Even if it worked, it only had half the lunar payload capacity of the Saturn V, so it would have been a real stretch getting someone on the moon and back. Apollo missions were stretched for weight as it was.

its a matter of perspective, there are many arguments for both sides for who won. but it is often said that the USA won the Space race because in the end they were the first, and still only, nation to send a human to the moon and return them home
@@bullshitlatinname1243 read the book Rocket Men. The us kept moving the goalpost since they wouldn't admit defeat. Doing this disqualifies them. Additionally, we're not talking about the moon race - we're talking about the SPACE race. It has nothing to do with the moon.
that launch was also by far the laggiest i've ever done for my mac. will not attempt again. surprisingly didn't explode unlike other master kerbonauts tehmattguy's soyuz
@@bullshitlatinname1243 Thank you for responding to me😁 but i want to say something Using ksp for a video is a really good idea as it is very "human space like" and what i prefer you do is do MORE ksp videos as ALLOT of people love space and that might be a cheat code for you getting more views BUT instead of using ksp 1 use ksp 2 as it is more kewl then ksp 1.... Sooo yeaah...

You are wrong. The us won the moon race, but the USSR won the Space Race with Gagarin's flight in 1961. The goal was to send somebody to space.
