I don't know what has to happen for you to call yourself a "Hawkeye Fanatic" but I feel like I am one. Since the BEGINNING I have loved this dude! My goodness this show has been awesome so far! Love you all!

I genuinely enjoyed it, I get the complaints with Kingpin compared to his Daredevil appearances but it was still a fun show
The scene where Kate helps Hawkeye "talk" to Nathaniel gets me every time. We HAVE to get this man home for Christmas! (sending positive vibes to Jeremy Renner)
Honestly Hawkeye deserves so much more love. The MCU version is so great and grounded. Hes a real person with just amazing skills and a lot of depth and character

Given the plotline with Barton in this show, and just how much he means to people, just makes this Renner accident hit harder. Hoping him the absolute best possible recovery.

On a positive note, if he were to come out of this with any scars or mobility issues, it wouldn't exclude him from continuing the role if he wanted too. (Not that that's what matters, obviously. I hope he makes a full recovery.) The character's not at a point in his story where he'd have to be working out and doing stunts etc., it would be perfectly organic for Clint to have been in an accident and be dealing with that along with his hearing loss, so it would be entirely up to him if he wanted to come back or not.
@@hiccuphufflepuff176 - For sure. I think the core original six Avengers have been working towards retiring the characters either way (they're half way there with 3/6). I just wish him to be well; I've been expecting at the very least a lastiung limp. But either way, it is true that they can work it into his character, and certainly write him out if it's demanded. Considering he seems to be on the positive side of (tragic) recovering, I imagine we will see him at least one more time as Barton. Hopefully more than once, cause it seemed they had more story planned with him and his wife.
The scene where Kate is writing the messages for Clint made me cry so hard the first time i watched it
I really liked that they brought Clints partial deafness from the comics in, it really helped him hone in to his other senses. I also loved that they brought in not only a fully deaf character but a native american in Echo and made her one of the most sympathetic "villains" to come along

I'm more of a Green Arrow fan because I grew up with DC that's what I prefer, but I love Hawkeye too and I'm excited for more Hawkeye and Kate in future MCU stuff, I love me a good Archery Vigilante/superhero/whatever you want to call them

I think Hawkeye's expression while walking through the LARPers is only rivaled in hilarity by Jim Hoppers expression during the Never Ending Story sing along

From what I heard in regards to the Jeremy Renner situation is that a family member of his got stuck in a ditch not too far from his home so he took his snowplow out that way to get his family member out and at one point when Jeremy was not on the snowplow it started rolling down one of the sides of the ditch and when Jeremy went to hop it to apply the brakes he was pulled under and run over. No drugs or alcohol was found in his system when he got to the hospital, it's just an incredibly unfortunate accident. Hope he recovers well and fast.
Hawkeye is our eyeline to The Avengers. He's a dude with a stick and a string fighting aliens alongside superpowered beings. That concept is well explored in this series.

The idea for Rogers: The Musical started out as a joke, but they made enough for one number. Maybe someday they'll do a full-length musical, but the public has to want it badly enough to make it happen.
The dog, Lucky, is portrayed by Jolt. And her left eye isn't actually closed. They used special effects to make her look like Lucky in the comics.
Furthermore, the pizza that Kate fed Lucky was made out of dog-friendly ingredients since dogs can't consume normal pizza.

And lastly, Maya Lopez is one of the MCU’s first deaf characters. This is Alaqua Cox’s first acting role ever. She’s also a real-life amputee. They integrated that into her character. Her real life cousin portrayed Maya as a kid.
Pretty sure the speedster in Eternals is also deaf?

Those two actors are so good together. The energy between them is so believable so fitting. I went to a LARP thing once in the woods and we were all camping and they were all going to stay in character the whole weekend, OMG I stayed about maybe 2 hours and I was only watching. Ive never seen so many crazy people in my whole life! That was just THIS group im sure the rest of LARPers are lovely people(dont want nobody all mad at me now). I think I love just about everything Marvel puts out, and seeing your excitement makes me smile Alex!
Hawkeye is such an underrated character. And well, this show helped bring justice to Hawkeye. But I still think a lot of people underrate him.
It's been fun watching you just sit back and enjoy the MCU ride. There is so much criticism flooding social media that it often sucks the fun out of the room. Sure, it isn't Oscar/Emmy-level filmmaking, but it's still quite amazing how the team was able to create this interconnected world and bring it to the big screen.
1. It's been a blast watching you react to all the awesome that is Marvel.
2. In the comics Jacques Duquesne was the mentor of Hawkeye, and was also a famous criminal named the Swordsman.
3. Trick arrows are like one of Hawkeye's chief tools! It was amazing getting to see so many of them get used in the show!
I honestly love these street level superhero movies and shows because you can relate a bit more. Plus, they all tend to not have to crazy of powers but yet fight things way above their pay grade

I absolutely LOVED this show and I agree - Hawkeye is one of the most criminally underutilized characters in the MCU and it's so great to see more of him, particularly with his family. Ever since they were introduced in Age of Ultron I've wanted to see more of them.
I feel like this show is all about consequences - Clint dealing with his Ronin karma, the hearing aid, the showing of cuts, bumps, and bruises (and more stuff coming in 4-6). I love the overlapping stories and complexity of tying the deaf villain (Echo) into Ronin's past - it gives her an understandable motivation and blurs the lines between good and bad; sometimes good people do bad things and bad people do good things.
Kate is awesome, I love how she's cocky yet still naive in a lot of ways while Clint has a Myagi role, it really suits him and Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld are great together, and there's so much going on and so many mysteries to solve.
You mentioned you'd be a terrible fencer - fencing and archery are really fun - I did both a bit when I was younger and was never really good at them but had a lot of fun. You'd enjoy yourself even if you weren't good at it, they are worth trying at least once before you get too old just to say you did it (that's true of most things)

Hey Alex. I love Hawkeye as well. In the comics he is actually a superhero. He has a super power called unerring aim. It's not a very flashy super power but it means he hits anything he sees. Even if he doesn't see it anymore. Also... the deaf actress is actually deaf and an amputy. It's kinda how she got the role.
This has become a festive favourite of mine love this show and Jeremy renner sending healing vibes his way ❤️

I loved this series! A sort of action-comedy set around Christmas? Gave me Die Hard vibes all the way! Plus Kate Bishop is an AMAZING new character to the MCU and I can't wait to see more of her.

In my top 3 MCU shows. This show is such a good time and especially towards the end has some fantastic characters that really make this show great. Renner and Steinfeld are a perfect pair together. She was really born to play Kate Bishop

The best thing about Hawkeye is that he knows he's Hawkeye. There's spaceships and giant monsters and lighting gods everywhere, and he's the regular guy who's been officially done with this shit since Ultron, but these damn kids keep needing their lucky archer to come shoot more stupid arrows at the goddamn wizard dragons or they'll all get Thanosed again for some reason. (puts icepack on head)
This series is pretty underrated. Not the greatest, but pretty fun nontheless.
Actually I would say it’s among the greatest MCU shows.
By far my favorite spin off series after Endgame. This is the best one

I did LARP when I was younger. Right when the RPG for Vampire: The Masquerade released their larp game, me and a few friends started a group in our city.... that was literally decades ago, and some version of the group is still going from what I hear.

the ball pit scene made me think of the episode of The Big Bang Theory where Sheldon keeps popping up saying "Bazinga' and Leonard keeps trying to catch him, lol.
People who didn't watched and discussed Infinity War back when it released probably don't know that 'Thanos was right' written in the bathroom is as reference to a rather large belief back then that Thanos was justified and the true hero, using that exact phrase. Putting that on the show was actually a really smart play, it connects with people who participated in these discussions at same time it add depth to the world and characters

Hawkeye is my favourite MCU show. It treats both the OG Hawkeye with respect and sets up a loveable new character to replace him, who is shown multiple times as inexperienced and out of her depth. I mean, Hawkeye was an agent of SHIELD/Avenger for decades by now.
Would really like to see Kate Bishops character development continue in season 2 even if Renner decides to retire.
And, of course, I hope the latter recovers well.

Clint, before adopting the persona of Ronin, was a top agent for SHIELD and carried out assassinations on behalf of the government. He has stated that he is not a role model due to his past actions. However, by joining the Avengers, he has been given an opportunity to improve himself and move away from his past life, similar to Natasha's own journey.

That’s the whole point though.. in a world where there is a tony stark and a Steve rodgers and literal super powered beings, here’s Clint Barton a complete human holding his own against aliens and robots with a bow and arrow. One of the things i loved about Clint is that he respect Kate fears, he don't put down her fears like saying deal with it, he is a soldier but he not expect that from her, same with Wanda in Ultron

Alex i really hope you like this. You seem to have a good sense of character in the things you watch so, I think you will. Hawkeye has been a top 5 comic book hero of mine since I started collecting back in the early 80's. This show does him justice. My 2nd favourite MCU show, after MK of course.

Hey Alex I gotta say I love watching your reactions, they always brighten my day. On a more serious note, I’ve thought about this a lot watching your channel, but I can relate to you in the sense that I too know what it’s like to grow up without a father. The only reason that I say anything of the sort is that I now have a soft spot for any films about people who lose their parents and it made me smile seeing a similar comment from you talking about how real it hits when kids lose their parents in movies. It really makes me connect with the character. Along those lines I really recommend Disney’s Treasure Planet if you’ve never seen it.
On a different note, I’ve taken two semesters of ASL and in that time I learned many of the basic signs and most of the grammatical rules (not that I can remember them all) but even with all that there are easily hundreds of signs I don’t know,, if not thousands.
