This is my favorite guest thus far. No shade on any others, but I’ll rewatch this episode several times. Thank you Docs 🙏🏻
I have now watched both 1 & 2 and I am blown away! I have learned so much from these 2 interviews. Dr. Twyman is exactly the kind of doctor I have been looking for, he gets it and nails it on all counts. Thanks Gabrielle!
Wonderful! So happy it was valuable for you!
I absolutely loved these two episodes! So much great information!
Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked the episode!
Thanks for the part 2, of your 1st interview ❤‼️‼️‼️
Fascinating! Thanks Dr. G. Please do a whole episode on red light therapy🙏 Is it the same as infrared sauna?
Truly enjoyed both episodes. Thanks!
Thank you for tuning in!
Great podcast. He explains so eloquently.
Thanks for listening
It’s high time for next part.
Great video and info like always! Also, when you're multitasking, "Doctor Mike Twyman" sound an awful lot like Doctor Mark Hyman 😅
Great follow-up to Episode 1. I use a near infra-red pad & have been doing so for years. Got to stop using that Listerine before bed! Is Listerine Zero any better?
Thank you for the feedback
Saunas are great for cardiovascular health
Unknown about the other mouthwash product. It depends on what happens to the nitrite reducing bacteria in the saliva
There are salivary nitrite test strips that change color depending on the levels of niitrites. White = low/depleted. Red = optimal
You can try the test strips to see if the mouthwash is effecting the levels of nitrite
This was a very informative presentation. Could you expand how much the circadian rhythm is influencing CV health? What is someone works only night shifts and maintains a relatively " night" routine even during the days off work? In addition, I suspect the majority of patients with CVD actually have a diurnal lifestyle.
This would be a great questions on Dr. Twyman's IG! Thank you for tuning in!
What is the roll of the microbiome in the control of cardiovascular risks , I think it all starts there and it deserves a deeper deeper dive into it
LPS
Akkermamcia
Bifido
Fiber intake
Toxins
Glyphosate
Heavy metal
Organic acid test
GI mao
Effect of caffeine on cortisol
And more
Adrenal stress profile
Multiple autoimmune reactivity test
Unfiltered coffee
Plastics wrappers
The microbiome definitely plays a role in having a healthy cardiovascular system. We just didn't have time to hit all the 300-400 factors that effect heart health. Circadian biology is the foundation even for the gut flora as they need to know what time of day it is and they get signals from the time food comes into the gut and the wavelengths of light that penetrate the abdomen into the gut
Is it detrimental to consume protein after a workout if the sun is not up ?
no
The doctor mentioned benefit of aspirin for certain people…yet I read a lot of articles that this is no longer recommended and that it’s an outdated philosophy. So now I don’t know what to think since you all are more ‘cutting edge’.
Dr Lyon what’s your opinion on earthing?
I like it!
@@DrGabrielleLyon pls make a video for grounding and sunlight 🌞🙏🦶
I can't believe this series didn't even mention diet. You simply can't ignore the great successes of doctors like Dr. Ornish, Dr. Esselstynson, and others. Not that I adhere to their diets but I surely wanted to see someone like your guest give other options other than a vegan diet to prevent heart disease..This segment was extremely disappointing .
@rebella5769
he recommends VEGAN?😲😳🤯😫
Well...maybe that's your answer - best not to go there on a Dr. Lyon podcast!
👏👏👏🇧🇷
I can't believe this series didn't address diet at all. You simply can't ignore the success that Doctors such as Dr. Ornish, Esselstyn and many others who advocate a Vegan Diet for the prevention of heart disease. Not that I adhere to these diets but I surely would have liked to see your guest offer another option other than veganism. I was extremely disappointed.
Hi Rebella, we did discuss the importance of consuming enough high quality protein. There is a lot of information to cover regarding heart health and I plan to have Dr. Twyman on more episodes to further dive in! I hope you found some other valuable tips to improve your health beyond diet alone!
Yes, any proponent of what they claim is health promoting diet should say what they think about the diets promoted by Ornish, Esselstyn, Fuhrman, Barnard, etc.
