Do you know how to crop a video? like ik that it is the square to the left but it wont actually let me lock in the crop , or at least I can't figure out how to.
I developed the interest to learn the DR and after watching many tutorials on YT . This is the tutorial that I've kept on my "watch later videos" I'm going to dedicate 24,21 mins almost everyday for at least 2 weeks just to watch it only while i familiarise myself with the screen then another two weeks for learning to edit. I'm pressed with time but I'll understand it. Thanks for the Video , watching from South Africa 🇿🇦
I went from beginning nervousness to confident assurance in 24 minutes. I do believe this is one of the most through, concise and informative tutorials I've ever watched. Thank you greatly for your time and effort!
I'm doing my first editing job in Resolve and was feeling totally overwhelmed. This gave me the tools to start with confidence. One of the best tutorials I've ever watched. These are the kinds of people you need to subscribe to, folks. Thank you!!!
Just been using Davinci Resolve for a few weeks and watched tons of videos, but this one blew them all away. Great presentation! Thanks for all you do, man.
truly speaking, this is the clearest explanation of Davinci Resolve I have ever seen. I thoiught Davinci Resolve was a paid program with a trial period. I had no Idea that it is a full featured video editor/creating application tha is free. I have learned so much from your training. I am subscribing to you channel. Your teaching syle is fine with me because you teach and explain these well which is important. Thanks so much. Blessings!
Rarely comment but that was fantastic. Have watched a lot of Resolve tutorials and got overwhelmed. Having watched this, I feel confident to start playing around with it. Thank you.
ohhh this guy Atleast i found someone who can teach me like a friend actully i am programmer but i wanna learn video editing this men teach so friendly
Clear, great style in putting it over - too many guys have verbal diarrhoea, and think telling faster is the way to get more words it. Look forward to seeing other courses. Been using Movie Studio for around a decade, and now it's time to dip my toes into Davinci.
I've tried 2 or 3 other instructors for Davinci Resolve and, nothin'! I actually learned the basics of an edit in less than 30 mins. with you. That's awesome! Great flow, easy to understand and you made sure I could follow what you were saying to do next. Well done, Sir. Bravo 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 You got a new subbie.
Thank you so much! I have had such a hard time with Davinci. I've looked at many other YT videos that didn't just give the basic crash course. This is great!!
wow, this was very simple and easy to understand. the way you explained everything was extremely understandable and perfect pace for following along. thank you for this great starter guide :D
Not using Davinci Resolve but for a few weeks. Watched tutorials and videos but this is what I needed to feel more confident to get this video finished! Glad you skipped advanced features for now...
Came and watched this video after cancelling my adobe premiere pro plan, so far I'm very impressed with DaVinci Resolve and the features has most of what I need for editing.
This tutorial video explained things better than the one posted on the Davinci Resolve website. I watched the 40ish minute video and felt completely lost.
I used Adobe Premiere for many years and then I moved over to an iMac and Final Cut. I've watched your video, excellent and I managed to follow 90% due to your clarity, and it really reminds me of Final Cut in its operations. It looks very flexible the way you can move things around. This fills me full of hope, as before I watched this I was getting a bit anxious about going to a new video editor. Thanks,
I have yet to film my first video and I’ve heard about davinci resolve, but I gotta tell you this video was EXCELLENT! I actually think I could edit a video now.
thanks a lot man , have to submit my project for an internship related to video editing. I have just a day and don't know anything about video editing, hope I get that internship.
Thank you for this fantastic beginner tutorial! The explanations were clear and easy to follow, making DaVinci Resolve much less intimidating. I appreciate the effort you put into creating such valuable content. Looking forward to more tutorials!
Excellent tutorial. Very straightforward and logical approach. I have never done video editing of any sort prior to today but have felt the need to learn something new and this video's step-by-step, well thought out approach presents an excellent starting point. Many thanks.
A very good tutorial for those who are starting video editing but can be waste of time for those who are expert in premiere pro. If you are someone who likes to take things simple even when switching to new software you should watch this video. It made transition from premiere look very easy. Really nice video.
Thanks for the tutorial. I post videos here on youtube of me playing guitar and teaching a bit, but I have been doing all one take iphone videos with no editing, which is tedious. I have no experience with video editing so that was a nice digestible introduction for a beginner. Thanks!
Thanks a million for this. You make a strong case for me to switch to DaVinci. I have a lifetime license for Camtasia 2021, but I'm frustrated with a known issue with it. I downloaded CapCut to try it and tried VSDC because my computer is old, but DaVinci looks so easy based on your tutorial.
ok...i LOVE your teaching style. I am so excited to start editing now that you have made such a great, concise tutorial for me to start. Thanks for keeping it basic to start. You are an excellent teacher, and I can't wait to watch your other videos. Also, going to subscribe to Envato. Thanks again!
Awesome presentation! Clear, to the point and at a rapid pace that can be followed! Nice work! I got very interested in trying out this great tool that is unbelievably free as opposed to the Adobe programs.
Excellent starter tutorial! I actually have been an Adobe Premiere user ever since the first version for Windows98 (yeah I'm, that old - actually a lot older). 🙂 The last Premiere edition I bought was CS4 back in 2008 and its no longer viable. I don't get paid for my videos -they are almost all for non-profits and personal use, so no way was I going to spring for the ridiculous cost of Premiere these days. I had never heard of DaVinci until recently, so I am absolutely thrilled with what I see so far! You have a great teaching style and I will be looking for more advanced tutorials from you. Thanks!
Thank you SO much for this great, concise video. It was just what I needed to begin using this software. You speak with just the right speed and have highlighted all the points I was looking for. Great tutorial ❤
Great video and loved the way you taught through every step. I just started using Davinci resolve and now i am facing a problem of not being able to import audio files, can you help me with this
Excellent video tutorial! I'm new to Davinci and have a few questions. 1. Is there a way to increase the size of the audio meter on the right side of the edit page without switching to the fair light page? It is very small. If I set the GUI to 200% what would that change? 2. How do you reset the timeline timecode to zero vs the default 1 hour readout? 3. The single preview mode I prefer to use seems to cut a little headroom off the talking head. I think it's set to fit or 100% 4. Other than the mono option on the timeline, is there another way to copy right to left or left to right audio channels on a clip that has one channel only? 5. Do you have a multi-cam tutorial video? 6. Is there a .mov export codec option in export in the free version and what is the max kbps bit rate we can type in other than 80,000? 7. There needs to be a separate node for each color correction adjustment like gamma, highlights, contrast etc. a node for each vs. all in one adjustment. Is this correct? 8. There are some pretty nice 3D premade fusion titles that are thick and have cool animations. I'll learn to create one from scratch sometime if you have a tutorial video on 3d Titles. 9. How do I get the singe preview window mode to max out in size where it is very wide? Im using a high end pro laptop with 4K 3840 X 2160 screen resolution. I also always film and edit in UHD. 10. Are the built-in sound FX and music library copyright free and can they be used commercially beyond UA-cam? I appreciate any info on the above questions.
I wasted 30 minutes with a tutorial in French, the guy was not understandable and brought too complicated techniques. Luckily I found your tutorial where I found exactly what I wanted to achieve! Merci beaucoup
Watch this and you can make movies. Home video or something more serious. Sorry if that was an abrupt opening, I just wanted anyone glancing through the comments to know this. I am ready and able to make something better from all those thousands of clips scattered all over my hard drive. For that reason the MASSIVE thank you comes late in the comments, but believe me, it's genuine! I'm off now to see if you have anything on adding and using keywords (10's of thousands of clips!). You really have got me out of the mud and ready to go. Thank you👍👍👍
Great video, thanks for sharing. Very clear and easy to understand. Let's see how it goes for me. Probably checking out more videos from u on that topic. Keep up the good work. Cheers
I only watched this one video from you but it made a whole lot of sense, exactly the information I wanted as a beginner, so I heat subscribe button right away ❤
This is really good. Well done. Got a question, do I have to colour grade each footage on my timeline or I can apply to all the footage on the timeline especially if they used the same lighting and clothing?

You edited this video in DaVinci Resolve I presume?
Dude, you just taught me in less than 25 minutes what a video production class would have taken an entire semester to teach!
This was the most easy-to-understand tutorial I have ever come across. Thank you for making DaVinci Resolve not so scary!
Why aren't all tutorials as informative and intelligently structured as this one? Thank you. I'm now subscribed.
I went from beginning nervousness to confident assurance in 24 minutes. I do believe this is one of the most through, concise and informative tutorials I've ever watched. Thank you greatly for your time and effort!
Brother, the way you explained every point is 1,000 times better than other creators. Love from Neptune🙂🙂🙂🙂👀👀
I'm doing my first editing job in Resolve and was feeling totally overwhelmed. This gave me the tools to start with confidence. One of the best tutorials I've ever watched. These are the kinds of people you need to subscribe to, folks. Thank you!!!
Thanks very much
Great , clear, concise. The most productive 24 minutes you will spend on UA-cam
Just been using Davinci Resolve for a few weeks and watched tons of videos, but this one blew them all away. Great presentation! Thanks for all you do, man.
Can you give me advice on how yo fix that audio goes before the actual picture ? And at one point ih has a big gap between audio and video .
I've watched so many overly complicated tutorials but this one is clear, concise, to the point and so easy to understand. Thank you so much!
Man, this video is LIFESAVER. I can't believe editing could be so simple...
Wow. This just changed my world! THANK YOU!!!! I have to create training videos for work and your tutorial gave me my life back.

Barely halfway through the video and this has been WILDLY helpful!! Thank you so much!
Dang, I just finished and this was definitely the most simple, straightforward tutorial for DaVinci I found! THANK YOU!!!!!
Well done. I learned more in the first five minutes than with 20 minutes of BlackMagic's "beginner" module.
Clear, great style in putting it over - too many guys have verbal diarrhoea, and think telling faster is the way to get more words it. Look forward to seeing other courses. Been using Movie Studio for around a decade, and now it's time to dip my toes into Davinci.
out of all the tutorials i scanned, this is the best. I even put a post up on reddit about editors and referenced your video
You simplified what seemed so complicated. Thank you so much!
Thank you! I was almost overwhelmed after downloading DaVinci trying to figure it out how to use it myself. You're tutorial was excellent. Subscribed!
You are amazing. Your way of explaining is excellent, clear, to the point and without unnecessary delays. What a pleasure. Well done and thank you.

A very beautiful presentation. You have tamed the tiger
Not only that you explain well but I could see clearly unlike most of these tutorials
Thank you so much! I have had such a hard time with Davinci. I've looked at many other YT videos that didn't just give the basic crash course. This is great!!
A Teacher/Presenter I would vote. Earned a sub
