These videos are a guilty pleasure of mine. Watching Birdman go in on Jeremy for being a putz in a playful manner of course is always fun and actually has gotten me to rewatch a few movies I’d forgotten about.
I was doing a Tom Cruise marathon because I’ve never seen any of his movies and i came across this one. Really enjoyed it and thought it looked beautiful.
@@alicepbg2042 yeah. Not counting tropic Thunder tho 🤣 didn’t know it was him at the time. But i watched all the mission impossible movies, oblivion, edge of tomorrow, collateral and the Top gun movies. Need to see what else to watch.
18:46 what I've been saying for a long time. I don't mind criticizim, It's a fundamental step in making one's self better, but there is a big difference between criticism and cynicism, which some reviewers don't seem to understand.
Firmly agreed. This sort of pure negative nitpicking isn't useful. Especially when folks like CinemaSins go into movies purely to look for petty nitpicks, instead of actually trying to watch the movie and suspend disbelief.
It’s a super small detail but I gotta say that the fact that you made the “t” sound as you transitioned into the “to the day” made my day for some reason lol keep up the great work! (:
17:22 can we get this sun on loop. You’ve perfectly summed up the problem with so many movie critics these days (not just UA-cam). They aren’t reviews they are a list of nitpicks.
As a Falcons fan who just watched Mariota throw a pick on the could have been redemption for that 28-3 collapse, thanks for keeping the pain at the front of my mind. 😔
Took some time to jump from the CinemaSins bandwagon to Th3Birdman. Glad I did it! Also thank you for introducing me to Louis Cole. Your musical choices are top notch!!! Ever thinking of doing a What Wrong with another channel?
My favorite sci-fi movie of all time is Back to the Future Part II. As an avid fanatic of that whole trilogy, I almost wanted to point out in the BTTF III video that Bob Gale said in the audio commentaries that they gave the men in the McFly family line a genetic predisposition to be attracted to women that merely look like Lea Thompson, but someone else in the comment section already beat me to it, and after some time passed, I ultimately decided it wasn't worth it. Feel free to do with this info what you'd like. Maybe make a Stan bit out of it. Anyway, keep up the good work as always.
Thank you, Birdman, for lambasting the critics for what they fail in. Critics are far too critical to examine what is right about a movie, and not forgiving enough for the minor flaws in favor of just enjoying themselves. Thus, they serve no useful purpose.
Thank you for the way you explained your issue with UA-cam movie critics. I feel the exact same way and you put it better than I ever could. This shit has bothered me forever and I couldn’t put it into words. Thank you.
This is entirely tangential, but Vika said "I'm ordering you to pull out!" And then an ad started playing with someone shouting "I OBJECT!" and it accidentally made the funniest joke in the video. XD
You singlehandedly made me watch CinemaSins videos (that I hadn't watched since 2015 or something) and the movie(s) to see if I could spot sins that you might have forgotten. Whilst we may have a different definition of "sins" and what might constitute a "sin", I can say that if anything you are the hyper-observant one. Sometimes his "sins" are literally straight up scene manipulation and what bothers me is the fact that he acts as if he has no previous knowledge of the movie, as if it was a reaction, when it's clearly written by staff and the movie was dissected before all for the sake of padding the sin count (usually it's explained later in the movie and he doesn't remove the sins for later explanation of his dumb question that led to said sin earlier on). So I can only praise you for continuing this series of videos in spite of some negative comments by the most trigger-eager of CinemaSins' fanbase, and I thought a nice comment would be refreshing for a change (and I know you read comments). Your hard work is appreciated! Peace.
What gets me, is that in the comics, Black Panther stated that they (Wakanda) had cured cancer but were not letting the rest of the world have it. Yet Boseman died from cancer, so either they go with that for T'Chala or they go with him dying from a fight. Marvel has already switched actors for characters, so recasting T'Chala is what they should have done. And like a Stan Lee cameo, they could have had the new T'chala take a moment to maybe look at his new royal portrait that is of Boseman and say, "Hmm, I don't see the resemblance."
I have a bag of chips with cheese and mayonnaise, a large glass of gin and tonic with angostura bitters. Now a Th3Birdman video. Can my night get any better? Yes, but only if I woke up next to Felicity Kendal 🙋🏼♀️
I was in 8th grade when this movie came out watched it when with my buds on my birthday we called the Scavs where humans, evil Oscar lady was evil, and the fact Julia got shot we called. Did we find the movie predictable and a easy plot line to predict? Yes. Did I still think it was one of my favorite Movies of that year? Hell yes I did, the art style was really cool, and I loved the feel of the movie.
As always cool video, giving a grat explanation for the misunderstanding that Cinema SIns has. Would love to see a video on any or all the Transformers movies.
Hey Birdman! Love these videos so much. I have a genuine question, do you ever get annoyed watching these trends of people who don’t know anything about comics try and compare comic book characters? Like on one hand I’m happy that more people are getting into nerd shit, but I swear sometimes the stuff they say is so stupid to anyone who actually reads comics. -Rosebloom
I know you’re just ribbing the Cinema Sins guys all in fun, but I have to admit I find the concept of these videos infinitely more satisfying than the original “sins,” so liked & subbed 😂
Now that Tom Cruise and this director have a billion-dollar movie with Top Gun. 2, I'm hoping we get a sequel to Oblivion, Definitely one of my favorite Tom Cruise sci-fi movies

while not for the same reasons jeremy said, i too had a problem with the ejection method of the ship. fighter jets eject upward. based only on this scene (since its the only one we see), they are ejected slightly diagonally. maybe it can be ejected in 360 angles, i dont know. but the way it ejects, with the full "cockpit", the way it landed would pose a serious threat since even the chute did little to minimize the impact. disregard of the cockpit is made of adamantium. i have not seen the movie since... the movies.
Hey Birdman, can you cover a Nostalgia Critic episode? It would be nice to have some variety on this channel. We all know about Jeremy's attention span being rivaled by a dog in a squirrel-infested forest, so a change in targets would draw a different audience.
If you can find a second hand copy, you should review Jeremy's book because I can't imagine what a steaming pile of exposition it must be, considering he is on board with such awful sins being written.
