These are the videos. For the tones I know well, I can learn to decipher what I'm hearing and apply it directly. This is dope, thanks so much. This would be a great regular series.
I just found your channel, and it's already immediately one of my favorite production channels on UA-cam. Thanks for making your videos super informative and helpful!
Wait, you AND Chris were both in the words we use??? I'm pumping both EPs' since Entitlement came out. For the first time in a long time and especially Love is war. That one is still one of my top 3 favorite songs of all time. Always wanted to teach me that one on guitar so i could cover it once. My jaw dropped when you dropped that information!
Vader has used Dual Recs and Labogas. A Mesa-style sim should get you there. Equipboard lists his cabs as Marshall 1960Bs, but there's no citation so I'd take that with a grain of salt and try a few different IRs. Suffocation used the Ampeg VH140C back in the day. There's a free amp sim that clones it, but I can't remember the name. You could also use NAM and use a capture for the SNK clones or Crate GX130C (cousin amp to the VH140C). There's also a few "old school death metal" IRs, I think the ones from Ugritone actually have a Suffocation one so that'll take a lot of guess work out.
I'm surprised Joakim uses Rectifier, I really like that 'cause I love rectifiers and I really hate the overuse of 5150s on modern metal in the last 20 years
you mean no neck pick up? lol that's definitely a bridge pickup in that guitar. As in, neck=closest to neck, bridge=closest to the bridge. For those who don't know, 90% of metal rock and punk has traditionally been recorded with the bridge pick up, so "shred only" tend to give up the neck pick up and sometimes the tone knob as well. Personally I'd never limit my guitars capability like that, but hey if you can afford multiple high end guitars I guess it could make sense, or if you're a truly sign faceted guitarist haha (hopefully not)
I'm quite disappointed that there has been no talk about the cab speakers used, like at all. C'mon, at this point it's no secret anymore that they have a crucial impact on guitar tone.
i have to say. i love all the jst products. but hate all these stupid names for things like hunt, kill, devour. what even is that. it's just silly and puts me off buying the product.
Ahh I feel you. They’re all fear factory relate, but I can see how if you didn’t know it would throw you off. We made that plugin with Dino CAZARES and really wanted it to feel special and unique to him -Miami
“As you noticed, there is no bridge pickup in this guy.”
(Stares straight at the bridge pickup 😁)
RIGHT! LOL!
and a "P94" pickup in the other guitar. 🙄
@@MajorGRecording it is a p94, google it 🤣 but bridge mistake was valid lol

I just want to say that I'm glad no one records my face when I'm dialing in anything in a project.
Saw Currents, pressed thumbs up immediately 😝
Thats pretty cool that you got Chris from currents to tell us about his rig
AYO CURRENTS GETTING SOME LOVE?? What i never understood is how they get such a crispy clear mix in Drop E. It's insane.
“Transition game still crazy” facts.
Can you make a video on the different types of vocal effects you can make with effects that are used for different songs?
May I absolutely want the 3rd tone
YOOO I had no idea you were in The Words We Use, the guitar tone was killer on Building Coral Castle!
Can’t take credit for that. Lepou & s pres impulse from make believe studio. Check it out

I love this type of videos
Man I need to try this Disruptor! It sounds really good!
I love Currents! Chris is amazing

I see Miami really utilizes that Odin guitar library
At certain times, it’s quite useful

When the guitars are playing I can hear some sort of clipoing anomoly. Does anyone else hear that? What's causing that?

Vocals dude vocals!
That’s up next

Important thing for Lee Malia: Extremely thick strings!
Love it😍😍😍

Ahh Freudian slip lol my fault

Is this Solemn Tones Odin II in the I Prevail section?
yes
I think it is for all of them. It confused me to lol, you show the guitars and then you're using a guitar Sim plug in
i noticed your tone is going through 2 other tracks. what are those other tracks doing to your tone?
looks like a “sub master” and “master” track and there are no active plugins on either track to change the sound 👍
thanks man. ya i cant see very well due to my small laptop screen.@@maxgilstrap8492
the good old Apnea riff
It’s a classic!

Miami is on a video , I click . Easy as that ! 🖤
Appreciate you always, Tomi!

Definitely want to see a vocal one. I need to know once and for all if I am a dog water ass singer.
How about a Bilmuri guitar tone? Hehee

transition game maybe good but fade game on the DI is weak. Audiofile got so many clicks it should be a mr beast video…
What's up with all the popping on the audio examples? Did someone forget to crossfade their takes or something?
BabyMetal in thumbnail. No BabyMetal in video. :(
I would kill to see vocals
Killswitch Engage 🙏
This guy should just get a left handed guitar instead of re stringing a right handed guitar to play for a left handed
I have a lefty lol. I just record people so it doesn’t make sense to have a lot of lefties
-Miami
i saw that blue hat and thought, nah. Then left.
Colorblind & ignorant

The guitar sounds like the Solemn tones Odin
