Dude, I love Reaper so much! To me, it's level of practical customization and lightweight resource footprint makes it difficult to consider going back to other DAWs for me...
Fain vid, thank You 🤘Can You make any vid about how making typical black metal sounds with JST plugins? I have Jason Richardson vst plugin, try make sound like Gorgoroth or Mayhem, but my sound effects is feeble 🤔
Thanks a million for this walk-through! Too bad you didn't show how you can use the lead amp for dialing rhythm guitars. Maybe next time? Where would you recommend setting the dynamic EQ for a D-standard tuned guitar with active pickups for a good starting point? All in all, killer video! Cheers!
Thanks for the love. Maybe next time yes! Ok so start by setting the cross-over near the fundamental. For drop D, that's going to be 73 hz ish. Start with intensity set to 0 and slowly raise it until you start to hear the low end and the mid range balance out. you can adjust for the reduction using the output knob afterwards :D
Hi Joey, i bought it few month ago and started to use it this month. I'm sure it's a very good plug in but I still deal by not having same frequence range with mys system. I have a schecter Damien elite with EMG pickups. I plug it in my instrument input in my M-Audio project mix console and use cubase pro 10. Impossible to obtain same clarity, the sound is very harsshh like a regular old plug in...I tried to understand why, is it my guitare signal quality, the EMG pick-up? ...the sound feel small and filtered. I also feel a difference between the stand alone version and when I uses a daw with mono track. I usually uses 4 hard panned tracks for rythme guitar. By the harsh sound request me to limit the gain at 15 - 30% max..so if you have a advise for me it will save my life. I have an full album to mix and impossible to have good guitar sound result. Please help me to understand what's the problem.
I got the rhythm tone I want just putting it on the mesa rec sim with the gain at 11 o'clock, lows at 9 o'clock, mids at 12 o'clock, and highs at 1 o'clock, blending the bogren 4 with the matched cab. sometimes I will decrease -3db on 700 hz on the post eq and if there is a honk like mud and of course the post dynamic compressor to kill the annoying palm mute rumble, and I use no compressor or od in front and just raise the input gain to 6db for soloing...I don't think I have ever liked anything rec related as much as this
@@instrumentalist28 perfect im looking for a good tone for 7bstring standard and drop A this plug in is killer just doesnt serm to have what my ear is after in the presets. I like amon amarths tone alot
Ya amon amarth type dark tone is probably not possible on this plugin....I mostly play solos and thrash like riffs and rhythms so its tight tones is perfect for me.....good luck tone searching
I think the sound is awesome and i like it, but i test the demo and my sound is far away from this wy and what can i do to get this sound ?. what guitar is used, which pickup setting and tone setting ?. see my video how it sound with ESP eclipse II . I have all values set as in this video. I have also a short scale Jackson minion guitar. this sound also simular to the ESP and sound is much away from sound in video
Sounds like the choice of guitar you have is a big part of the problem unfortunately. The pickups, string gauge, tuning, and playing style are all big factors.
@@joeymusic and which guitar /pickups you use ?. maybe you use a selden used guitar ?. there are so many. on youtube there is JACKSON JS1X MINI GUITAR - WILL IT CHUG?. this is jackson minion on a real amp. on this it have not so much mid. I have in the past also some double track rythms done with VST guitar demos from ample sound Les paul, VSTI from realguitar the strat, les paul and 8 string can all test in time limit demo . they all sound simular to my record i upload on youtube. there is on all much more mids as in your video. maybe you test yourself and do magic switch add that such common guitars sound great too as in the example ?. Please also do offer a demo of misha Mansoor. this have more settings. maybe this can sound with this common guitars great. if so, then i can buy this

@@joeymusic ok cool !
It depends on the pick ups too, right?
