This is one of my favorite Rush songs, and certainly one of my favorite instrumentals. It's more subdued than other instrumentals, but I like the sort of dark, moody vibe to it and it really showcases their talents as instrumentalists. For a future reaction, I suggest the live version of 'The Weapon' from 1984.

This is one of the unsung hero tracks on Moving Pictures. The next track, Vital Signs, is even better in my opinion. Great stuff Polo, thanks! As far as this track goes, one thing that really stands out to me is Neil's blending of conventional drums with an electronic kit. Really brings the track into the 80's. Geddy's bass has a persistent growl which makes the rhythm track hold the line.

Pretty sure this is the album that Maynard listened to as a kid with headphones for the first time, he came out of that listen knowing what he wanted to do with his life.
