First to mars: NASA seems to achieve more achievements but SpaceX seems to achieve achievements Slower but better...I think NASA
PS:NASA and SpaceX are pretty good friends
i'll say both will make it to mars and SpaceX Will help NASA devlop their rockets and NASA will help SpaceX Devlop their rockets too also the only reason SpaceX Didn't go bankrupt after Falcon 1 flight 4 is because of NASA
@@Capade actually, NASA found out about the ozone layer problem, they made the entire world stop producing with molecules which could make 0³ into 0² (ozone layer -> regular oxygen)
Well, NASA is paying SpaceX loads of cash and helping them out a ton...

Beautiful. Just Beautiful. But there are some historical errors.
1. The flight of soyuz where all the cosmonauts died. They died while re-entry in the descent module. But your camera is looking out the window of the orbital module
2. The space shuttle is firing it's OMS engines from the start on the launch pad. In reality, the space shuttle would only use it's three SSME(+of course the two giant solid rocket boosters) during the ascent. And fire its OMS engines once it is in space. Just to make minor orbital adjustments.
But regardless, I loved the video so much
깡겜제독 they died while docked didn’t they cos it depressurised
@@helenrennie1527 They died because a critical valve that should not have opened, malfunctioned during the descent. Which caused depressurising as you said - is what I've heard. Correct me if I'm wrong.
깡겜제독 oh yeah that’s probably right
It’s surreal to see images of other planets knowing no human has ever even been close to them
You forgot the first manned suborbital hop during the mercury days.
Kaoru Ohta sort of eclipsed by first manned orbital fight 3 weeks earlier however
This is the best historical video I ever seen !
It's amazing to see how far we've gone with Space Exploration.
Sadly NASA isn't getting much money anymore. I hope Biden will change that.

TheEventHorizon I’d say space engineers has the best soundtrack tho
TheEventHorizon because falcon heavy was launched after 2015
I don’t understand why its not there

3:07 Me: Wait... Is that?... It IS! It's Space Engineers Music! HERESY! Though, seriously... What IF Star Theory and Keen got together and made a KSP and Space Engineers crossover game or something? XD
So like a survival game but with realistic orbital mechanics? I LOVE that idea, forget this some indie dev go make this
I’ve been thinking about a KSP like game but built from the ground up to use n-body orbital mechanics and procedural parts - like SimpleRockets2. Add in some good tycoon mechanics and it may be something. Maybe even have a custom part builder like Children of a Dead Earth, though that may be too much.
I would love that, imagine Clang and the Krakken combined though, no one could do anything
Yes, more people play space engineers than I expected.
Great video, it'd be awesome to see this with the making history and breaking ground parts.
There is one thing you forgot to add to the Apollo 11:
*T h e B a r b e q u e R o l l*
Wait they did a B a r b e q u e R o l l ?
@@xanderaugustus1537 Well while in orbit around the moon it gets very cold. To combat this you roll your ship slowly so heat gets distributed equally and non of your electronics, engines, ect freeze up
Rocket: falls over
Siren: air raid noises
Gordon Workshops: ALL HAD IS TO DO IS TO NUKE
Just a question: Why didn't you include the Explorer 1 and the John Glenn launch?
Because he was not the first manned orbit
Gagarin got out and landed on a personal parachute. Just saying :)
Yes, all cosmonauts on the Vostok capsules did

Wow! Really nice job on these and thanks for the download links!
Great video but why not use the making history DLC parts for rockets like the saturn-V or was this recorded before update 1.4?
I think his Pc just couldnt handle it so he used stock
@@pandertv2235 No it was recorded before making history came out
@@K3NNLD it came out march 13 that year
@@pandertv2235 you're right. But it wouldn't be more impactful on his performance, since he actually now needs more parts for the same rocket.
@TM31 I honestly think that he either thought that the dlc isn't "stock" or that he just didn't have the dlc. Or he just wanted a challenge. Not using the dlc to get better peformance doesn't make sense because he uses way more parts instead of just loading in some extra ones.
this must've been so hard without the making history pack

the long thing at 14:09 is called the magnetometer boom. took me a sec to find it, it's on the real one too: Spacecraft magnetometers are magnetometers used aboard spacecraft and satellites, mostly for scientific investigations, plus attitude sensing. Magnetometers are among the most widely used scientific instruments in exploratory and observation satellites.

@@slycooper1001 that sucks
@@slycooper1001 Speaking of spaceflight disasters, the largest such remains the Nedelin disaster at the Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan. On October 24, 1960, while a Soviet ICBM of type R-16 was prepared for a test launch, the second stage engine was accidentally ignited. More than 100 tons of fuel exploded, resulting in 78 confirmed deaths, including the demise of the USSR's Chief Marshal of Artillery Mitrofan Ivanovich Nedelin. The rocket designer and the test range commanding officer survived, still suffering burns, because they were at the time in a bunker several hundred meters away, on a smoke break.
