      I think I was ten the first time I saw it, and got a massive kick out of it. Still, the fact that there were toys made for tis movie is more than a little messed up. Yeah, lets make toys for elementary schoolers tied into an R rated violence fest. This is definitely the act of normal psychologically healthy adults.

When a Cyborg - Murphy only has HIS FACE! He does not have anything Functional in his head but his CPU... All shooting in the head would do is expose his Cybernetic Skull.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, because I'm not a gun specialist. Most shotgun shells I've seen are filled with metal pellets. So when a shotgun fires, the pellets scatter. It depends on how close you are to the target, some may hit it, some may not.

      That's typically true though shotguns also do fire 'slugs' as well which are more like a "regular" bullet

    • @calebbarnhouse496
      @calebbarnhouse496 Рік тому +3

      Well yea, that's how they work, there are other things that can be used, from slugs to .50 caliber rounds, but in the end a shotgun is just tube and a firing pen, that's why you can make a pipe shotgun with 2 pipes and a nail, anything you can put in the barrel can be fired from it, same goes for any gun, however the safety, and effectiveness varies, particularly high pressure things in systems not made for it, that can make them explode, often wounding or killing the person firing

    • @JechtAruon
      @JechtAruon Рік тому +5

      Many variables when it comes to a shotgun. Are you using a choke, what load are you using like bird shot, slug, or double x buckshot. In the end they wanted Murphy to suffer why in the beginning they shot off his hand and then arm. After they had their fun they just did center mass shots to leave him there suffering and to die slowly to think about his mistake. A headshot would of been over quickly. Remember always wait for backup,don’t want to pull a Murphy 😉

    I've been waiting years for this. I have a whole essay debunking this in the original video's comments. See below.
    #1 - Detroit is so fucked up, changing in front of the opposite sex is the least of any cop's worries. Also, it could be a way of boosting morale.
    #2 & #6 - Crime is a way of life in Detroit. Ergo, the sense of urgency in cops driving off to the line of duty.
    #3 - Naive kid out of his element. Maybe he thought it was some test.
    #4 - Said it yourself. Corporations don't give a shit.
    #8 & #9 - Where do you expect them to be shooting?
    #11 - Idle chit chat.
    #13, #16 & #46 - Joe's a psychopath.
    #15 - Aiming for the face is too easy. They want him in pain as he dies.
    #17 - Perhaps he was in a cab?
    #20 - We're seeing the situation from everyone else's POV.
    #22 - As we later see, Alex Murphy is still in there.
    #24 - Take him outside, thus risking escalating the situation? That takedown was quick and efficient, not to mention that Robocop was reacting to the guy trying to escape. Still, it's not explained what happens to the criminal.
    #29 - Psychopaths! They get pleasure out of the pain of others.
    #35 - He's showing Clarence that he won't be intimidated. Disgusting, but there's a reason behind it.
    #44 - That's how Lewis understands his diet, so that's what she bought. Remember, the police are on strike, so grocery shopping in of itself isn't exactly safe. It's a wonder she got that at all.
    #45 - He's perceiving the flashbacks as an outsider. Notice how he said "Murphy had a wife and son.", not "I had a wife and son."
    #47 - Psychopaths act psychopathic even to other psychopaths. That he gives him the same gun afterwards almost to make up for it shows how manipulative he is.
    #53 - It's easier when you catch them by surprise. As far as she was concerned, Clarence was near death after that crash.
    #54 - Immobilising a target makes them easier to kill. Also, who says he had any ammo left? Even if he did, shooting Murphy risks shrapnel hitting Clarence.
    #55 - "I'm living in one of the most fucked up cities in the world and the police are going on strike? I'm getting the fuck out of here." "Bob, you still have scrap to clear. There's even a heap left in your.....Bob?"
    #56 - She's a cop: one of the few people in the city who are trained to use firearms. No shit it works better in her hands.
    #57 - OCP intended to expand the Robocop program and what better way to do so than to install the data ports in their own backyard?
    #58 - A foreshadow of audio isolation technology?
    #60 - If my best friend's murderer got his just rewards, I'd be happy too.

      Plus, it's a movie, it doesn't have to treat guns how they would realistically be.
      Otherwise, people would hate paintings because they don't all show how humans realistically look.
      How real elements of reality are in a fictional story is up to the person or people making it and what they are trying to express.
      It's why silencers in spy movies don't sound the way they would in real life. There's a certain feel that you wouldn't get if the gun was realistically firing.

    I'm a batman fan, but if Batman met up with the Chief there is no question that Bats would lose. Chief would wreck his shit. Even with prep time, how is Bats gonna get through the spartan armor. That's built for war, not just a fight. At MAX Batman might be able to hack the suit and shut it down, rendering Chief immobile, but i doubt that. Thanks Cortana, and a thank you to BirdMan for the awesome vids

    Nice to see the comments at teh end of the video - Got to admit, Love your work... Especially your CinemaSins Sins Videos...Even though I shoudl be JEALOUS AS F**K! LMAO! I have joked about it before, and I love the fact that someone did what I did only in video form... But yeah, When I first started watching CinemaSins, I used to pause each video - And Critique their Critique in their comments section with Timestamps to each one...
    But hey! I am Camera Shy so I was never going to make anything of it - I am glad that JayExcii and yourself did!!! Because you also do a far better job than I ever could!!! Still, you can always go back and find some of my old comments and use them if you want... Be kind of fun!
    And - I am going to let CinemaSins have ONE damn good sin... While I never noticed it when I first saw Robocop back in the day - WOW! Dick Jones falling from that Window... JUST HOW DID THEY END UP PRODUCING SUCH A BAD EFFECT!? And yet - Those who watched back then, we all missed it... Or ignored it... Christ, even now I know it exists - I can still watch this movie and TOTALLY IGNORE the Uber Long Arms...
    And that is a testament to just HOW DAMN FINE A MOVIE this is... Unlike the 2014 Remake! And hey, I got to give it credit - There are things it does well, I do like the CGI for the most part, There is many good things I can say about the 2014 Version... May even send @Th3Birdman my rough attempt at sinning that movie - As CS are NEVER going to do it... Trust me, Me and other fans have BEGGED CinemaSins to do that video and they IGNORE US!!!
    There is good in the Reboot, but it fails as it relies on EVERY SODDING HOLLYWOOD CLICHE you can think of... It's not Smart, It's Not Good, Its GENERIC... The best thing it has going for it is the CGI!

    If given enough thought Batman COULD in theory stand up to Master Chief in his own right, just much like how he can stand his own against Superman who's just a superhuman alien. I could see Batman thinking up a plan that would be effective against Master Chief, even if he is a bioengineered super soldier, he came up with contingency plans for each member of the Justice League including himself, so coming up with something against Master Chief would work given enough prep time and data he has on him, even if they're completely new to Batman himself.

    OK, you bag on shotguns but for anyone that has used a shotgun with moderate training can, with slugs, get head shots at 50 yrds. Your expected range of accuracy for any box of slugs you grab in a store should be about 50 yards. This is an average range for the typical field gun with a smooth barrel and bead sight, shooting any brand of ammunition picked at random.
    "But how do you know its Deer Slug?" Fine if they were shooting Buckshot, at 10 feet the Avg spread is 3 inch and 20 feet its 6-7 inches depending on the wade and load. The Avg. Human head is 6-7 inches wide. So at 5 yards a Buckshot blast would fit squarely inside a human head with good aim. So point to Jeremy these guys were some piss poor shots or were NOT aiming for the Face.

    • @dammagrilla
      @dammagrilla Рік тому +3

      Most shooters are trained to aim for center mass so they probably weren't aiming for his face... and why would they given the number of guns/guys shooting him?
      Imagine one guy trying to shoot his head while he's spasming from the bullets to the body... not gonna be an easy target compared to his torso
