Go Alex Kingston, I applaud you for biting the man’s tounge , if u don’t like something and they don’t listen, then they must learn , and teach them you did! Alex your an inspiration to us all
I love her talking about the fans and trying not to be insulting. "They wear these anoraks" "a bit like train spotters, it's awful to say but they are" 😂 bless her, we're not all that weird Alex, well actually yeah we probably are...
Thanks I remembered the 'unicorn and the wasp' kiss a few hours after posting that, but I decided it didn't really count. I think Alex Kingston's point was that he wasn't usualy physically involved with his companions, and that still stands. He tried to keep Rose's love unrequited because of the human/timelord ageing gap. The kiss with Donna wasn't romantic. She did it because he needed a shock. It wouldn't have worked if it was something they'd both been wanting.
Paul McGann was the first Doctor to be kissed on-screen in the 1996 TV movie. When I met Paul McGann in 2010, I asked him what it was like kissing Daphne Ashbrook and he said it was good because he was the first Doctor to be kissed on-screen.
I haven't been allowed on tumblr in over a month and this just made me so happy..... I just..... She is the queen of awkward moments on talk shows. Like with her ring on Craig Ferguson........
I love how she has to explain the play to everyone and I'm sitting here, as a German, having flashbacks to reading it in German class. (I'm sure it will be interesting when such a good company performs it, but I absolutely HATED the play when we had to read it.)
"No tongues, clearly." *..... throws hands up defensively* "ooh. tongues!" :P rawr :D the Doctor may have kissed a woman before but Alex Kingston is quite clearly in a league of her own. Lucky, lucky Doctor, indeed :D
Heh - the Doctor's first on screen snog was Paul McGann's 8th Doctor with Grace Holloway. The Doctor's second on screen kiss was Eccleston's 9th Doctor - with Captain Jack Harkness! (See new series season 1 - The Parting of the Ways). Poor Rose was only number three (later in the same episode). Then David Tennant just went for it with everyone! Well, now the Doctor is a married man. William Hartnell's Doctor almost got married in The Aztecs, but there was no snogging in that story.
@Rowan07001484 Your reaction to Gillian Anderson was similar to mine when I watched an interview years ago with Daniel Davis ("Niles" on The Nanny). Excellent British accent... born & raised in Arkansas! When I heard that southern accent come out of him, I couldn't stop giggling.
@Dr10LiveLaughLove i think she's referring to Matt Smith's Doctor and also in relation to River Song. The Doctor doesn't remember kissing her so maybe she was referring to that...
the doctor had kissed people before this but not really in the same way as that kiss with river because it was fully born out of their feelings for each other whereas previous kisses always had something else going on or other complicating factors (obviously nine and rose had feelings for each other but their kiss was just as much him saving her as it was because of their feelings, jack’s was just his way of saying goodbye, etc.)
@trixy9 Technically Amy kissed him. He backed away. I'm pretty sure she means a "real" kiss. You could even argue that his kiss with Rose was in order to save her..
Doesn't the doctor have grandchildren, so he might not have kissed someone on screen but he must of kissed people if he has child who in turn had grandchildren
We know Alex knows and likes DW (like every Brit =D) but isn't a die-hard fan. She is however a busy actress so it wouldn't be surprising if she had never found the time to watch all of New Who - and maybe she was even told not to, so it wouldn't influence the way she plays River. After all, from River's point of view, all these adventures (and kisses!!) happened AFTER she had died in the Library, so unless the Doctor told her about them, how would she know?
Actually it wasn't romantic. He kissed Martha to transfer some of his DNA onto her lips so that the Judoon would be distracted. Before doing so he said something like "Forgive me for this, it could save a thousand lives. It means NOTHING" and then she was left swooning "THAT was nothing?!"
@eclecticapress She was saying the "there apparently never was a kiss before" in a slightly sarcastic way, if you noticed. She probably got what part of the fandom the interviewer was from and reacted like 'em cool people do. - via steatlh insult

Alex Kingston- you are BRILLIANT. When a man refuses to respect your boundaries, bite his tongue off XD
He wasn't learning any other way. A girl's gotta do what she's gotta do.

Alex is so talented, and incredibly beautiful.
She's talking about Matt Smith's version of the doctor not the other doctors!

omfg as if I didn't love her enough already!
God i am laughing out loud. I was drinking tea when she started talking about biting his tongue, i almost died 😂
Graham's reaction to the tongue story was AMAZING :P
"He is a hottie and I want him" same girl.
Alex Kingston is a great actress.
Nah. The Doctor has definitely had flings before. Elizabeth the first comes to mind.
And the fact that he has a granddaughter...
Pretty sure she was referring to just the 11th doctor
TheMontegonian That was with Ten
@@NBE21 she said first time after 900 years show she is referring to every regeneration ,plus Amy kissed him
Rose, Jack, Elizabeth I, even Cleopatra once.
Thanks for uploading this video! I think Alex is great, Moffat is brilliant, and the River story arc is fantastic!
Never seen one single episode of Dottor Who, but Alex's such a charmer.
Myself and friends always thought it would be overly cheesy and nerdy. But it's genuinely very entertaining - at least up until the latest seasons.
Alex Kingston can bite me where ever she likes ;)
you cheating on me, girl?
;)

Creepy much , very inappropriate

She seems really nice :) She is a brilliant actress and River Song rules!
I'll hopefully remember this if I ever bump into Alex.
I love Alex Kingston...Why watch her interview if you don't...?
I luv u completely Alex
Alex Kingston, you amazing woman.
Don't blame her at all for biting the other actor's tongue.
I love how Alex said "he's a hottie and I want him" and everyone thought she was serious
Who would not want Alex!!
She's fucking gorgeous and amazing!!!

I'm a "Doctor Who" fan from waaaay back, but man I'm so glad I'm not as pathetic as the folks Alex describes here! D:
The thing is, Utah's pretty boring. So have a tv that's not American shoot in your state is kinda cool (not worth though).
I love how she's so matter of fact; "He's a hottie. And I want him."

Elizabeth Corday !!!
Hahaha Alex's reaction to asking if she and Matt use tongue
"You savage bitch!" LMFAO
The 8th in the movie kissed ol girl by tree but 11 n river took it there more than anyone

I love Alex so much
''You just do it'' LOL
Happy birthday alex from italian boy live in rome
Wow, River Song is a great actor. She really made me believe she was this Alex Kingston person...
"you savage bitch" favorite line of Graham Norton
I sooooooo want her hair... 😍😍😍😍😍
Not in a sexual way though, which is the point Alex is making.
The only way this show could be improved beyond its already exceptional quality is if Graham called someone on the couch a savage bitch every episode.
Four stitches on the toungue.......worth it!
Omg I can't even hahahahaha thank you so much. I didn't stop laughing the whole time! Oh Alex....
SHE'S GOT TO BE THE BEST THING IN LIFE.

Thanks! This was fun to see. I live in USA and could have missed this episode of Graham Norton.
She forgot the 10th doctor was kissing people left right and centre 😂
Forget Tennant, the Doctor was already a grandfather in the first series.
@Dr10LiveLaughLove i think she's referring to Matt Smith's Doctor and also in relation to River Song. The Doctor doesn't remember kissing her so maybe she was referring to that...
