I love Matt and Alex on screen together. The two of them had such great chemistry and played wonderfully well off each other. If they can't do a special Dr. who episode together then hopefully they can work together in something else! FANTASTIC video!!!
Moffat I think made a great decision on the library scene. Because though we whovians didnt really feel anything at the time. Whovians rewatch episodes all the time. He took that into consideration I think when coming up with river song. And thats what makea it so glorious. Thats what makes this so FANTASTIC. Rewatching and feeling new feelings. Seeing new connections. Doctor who is a brilliant show.
I'm a very recent fan and after watching The Husbands of River Song I rewatched The LIbrary and cried even more. Interesting how Alex didn't think River went beyong her orginal two episode arc but she delivered with such perfection of emotion and heartbreak we'd feel as we watch her come full circle. Alex Kingston deserves all the awards as Matt does as well when 11 gave his goodbye to River in The Name of The Doctor.
The BIGGEST evidence of there love is the look on his after she says, "You'll be the death of me." She says it without realizing the pain is caused. But he's look is borderline sick
When my OH and I see moments like that in Doctor Who we both exclaim, "THAT'S face acting!" Another example is when River Song tells Amy & Rory who she is... Tory's face is a picture.
This is the best love story in Doctor Who... I don't like the Rose/Ten's love... I mean Rose is okay to have a Ten's clone, even though he's not The Doctor just as long as he looks like him. But River, no. River is in love with The Doctor, what he truly is. She loved him with his different faces and personality. It is so perfect, this is true love. Not just sexual attraction. Well, beautiful video !
I disagree that the human Ten was not really The Doctor. What makes a person? Anyway... other than that, agree with everything u said about River. I think in River, the Doc finally met his match. All his other companions he loves but sees as sort of... grandkids/students/"You fascinating, inspirational puny humans with your short lives!" I didn't feel much when i saw the library/Forest of the dead when i first saw it, because i was into the idea of the 10/Donna ship, and then during the entire series of the 11th doctor, as i got to know and love more and more about River, i sometimes curse Steve Moffat for making regret not feeling so sad at her 'death' during the first viewing of Forest of the dead and became hopeful at 'The Name of the Doctor' when i saw her tombstone at Trenzalore, and the doctor saying he always, sees, hears, and feels her, and it hurts him. I became hopeful that she'll be freed from the library, and both will become Linear partners, and not the timey wimey, time traveling lovers who keep staying a step ahead or behind the other. Maybe it'll happen with River and Capaldi aka the 12th Doctor who knows. If they try to make any episode that involves them on a date to the Singing Towers, i'm sure that millions will cry knowing that this is the last time the Doctor will be with River Song based on her timeline before the library.
I cryed Like a Baby When I saw the Forest of the Dead and She died Cuz u could see that was truly inlove with the doctor and He knew it deep in his heart as well, Ever since the first time I seen River She has Been my fav Charcarter in the show I will be sad if after the 11th(matt Smith) Doctor Dies if we don't see anymore RiverSong.

Nosara Snow I completely agree, i never felt bad when River died the first time, but when i see that episode now i cry the whole time, because i know what it coming and it slightly breaks my heart. Then when the doctor was on Trensilor, and saw he i started balling all over again. She is my favorite character ever.
People ask me why i think river is better than rose and its pretty simple, I could imagine river being with any other version of the doctor and it still fit. Hartnell through capaldi i could still see them have the perfect chemistry unlike rose who I think would only fit with 9/10/11. just a humble whovians opinion though :)
Since River married Cleopatra too i really don't think it would be a problem to her to stay with jodie's doctor too XD anyway i think River story is closed/ended and we won't see them together :)

I love the Doctor and River. Their story is so sad and funny and happy, I would've loved to see their relationship being explored a bit further before they had gotten married in the story. Definitely hope to see River in the upcoming season, just give me a story that justifies her presence and I'll be happy.

You've taken two things I don't particularly like...this song (both for it's ties to Twilight and the fact that it never FITS for the never-ending parade couples it's inevitably used for) and Doctor/River, and you've squished them together into something I really REALLY like. I just thought of poor Amy... First she has a crush on the doctor. After the doctor fixed her relationship she finds out she is pregnant in about the last day of her pregnancy. Her child is taken away and brainwashed. She finds out her childhood friend actually IS her daughter, so she named her daughter after daughter after all... Her daughter marries the doctor. THAT must be confusing.
River is the one person who couldn't be the Doctor's Companion but she was yet every bit a life companion. The journey they shared is more than 50 years of journey of the doctor through the TARDIS in the TARDIS.

Quinn Roux I love 11/River but there is no need to degrade Rose and 10's relationship. They were best friends and eventually that friendship turned into love. There was virtually no lust involved, which is very rare in today's shows and movies. They clicked so perfectly together and were just happy to be in each other's company, and it was absolutely beautiful. The trust and understanding between them was part of what made their bond so unique. As I said before, there was no lust, just a genuine love and care for each other. That to me is the best kind of love. So please, don't try to bring a ship up by putting another down. 11/River is by no doubt beautiful, but 10 and Rose will always be fantastic.
The way you edited this is perfect. It's almost as though the song was written for them with specific moments in mind. Time stands still... The "One step closer..." refrain made the scene with the two doctors and River, which has always been so poignant, an absolutely heartbreaking moment of realization that their time together is nearly done. Everytime I watch a video with you in it makes me happy even if for the briefest moment it still makes a difference. "Doctor/River is one of the only couples for whom this over-used song can really, truly work." Truest statement EVER. You've taken two things I don't particularly like...this song (both for it's ties to Twilight and the fact that it never FITS for the never-ending parade couples it's inevitably used for) and Doctor/River, and you've squished them together into something I really REALLY like. It shouldn't be possible but here we are. No flashy editing...just simple and beautiful.

It’s insane how much of an impact this video has had on my life. Because of this video this song is my favourite song. Every time I listen to it I think back to this amazing video. It’s weird but it’s helped me through so much. Coming back and remember better times. So thank you for creating this all those years ago.

Quinn Roux I love 11/River but there is no need to degrade Rose and 10's relationship. They were best friends and eventually that friendship turned into love. There was virtually no lust involved, which is very rare in today's shows and movies. They clicked so perfectly together and were just happy to be in each other's company, and it was absolutely beautiful. The trust and understanding between them was part of what made their bond so unique. As I said before, there was no lust, just a genuine love and care for each other. That to me is the best kind of love.
So please, don't try to bring a ship up by putting another down. 11/River is by no doubt beautiful, but 10 and Rose will always be fantastic.

The "One step closer..." refrain made the scene with the two doctors and River, which has always been so poignant, an absolutely heartbreaking moment of realization that their time together is nearly done.
