this is one of the scariest things I've ever seen
I've seen CGI videos of these before, but for some reason the addition of the saw cutting the bone makes it way more intense.
Yikes, I wanted this surgery, but after seeing this...I don’t know!
What about nerves? How can damage be avoided?
does the bone forever stay like that or does it heal
What happens to the shavings or bone fragments from the sawing process? How are they collected
They likely have active suction next to it, but I am not a jaw surgeon.
How far forward are they moved?
Will the screws be in permanently? And is this to fix open bite and receding chin?
yes
What would the name of this surgery be called
surgery from hell
I think it's double jaw surgery
The 2nd is a jaw/mandible surgery, the third one is a genioplasty surgery. Not sure the name of the first one, but if both are getting done, a double jaw surgery.
Le fort 1 on the maxilla, BSSO on the mandible, and genioplasty on the chin.
Great Just move everything downward to lenghten everything
Nope it actually shortens the midface, its just a surgical replication of mewing.
Do the ever remove those things?
The screws stay in permanently unless you request them to be removed and that would be another surgery
What if I want to do the opposite and get a reduction because both are wsy too advanced, like a duck. Is there a name for such a procedure?
it's just a flesh wound
Do you know where such practice would perform this type of surgery?
Maxillo mandibular osteotomy. Performed by a Doctor of Maxillo surgery.
Sweet Jesus 😧
horrific
