CG Shortcuts its obsolutely useful. In my opinion one of th best courses that I have seen so far. On udemy you cant find such cool and informative courses concerning cinema 4D and Octane.
What about Physical render? Will I able to follow the rendering videos with ease? Also please dont stop uploading courses on Skillshare because of you I purchased a subscription. Anyways, thanks!
haha of course, I'll always stay on Skillshare too, I love that site! But some people like to buy the courses to keep and dont want a subscription so this is an option for them;) Also The setup we discuss in the course in standard and octane, but if you change the renderer to Physical from the standard renderer, you get prety much the same result;) However I found the Physical render was slower so I went with the Standard. Let me know if you have any trouble and I'll help you out;) Thanks for enroling and dont forget to post your creations, would love to see. Cheers Ankit!!
Indeed they did but Maxon has no plans to package it up with C4D in future, if they did I would have to switch. But right now Octane is still more popular and way more studios still using it. It's also much cheaper and in my opinion much easier to learn. Redshift is great but it has features most artists wont need. Octane has everything you need for production, I've used it on jobs for many studios. But like I said, if it comes standard with c4d or drops in price (or becomes more widely used), I'll make the switch;) Thanks for watching!
Hi. Could you do a lesson process of daylight and postprodaction in octane for simple primitives, like you do in you tiser. I'm newbie in Cinema4d and i dont know how to visualize beautifully the result, but I like to buy you course on skillshare.
Hi Crystal, glad to hear you're liking the course! It comes with a template file of the exact scene I used to render the shot from the trailer so you can see how it was done in there if you like. I'm also working on a bit Octane training course showing how to get beautiful materials for your renders, hopefuly be out soon;) Thanks for watching!!
This is awesome! Thank you. Also Glad to see you have your own platform. Happy to support. And excited to learn! Already purchased but have a quick question :) how hard would it be to take these assets and then animate them on our own? Do you go into further animation techniques for these projects?
Hi mate, thanks for the support! I thought having a CGShortcuts exclusive platform might be the way to go for people who want permanent access and better support, I'm a bit obsessive over web design too so it's great having control of how it looks;) You can definitly animate any of those, pretty much all of the settings we discuss are animate-able, didnt have time to go into that this time though.
hello sir , i watch your full course that was amazing but why you didn't explain materials adjusment and so on i'm a begginer and i was expecting so much things in your course about materials becuase your materials effect is awsome i want learn that thing but ..... really sad
Hi Ahmad, thanks for checking out the course! Wanted to concentrate on creating the artworks themselves in this one. Did you try the templates that come with the course? I go over the material and lighting setup of those, I used the same setup for each artwork. Really need a whole course to go over all material creation. I'm working on a big course now dedicated to material creation in octane so hopefully that helps;)
Theres a lesson where we run through the lighting and render setup in c4d standard and octane render and we also include the project file as a template, so you can get the same render or use it as a starting point. Mainly the course shows the various ways to create abstract art
@@CGShortcuts for a course, you may as well teach how to get the end resulting render like the one you're using to market the course, otherwise whats the point?
We do, there's even a template with the exact settings;) We've been working on a huge materials course which should be the answer to everyones need for getting the look;)
Hi Cass, If you view the course on Udemy it has English Subtitles. They are auto generated but pretty good www.udemy.com/abstract-art/?couponCode=ABSTRACT60
I've never seen it on Mac, you need a Cuda GPU and macs dont have them. Might be time to go back to PC if you want to get into GPU rendering (for now anyway;) But you dont need Octane for this course, it's just one extra lesson for those who use it

Hey Kam, that's not a problem, you should be able to use PayPal I'm prety sure thats fairly worldwide. If you go though our training site you should have that option www.cgshortcuts.courses/courses/abstract-art Let me know if that doesnt work for you;)

Hi Casper, its 60 percent off the 29.99 but technically it was only for the launch. I've extended it for you for the next few hours though if you want to give it a try again;)
Man I wish I could but I had to take loads of time off work to create this course so the little bit of money this makes will hopefully pay for me to take more time off to make more classes and tutorials. Trying to keep them as cheap as possible but if you really need this one and cant afford the few dollars for the course, you can email me and I'll see what I can do;) Cheers
This is absolutely fair. I actually dont like wasting too much money for courses, but this is not a waste for sure, thats investing! Really cool!!!
Cheers mate, glad you're liking it! Trying to keep the price down as low as I can just to cover the time I spent making it;) Hope you find it useful!😀

do you actually teach the material techniques and lighting setup as well as rendering? or is it just going through the different deformers?
