The fact you readily recommended other channels as trustable sources of education shows integrity and a desire to help the watcher in any way possible. Instant sub 🙏
I second this. A good chunk of youtube is thumbnails and clickbait titles and been able to have recommendations by someone you trust for other parts of Davinci helps save a ton of time and fustration sifting through all the "luts" and "quick hack" videos.
For the life of me, I cannot understand how this 20 minute introduction to DaVinci doesn't have at least one like for every view! Darren, this is the best intro to anything i've ever seen. Bravo!
Im new to editing. Haven't used any software. I'm looking for that 2 hr. Media page tutorial. Then the 5 hr. CUT page with SPEED EDITOR covering every possible detail. Then a 10 hr. Tutorial bringing the 3 together to tell a story before moving on to the fine tuning pages. So many videos jump page to page and show what DR 18 can do, but don't cover the why you do it this way and then the how. Maybe YT doesn't pay enough. Create a subscription offer. Part 1 through 50 in 1 hr. tutorials. I've watched many DR 17 and spent more time trying to decipher the process because the layout is different. So DR 18.5 would be ideal. Yes, I've watched the Blackmagic DR 17 tutorials and can not keep up. Spent more time rewinding. If anyone can point me in the right direction to a full tutorial. Really appreciate it
I stopped at this channel purely because the presenter speaks British English, not American English. Then I found that he is knowledgeable and thorough as well, so I subscribed. 🙂
After having UA-cam suggest this video to me and then watching it start to finish, I am moving over to DaVinci Resolve from Premiere Pro. Very helpful and insightful video. Many thanks.

I worked in the television industry since 1993 and have worked on several non-linear editing systems including the IMIX Video Cube, Media 100, Premier, FInal Cut Pro and several others. I retired several years back and didn't think I would ever want to edit again but I've gotten the itch to do some stuff for myself lately. On a recommendation of a friend, I downloaded DaVinci and then found your channel. Thanks for helping me get started. Great job.

Perfect, I have been using DR for 2 years and this is the first time someone has clearly explained how it is set up. I kind of worked out to hide media and cut pages after several tutorials. I just use edit. I didn't know about libraries though. The one thing I dont like about iMovie is the whole library gets appended so it grows huge and you cannot just delete a few projects without screwing the file up.

By happy coincidence, this was the FIRST Davinci Resolve video that I watched on UA-cam. That was about 4 months ago. Since that time, I have watched a lot of video from you and from the others whom you recommend at the end of this video.
