ive been rocking my orignial mx master for going on 5? years now. cant remember exactly when i got it but ive put it through the ringer over the years. most durable, well built mouse ive ever owned, a very stark contrast to my other logitech mice (4 logi mice. 4 broken logi mice) currently planning on grabbing the 3s because of the silent switches being nice while taking notes in class, being in libraries doing work. it feels like the polite thing to do. my biggest complaint about the mouse which holds true with the 2,2s, 3,3s is that the mouse weighs waaaaay too much, i wouldnt use it for gaming but man does a lightweight mouse feel better during prolonged use, as well as just feels way more precise, all the mx master models feel like im using a brick instead of a mouse. my second biggest complaint is the polling rate. like i said its not a mouse id ever use for gaming, i dont need 8k hz polling rate. but the bluetooth limited polling rate just feels so clunky and cumbersome in any software especially in SolidWorks, Inventor, Fusion360 ect. this also compounds with the weight issue making it feel even more sluggish. however its biggest redeeming qualities that ultimately make this the mouse i stick with are its superior ergonomics, super easy connectivity, the battery lasts literal weeks (probably one of the most important features), and how much useful customization is has, Horizontal scroll is a must for me. the free scroll is a bit overrated in practicality but ive grown to like having unrestricted scroll rather than tactile bumps, and the 3 main side buttons are positioned very well. personally i would love to see 2 more macro buttons placed along the left click button similar to the old Logitech g502, if the mouse could dump an additional 30-50 grams and maybe include a spot to house a 2.4ghz dongle i dont think there would be a more perfect mouse
Well the G604 used to deliver everything. Now it's discontinued. Absolute bummer. Imagine everything +hotswappable battery +dongle storage +months of battery life +gaming capabilities +leftside buttons +freewheel clutch button.
I bought the MX Master 3S for everyday use and gaming. Within the last two years I've had two of them break. On both mice the left mouse button dislodged from the mouse. There are two thin plastic arms that hold the button in place. The arms snapped and the button came loose. I really like this mouse, but it's obvious that it is not built for long hours of gaming. In a few days I will be getting my second replacement from Logitech. Since the warranty runs out in a couple of months, I won't be recieving another one in the future. That means I will have to use another mouse for gaming, which is why I recently purchased the Logitech G502 X. I'm not a fan of this mouse or it's sibling, the G502 Hero...which I also owned, but eventually gave it to my nephew. It's a shame that Logitech didn't make more stable buttons for the MX Master 3. It would make it the ulimate accessory to have...like their G500 S, which I used for 8 years.
I just bought a M2 MacBook Air 15" (like an hour ago) and came across this mouse as a recommended accessory. After watching this review, I can't wait to pick one up and use it with the laptop. Looks killer!
In addition to the other posters here, I have also had MX Master, a 3 and 3s. I can say that the rubber texture on its surface degrades/dissolves after 2+ years. You will see the first signs after a few months of heavy use. Disassembly is unneccessarily difficult. Polling is terrible, 125 hz. Lower than most good monitor refresh rates these days. Onboard battery lasts a long time. Ergonomics are great though. I also like the hybrid Scroll-Wheel.
I brought this mouse and MX keys in a bundle long time ago for my apprenticeship and I haven't looked back since. This has been oone of the most comfortable mice for me to use in terms of me dealing with my workload but also really amazing for editing videos and photos on my mac. I literally couldn't recommend a better mouse 100% and for the price tag it delivers.
0:29 Goodness, you have my gratitude that you mentioned a crucial piece that there are two versions of this type of mouse. That one comes with a bold receiver and one doesn't. I started getting concerned & kept reviewing the packaging of the box, because I got the one that relies only on Bluetooth. Makes so much more sense now, thank you again. :)
I have been using this mouse for a while now. When I first started using MX Master mice, I struggle getting use to it. Now, I can't use most mice without getting annoyed and hand cramps.
I usually dont buy productivity mouse (all my mice and keyboards are for gaming) but the 3S' productivity focus, long battery life and the fact that it's wireless sold me as a daily driver for web browsing/work mouse. Only negative is the hump is a little too high and my hands are not small.
Got one for Christmas today. Best gift I ever got. Feels so premium. A must have! And yes, the "smooth scroll", when enabled, does change the scrolling behavior, and I'm so glad I can now read texts in small boxes without sudden steps. I wouldn't want any other mouse.
Very good video on presenting the features of this great mouse. I just upgraded from a generic wireless mouse to the Logitech MX Master 3S and I am very impressed with it's features. Your video has been a great help in recommending and discovering features for this tool.
Do you know if the horizontal scroll function works by default in Windows without having to install special drivers or the Logitech software? It might be hard for me to get approval to install things on my work laptop.
I love this mouse. I got the Mac version. My only issue was that scrolling web pages was a bit choppy. BUT, downloading the MOS app was a game changer. It scrolls smooth like a trackpad now!

Absolute pos mouse all because it has a polling rate of 125Hz I don’t know about the rest of you but if you use a descent screen with a 120Hz and above refresh rate, this mouses polling rate will drive you insane, it makes the screen feel like 60hz due to the stuttery cursor movement. If you have used a decent mouse with a 500hz and above polling rate this will feel like a cheap mouse from the 90s!!! Worst purchase of my life. The poling rate isn’t listed anywhere! When spending this much cash on a mouse you would automatically assume that it has a decent polling rate! Build quality great, clicks feel great and mouse wheels feel great but all of this is let down by a sh$t polling rate! Funny thing is that it has a 8000DPI sensor 😅 but don’t confuse DPI and polling rate they are not the same thing.
That's a good point, maybe the next gen will be a bit lighter! Also going to include that in the next mouse video, totally forgot to do it here, sorry!
That’s not actually true For people who use their computers for work, and spend 30-40 hours a week on the computer for their job. Having a mouse that can increase your productivity, as well as being ergonomic can provide way more value than the price tag entails. Doubly so if the person if freelance and gets paid to finish a project, so being able to have a device that increases your work speed, can net you way more money out, than if you had a 30 dollar mouse. It depends on what you’re doing with it, and how it benefits your workflow If you use this solely for web browsing, or gaming then you will be wasting your money. So it’s not that it’s not worth $100, but rather it isn’t worth $100 to you
You’re missing out - my gaming mouse is 150 and I just bought this one for little over 80. Absolutely life changing purchases, both of them. The fact that you don’t care about it doesn’t mean it’s not worth it for someone else.

Remember, you always get what you pay for.
Would love to see a reduction in weight
That's a good point, maybe the next gen will be a bit lighter! Also going to include that in the next mouse video, totally forgot to do it here, sorry!
"Most of you who are buying this are going to be using this for editing videos"
UA-camrs are completely detached from reality.
To be honest, I can't disagree. Most people are probably going to be clicking away at excel
Are you gaming with this?
I just bought it and scare to watch the video ))))
Don't worry, it's great!

the microswitch is notoriously bad
Too heavy and there are better gaming mice. Look into Razor Basilisk V3 wired. Way better.
This isn't a mouse designed for gaming
Mouse is good , But it won’t last.
will update you when it breaks
@@MarioDuch I was telling my experience. Left button stopped working after 1 year.
I have my MX 3 for around 3 years now and the rubber coating starts to really looking ugly and slowly dissolving.

Worst mouse I have used, I returned it.
no mouse worth 100 bucks bro
Exactly
That’s not actually true
For people who use their computers for work, and spend 30-40 hours a week on the computer for their job.
It depends on what you’re doing with it, and how it benefits your workflow
If you use this solely for web browsing, or gaming then you will be wasting your money.
@@PachoMoncadaMwhich gaming mouse?
@@TheTAEclub Razer V3 Pro. Worth every penny in my opinion
Great video! May I know what camera & lens you use?
Thanks, I use a Sony a6400 with a Sigma 16mm f1.4
