple.
      So, your strategy to cook in butter, then add avocado oil may be a bit backwards--?🤷‍♂️
      In the case that you are sautéing with butter well below its smoking point - that would be fine, as long as you stay below 300 degrees F.

    He needs to study physiology. Chlosterol is beneficial and not detrimental to health. Its altered LDL from cleanup of damage from infections nad poor nutrition(sugar).

      He never implied - in any way...not even a hint - that cholesterol in and of itself is detrimental to health.
      Those are YOUR words, what YOU'VE inferred by what he's said here in this interview. And you inferred incorrectly.
