Every surgery has a risk, but it’s a common surgery and in most cases goes well. It’s important to make an accurate diagnosis to determine the treatment plan.
Depending on the extension of the surgery the healing process will vary. But in general it’s recommended to eat soft food for the first couple of months. Regarding the age there’s no limit.

Cuando se mueven los dientes con un tratamiento de ortodoncia, y sobre todo si no se usan la fuerzas adecuadas, hay un riesgo de que las raíces se puedan reabsorber.

I might have to do multiple surgeries, I have an underbite and my top jaw is too narrow. :(
i think they do it all in one surgery
I dont think so. I had narrow upper jaw and open bite. I was told i need a surgery to widen my upper jaw first, then i will get another surgery for my open bite. I had TPD. They put this in my mouth for about 6 months. That widen my upper jaw. Now im preparing for double jaw surgery. So ye. But i heard there are some other options to widen a jaw. Everyone is diffrent.

I have an over bite(protruded upper jaw) how much will the surgery cost approximately? How long will the surgery take and how long will it take to heal?
First a craniofacial diagnosis has to be made, in order to see which is the origin of the problem and determine the type of treatment. Regarding costs depends on the type of surgery, on the surgeon and on the country where you will do it.

What is that purple stuff at 2:43 ?
I have done my upper and lower jaw surgery it is recommended from insurance as a Immediately help. I have paid 1200€ for berces and rest operation will paid by insurance like 4600€ .
For surgery I just habe to pay 790€ for some surgery and per day 10 € as a hospital bill. This surgery is really painful surgery 😢 it will take minimum 6 month to recovery.
It's been 6 days of my operation it is so painful 😫
I have this problem 2:27, Are there any consequences for my health if I don't do that? Is this kinda of surgery considered as dangerous ones? I mean, Are they risky? Sorry for my terrible English.... A year ago I was sure that I gonna fix this thing but now I'm in doubt... Because of two things, one I saw a young lady after the surgery went into a coma & second the prices here are too high......
I hope I get the answer.. Thank you for the video which was really helpful....
Every surgery has a risk, but it’s a common surgery and in most cases goes well. It’s important to make an accurate diagnosis to determine the treatment plan.
So after the surgery is done is there are some sorts of food that i cant eat?
and is there is a specific age to do the surgery?
Depending on the extension of the surgery the healing process will vary. But in general it’s recommended to eat soft food for the first couple of months. Regarding the age there’s no limit.
@@Dentalk Thank you so much I hope my parents agree to do me the surgery.

I wish I could have this surgery and nose rhinoplasty too :")

What about a narrow lower jaw with overbite?
I believe once your jaw is surgery fixed to where it needs to be, your jaw muscles would reactive and strengthen as you start chewing on your food

Hello.. What are the ways to treat a gummy smile?
I always watch this just to imagine how'd look. I always called the ugly one. And yes my mouth looks nothing good. My upper jaw then almost all my tooth are out others have rotten. And am barely 33 all of this is cause we did not afford a lot of things when I was young.
is this surgery available in Bangladesh.????... Please help me!!!! I am suffering so much.. For my low jaw☹️☹️☹️
Sure it is. But we are in the north of Spain.
Bhai asen?
I had my double jaw surgery for (what I believe I heard) class 2 overbite and my gummy smile, my jaw was moved forward. On July 8 2021 What fills in the gap from the space they moved forward? Also, my dentist said I was tripoding but it was common for my class, what does that mean? Recovery has been all over the place with pain, sinuses, drool and the places where the top screws are so swollen idk what helps it .
Hope you feeling better!

I am 18 and at what age i need to do surgery for maxillomandibular advancement
Hey. I am an MBBS Student . I had severe TMJ pain 5 years ago .that time Doctor suggested me to undergo orthognathic surgery. But my parents and relatives are worried about the after affects. I also have an impacted premolar tooth. So I would like to know the cost, adverse effect and the time it will take to complete the whole process of the surgery including the dental bracing procedures. I wanna start this soon .
If anyone who already done this surgery, please tell me about your experience 😇
Hey bro, i had my surgery yesterday, super swollen and sore. The braces should take roughly 8 months pre opperation amd then 3-6 months post operation. Ive had my braces 2 years due to covid and medical aid issue but finally got it yesterday. The pain is unbearable at the moment but im a 27 year old hardworking man so i dont understand how women can survive this pain haha. My biggest issue is that my lower lip and entire chin is numb comoletely. They say this can last for up to 6 months and in rare cases permanently. I cant tell you yet that its totally worth it as im in extreme pain and regret it at the moment, but if it fixes my jaw pain and headaches prior to operation it will be worth it. I will give you an update in a week and then in 2 weeks to tell you if its worth it. Just maybe comment to remind me please

Yes, the way of biting can change due to several factors (losing teeth, tooth wear etc)

I have an open bite and cross bite will it be necessary to do both upper and lower jaw? Thank you in advance
It depends on the severity of the case. A craniofacial diagnosis should be made to know the origin of the problem and the serverity. According to that so it will be the treatment. There’s many grades of crossbites and open bites.

my upper jaw is too high like from the front, if i was speaking u can't see my teeth, if i smilled u can see a part of them like not the whole teeth. can it be fixed?? because a saw a lot of videos like this and none of them had my problem, all of them were fixing the upper jaw from the back??
You should do first a Craniofacial diagnosis to see the origin of the problem, if it’s a bone problem, a tooth problem, a mix etc

A 3D craniofacial diagnosis has to be made for knowing which would be the treatment and if requires an orthognatic surgery or an orthodontic treatment without surgery

After a jaw surgery if someone hit to the jaw what happen ?

You should go to an orthodontist to make a new diagnosis to check where the problem comes from. But you will probably need to have another orthodontic treatment.

I have a crossbite and an underbite. Will they be treated together or separately, if done together will the longer side of my lower jaw get a higher length/width of bone removed?? Also, I'm 13, I had an orthodontic face mask pull my upper jaw with an expander till now... But it didn't really work so surgery is the only option... When can I have mine done?? And then I also doubt my lips might turn out to be assymetrical due to the crossbite all these years, but then that can be fixed with facial exercises right? Also can my upper teeth are unfortunately not visible when I smile... How can that be fixed, is there a way to make my gums longer...
Sorry for the long comment
Really hoping ull reply... Thanks!!
You are still on growing age, so until you finish your growing you won’t probably have any surgery done. The treatments you are receiving now are interceptive, to help your bones grow better.
Just had mine 4 weeks ago. Omg
