the last part of your video was what was most important....clients love to see BIG production stuff...totally unnecessary...but they love it...nice vid...
I bought this camera 5 years ago, and it is still wonderful. It is totally manual, and you have to work to make it work for you. I am a novice with no history of film in my bones, but I still makes wonderful imagery. It is still the favourite camera for film students. Not to be missed.
Greetings from New Jersey! Awesome rig friend. I just picked up the pocket 4k about a week ago, and loving every bit of it. For the metabones speedbooster I think you’re experiencing the heavy vignetting because you may have the .64 focal reduction vs the .71 of the viltrox. The .64 is for full frame lenses, and the sigma 18-35 1.8 isn’t a full frame lens. Love the video!
I actually love my Pocket 4K but I really love the natural look of the m4/3 lenses. Has the limitations but I love the natural fall off (and cheaper price of the lens). Wonderful camera. Wonderful video.
You know, I think I’m gonna buy this camera. I have spent two years figuring out what camera I want the Sony FX black magic 6K or an older red , Panasonic, SH one or the newer version. Out of all of that I think I’ll end up get the bmpcc 4k and I have the original og … To this day still beautiful image.
Great video. I've got three of these cameras, and the setup for my field camera is very similar. One thing I'd recommend is that you get a dedicated seamless gear ring for your 18-35 lens by Tilta. They cost about $2 from B&H, and it's a massive upgrade over using the adjustable gear rings. I just ended up ordering one of those rings in every size so I can adapt some other lenses to work with the Tilta follow focus wheel as well.
Dude! Great video! I almost have the same rig! 2022 and I'm still lovin' the 4k, Im thinkin' in to make a video about my rig, thanks for share your experience! Cheers from Mexico!
Nice setup man. I have the 4K too with the Viltrox II adapter. The Sigma lens is not a full frame lens. If I could afford a metabones, I would definitely upgrade to that. The Viltrox degrades the image significantly - softens the contrast and adds a little bit of yellow tint, at least in my case. All this time I thought my lens was the culprit, which is the Canon 24-105mm f4.0 L lens until I got myself a 6K G2. When I popped that lens to it, I was stunned that my lens could produce that rich and sharp image. Metabones > Viltrox anyday.
I think we could have someting lighter without ssd and just a moza gimbal this thing can serve as batterie expander and as a gimbal with electric follow focus rig on it, this keeping the rig very light , other manual rig can be lighter with the extended battery box grip from black magic i prefer staying low profile, but your rig is fine too, there is no perfect solution, it depend of the creative use .
Hey man awesome video, just a quick tip on your rig. Where you put the nato rail on the cage for your top handle is already a nato rail by design, so you actually don’t need to put one.
Thanks for this video. Can you please do the camera with the gimbal that you mentioned? That’ll help a few of us who want to use the bmpcc4k with a gimbal
my BMPCC4K bricked after 7.9 update. any suggestions? Blackmagic has known about this update issue for may months apparently and have not done anything to fix it!!!
While I appreciate this presentation by Films by Jeremy, it also makes me sad because obviously you want to be a filmmaker and create badass movies for the masses, but instead you make these UA-cam tutorials and wedding videos (which are beautiful btw). Man, get in there! You've spent so much money, time, and energy so put it to use. If I had your equipment and your money, I'd be working with scriptwriters and local actors and having the time of my life!
Great question, I just have a ton of EF lenses from the Canon days, it was cheaper to just pick up a speed booster and the lenses are still awesome. I don't mind the M 3/4 glass, I have a few of those as well, but the 18-35 mixed with a speed booster just gives you so much more flexibility with lowlight and that full frame look.

Great video. Recently got myself the 6K G1 and I'm loving it but the cage is definitely a must instead of carrying around the SD.
The samsung t7 works now with a firmware update.

Pretty much the exact same rig. I'm using Rokinon cine primes and Andycine monitor. Love it!

Thank you! Yeah absolutely make a video, rig videos are so fun to watch!
DO IT! Just got mines & I'm staying to rig it out. SUCH A EXCELLENT ENTRY CAMERA FOR PEOPLE! Blackmagic has done the world such a big favor! 🙏🏾
Great video. I'm a novice, but looking to get this before the year is up. Great direction.
Awesome video! 6KPro user here ☺️
Nice. The only ssd drive I find to be better than the Samsung T5 is the delkin devices juggler 1TB and 2TB. Solid ass rig my friend.

if you really use vlock battery I think you should power monitor from vlock as well via dummy battery it will be less front heavy
amazing insight, thank you for sharing

Great idea!
Nice setup 👌. I have tried to find the smallrig black side handle, but can’t seem to find it. What model is it ?

What BMPCC4K and Viltrox firmware versions are you running?
The latest on both
@@jeremybfilms Thanks
Why these guys only use SIGMA lense in the 4k?? The m43 lense are bad????
