Yeah, most of today's musicians and singers sound like the kid with the plastic trumpet after Santa Claus visited the tree... Untalented people making millions with simplistic songs (they don't know what an album is) and destroying our brain cells. This music is handmade silk velvet compared to the mass-produced prefabricated songs of today.
The ENTIRE Rumors album is a masterpiece. You can’t go wrong with a pick from it. And let’s be honest not only could Stevie Nick sing like an angel but she was as beautiful as one too!
I've said in other replies to reactors that I bought Rumors for Go Your Own Way and listened to the whole album when I got it and then couldn't really pick a favorite because it's just so damn good and still is today.
Just saw a Rolling Stone poll asking readers their top 10 Fleetwood Mac tracks. The Chain was #1. Go Your Own Way was #2 (and I concur). Dreams was I think #5. I Dont Want to Know is up there for me, but can't recall if it's on the RS list...
Rumors is an excellent album. Not a bad song on it. Stevie is 76 now unbelievably and still tours. They sound as good live as you just heard. You should check out Rhiannon live from The Midnight Special. Stevie’s performance was crazy good!
Stevie Nicks has smoky beautiful voice. Rhiannon, Gypsy, The Chain, Sara, Hold On, Little Lies, Tusk are all wonderful Fleetwood Mac song. Stevie Nick solo career was great as well.
39 year old here. Grew up on 90's hip-hop and 2000+ nu-metal. But this song right here...shit, easily one of my top 5 favourite songs of my existence. Stevie's Goddess voice and the passion she in which she delivers those life experiences through lyrics. Combined with the melodic bass, drum and guitars makes for the most one of a kind masterpiece
I saw Stevie by accident. I scored Tom Petty tickets for 3rd row front center seats. The concert was already amazing then she just popped in to sing a few songs with him. Her voice! Even though I had listened to Fleetwood Mac for years, I was still surprised by the power. One of my favorite concerts ever, around 2003. RIP Tom Petty.
The studio track has Stevie blending her gorgeous textures into the backing vocal line in all the right ways.... pure, pure heaven (and I'm not even a Fleetwood Mac fan)
1977, my college dorm on a Friday afternoon, every room with a turntable had their vinyl out, most with friends down the hall and snuck in beers.... the musical potpourii filled the floors, usually in preparation for heading to the college bars in town (18 was the drinking age in MN) - why is it still the music I'm drawn to? Because it is SO DAMN GOOD! - Fleetwood Mac, Boston, Hall and Oats, Peter Frampton, CCR, Foreigner, Kansas, Head East, Electric Light Orchestra, Eagles, Pablo Cruise, Steve Miller Band, Commodores, James Taylor, CSN, Heart, ABBA, Elton John, Aerosmith, Queen, Supertramp, Boz Scaggs, Bee Gees, Bread, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band, Pure Prarie League, The Floaters, KC and the Sunshine Band, Bay City Rollers... Music that has stood the test of time. I appreciate you "kids" enjoying it. Thank you.
The ultimate irony is that Fleetwood Mac wanted Lindsey Buckingham as a guitarist in their band. He insisted on bringing his girlfriend along … the rest is history and beautiful, unforgettable music. Christine Perfect and John McVie plus Mick Fleetwood should not be underestimated or ignored. Listen to Christine’s magnificent harmonies here. John and Mick lay down the foundation for this masterpiece. All five band mates were necessary to make this fabulous music.
Rolling Stone magazine ranked the "Rumors" album by Fleetwood Mac (which includes the song "Dreams") #7 on its list of the "500 Greatest Albums of All Time" in 2020.
Stevie was born in 1948 and still tours! Her achievements include over 40 Top 50 hits, over 140 million albums sold, and honor as a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee. I was lucky enough to see Fleetwood Mac once many decades ago.
"Gold Dust Woman" a track off the international smash hit album 'Rumours' released back in 1977 by 'Fleetwood Mac' is worth checking out along with "The Chain" as well. 🔍🎤🎸🎹🥁🔊🔥📻🎧☮
The Ocean Spray drinking, longboarding guy listening to Dreams made me so blissfully happy during the pandemic & I don't know why. I can't even put my feeling of zen watching that guy skateboarding into words.
I recall back in 1977 two great songs released in February and March. Fleetwood Mac, "Dreams" and The Eagles second single,"Hotel California."Take your pick!
The guy who made that viral video is Nathan Apodaca. He made the video after his truck broke down on his way to work, so he got out and hopped on his skateboard, listening to music and drinking Ocean Spray cranberry juice on his way to work. After the video went viral, Ocean Spray loved it so much, they gifted him with a new truck with bottles of cranberry juice in the back. Apodaca, who has Native American ancestry, was later cast in the FX series Reservation Dogs as Uncle Charley. "Dreams" was written for Fleetwood Mac's hugely popular album Rumours, which was written and recorded when nearly all the band members were going through breakups, divorces, using substances or trying to get clean. Mac's husband and wife bass player and keyboardist team John and Christine McVie were going through a bad divorce. Stevie Nicks had left her longtime partner and Mac's guitarist Lindsay Buckingham for an affair with Mac's founder, drummer Mick Fleetwood who was married to another woman at the time. There were a lot of tangled situations going on, a lot of resentment, animosity, broken hearts, etc, but Fleetwood Mac came together and turned it into beautiful music.
Lol this song is about her Bf. That is singing and playing guitar beside her. She also dated the drummer. Tom Petty's song Don't Come Around No More, also deals with here and 2 guitar players in others bands, The Eagles and The Eurythmics
My very first concert experience at 15 in 1977 was Fleetwood Mac Rumors tour. What an experience. Have loved them and their individual works as well ever since. An early album well worth a listen is "Buckingham Nicks", before they joined the band. Good stuff.
It's the combination of Lindsay and Stevie's magic giving you goosebumps. The best rock couple ever. I have their album before they joined FM. It's great.
You can't get any more classic rock than Fleetwood Mac. You should check out another awesome live performance "Rhiannon" 1976 of the Midnight Special show She will blow you away with this performance!
You done Fleetwood Mac showcasing Lindsay Buckingham and Stevie Nicks, but please do one showcasing Christine McVie, too! Stevie is a Goddess, but Christine was a big part of this whole sound. Try Sweet Little Lies, You Make Lovin' Fun and Everywhere.
The "Rumors Tour" was my favorite Fleetwood Mac tour. They were going through some messy personal stuff but the concert was fantastic. Thanks for the memories. ✌
I grew up with Led Zeppelin and Fleetwood Mac. My 2 favorite bands to this day. I played all of of Zeppelin's albums, and Fleetwood Mac's Rumors album over and over and over and over every day and never got sick of the songs... and I never will. I bet you hear that from a lot of people from my generation! ❤
There's a handful of albums that are simply perfect. Not a sound or lyric out of place. There's Blue, Hunky Dory & Ommadawn, of course. But I remember hearing this album the week it came out & not only did I fall head over heels with Stevie Nicks, her voice, vibe & pupils like saucers, but I also realised Rumours falls right into my collection of perfect albums. 03:20 There, that's the Stevie Nicks I fell for. Projecting that ethereal, cocaine drenched, oh so erotic beauty while singing like an angel personified. Sometimes wings are made from leather, lace & concealed gracefully beneath a crocheted shawl... To this day that vibe will stop me in my tracks!
The is really the only song that brings me back to the summer of 77 or any summer, when I hear it I’m transported back to 15 wild and free,of waking up in my girls friends living room with the rays of morning sun shining through the window and not a care in the world, other then did her parents hear me slept into her room during the night lol
A couple of songs by Fleetwood Mac from the era before Lindsey and Stevie joined are Hypnotized with Bob Welch (also from his solo career are Ebony Eyes and Hot Love, Cold World) are Sentimental Lady from 1972 and Hypnotized from 1973, and Oh Well Parts 1 & 2 together with Peter Green on vocals from 1969.
TOP FORM FLEETWOOD MAC. AS PER ALWAYS. NEVER BEFORE SAW/HEARD THIS LIVE PERFORMANCE. EXTRAORDINARY. I HAD TO SHAKE OFF MY CHILLS THERE FOR A MINUTE. MY YOUNG ADULTHOOD. BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES. THAT IS WHAT REAL MUSIC DOES.
You need to check out Larkin Poe “Mad as a Hatter” recorded live at The Convent Club. …and then you have to check out anything else they’ve done in the decade since.
Just because of “snow” They pulled it off…….. for years……. I think it would difficult to continually be that productive as long as they were (although snow skiing was known) but they deserved props for duration
Fleetwood Mac...sooooo good. And yeah, that viral vid was crazy! That vid was during the pandemic and it was exactly what the world needed, just a dude vibing through life. Doggface I think is his name.
This video is pretty early Fleetwood Mac with Stevie and Lindsey. Certainly after the Rumours album ( 1977 ) since that is the record with this song, but Lindsey's white suit and white Les Paul guitar are the tip offs.
Previous to Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks joining up with Fleetwood Mac, they were known as Buckingham Nicks, and made an album together. It's pretty good.

Singing about her ex who is playing guitar next to her.
☠️☠️☠️
And her ex also wrote Go Your Own Way and sang it next to her.
There's no possibility of that situation not being awkward and annoying
@@NicolasLong-k8ymaybe being high as a kite and knowing the tune will bring you both millions of dollars.
@MrDshack definitely did
No autotune. No sampling. No looped tracks. Talent. Pure unadulterated talent everywhere on the stage.

I was only a young boy in the 70’s, but as a 52 year old dude, I’ve probably listened to this track HUNDREDS of times. Freaking golden!
Simply the best
couldn’t have said it better my self just pure talent
The ENTIRE Rumors album is a masterpiece. You can’t go wrong with a pick from it. And let’s be honest not only could Stevie Nick sing like an angel but she was as beautiful as one too!

"Nicks" Come on, now.
Stevie can still sing like an angel and still looks like one too. Boomer here
Yes it is.
The Chain. That is THE Fleetwood Mac track. That's a must-do.
Yes, please review The Chain.
Fo shizzle!
Definitely ☝️

‘Rumours’ will remain a top 10 album for eternity imo 🙏🏼
Lindsey Buckingham is an underrated guitar player
Overrated comment
Underrated To who? Ratings are useless
Master!
By whom??????
Stevie is a goddess. That’s all. ❤❤❤
Stevie replaced Farrah Fawcett on my wall in 1977.
Agreed!
Rumors is an excellent album. Not a bad song on it. Stevie is 76 now unbelievably and still tours. They sound as good live as you just heard. You should check out Rhiannon live from The Midnight Special. Stevie’s performance was crazy good!
Yes, the solo is just as amazing as Stevie
You need to see her perform the song RHIANNON on the Midnight Special 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 That ending is completely captivating. SHE'LL GET YOU!!!
going to watch now!
Rhiannon was haunting.
Stevie Nicks is one of my all-time favorite voices. This is one of those visceral songs. You feel everything deeply. This is true music.
Stevie Nicks has smoky beautiful voice. Rhiannon, Gypsy, The Chain, Sara, Hold On, Little Lies, Tusk are all wonderful Fleetwood Mac song. Stevie Nick solo career was great as well.

You should know that the studio version of this song from their Rumours album is superior. Stevie Nicks on vocals. ❄️
Agree
This. Mainly because I can't hear the bass on this one
I saw Stevie by accident. I scored Tom Petty tickets for 3rd row front center seats. The concert was already amazing then she just popped in to sing a few songs with him. Her voice! @@lindajane8962 Yes, very good memories 😉
1:42 love Stevie ...she is so iconic for us young women growing up in the 70s ... Strong woman vibes
Stevie's voice is iconic! She is a Rock Goddess! Fleetwood Mac and her solo work are all worth a listen!

This is peak FM. It’s very melancholic.
Studio Ver. is better IMO. Thanks for doing what you do...from a 64 year-old.
100% agree on that front.
I think all studio versions are better than the lives. Humble opinion of someone who's attended over 100 live band performances.
Stevie Nicks defenetly wrote some of the best Fleetwood Mac Songs
RIP Christine.
I'd give the studio version a listen.
This track was one the radio constantly for several decades after it came out. Stevie is an angel.
Stevie ❤
Youve got to check out the studio version. Its magical. The production is amazing. One of the smoothest songs ever recorded.
"The Chain" ✌🏽
"Big Love", (live version) shows off guitarist Lindsey Buckingham's underrated talent so well.
The Ocean Spray drinking, longboarding guy listening to Dreams made me so blissfully happy during the pandemic & I don't know why. I can't even put my feeling of zen watching that guy skateboarding into words.
How about "Stop Draggin My Heart Around" by Stevie Nix and Tom Petty?
Excellent suggestion 👍
One of the best albums ever…every song is a banger❤
You hear the emotion in the performance for a reason -- the song is about them, the entire Rumors album is notoriously autobiographical.
I recall back in 1977 two great songs released in February and March.
Fleetwood Mac, "Dreams" and The Eagles second single,"Hotel California."Take your pick!

He’s Uncle Charle? Pretty good performance for not being an actor. Thanks for the intel report. 👍
If you haven't checked out "Sara" Live 1979 at the end she does a haunting note. She raises the mic super high to achieve it. Fabulous
Lindsey is a musical genius
What a perfect voice for a Rock Band.
Never seen Stevie locked in one place before. One of her quieter performances
ahhh, that second "what you had" at 6:23 , always cuts right through me... for 50 years.. the White Witch has my number.
Lol this song is about her Bf. That is singing and playing guitar beside her. She also dated the drummer. Tom Petty's song Don't Come Around No More, also deals with here and 2 guitar players in others bands, The Eagles and The Eurythmics

Of the dozens of hits that Fleetwood Mac had over the years, this is the only one that hit #1 in the charts. ✌🏼😃🇺🇸

Recorded Live at soundcheck in Paris, on the Tusk Tour, 6/14/80.
Gold dust woman is one of my favorite tracks
Love Fleetwood Mac! Saw Stevie perform last summer in Chicago at Soldier Field. Fantastic!
hypnotized, by Fleetwood Mac with Bob Welch is really good as well.
The "Rumors Tour" was my favorite Fleetwood Mac tour. They were going through some messy personal stuff but the concert was fantastic.

Hey Polo Merry Christmas! Great reaction!
Thank God I saw them on the last tour they did with all the members. 🙏
It's a must now that you watch them do Rhiannon - live on the Midnight Special. Stevie at her witchy amazing rock and roll queen best!
Stellar musicianship and I’m very much including Stevie’s voice. I wait for certain drum fills on this.
Stevie was high AF in that. Check out the studio version for a cleaner example of her vocals

Thank you my man. Been hoping you'd hit this tune. Truly one of my sleeper favorites. Thanks again.
Eveeeeerybody was in love with Stevie Nicks! ; )
Nice reaction. I've always loved that song.
Saw Stevie at a pretty remote lower income town in 2007. She can play wherever she wants and she came to us. Love her.
lightning in a bottle album. every song is this good
You need to check out Larkin Poe “Mad as a Hatter” recorded live at The Convent Club.

I honestly believe Rumours by Fleetwood Mac is the best album ever made.
I love Little Lies. W music video and great song.
The drummer Mick Fleetwood is in that Ocean Spray commercial!
Just because of “snow”
