Good food, but safety and regulations are very important. This is not Central or South America where they can get people really sick if they don't sanitize...
other than health code which im ok with and not being an annoyance to neighborhoods, the rest of their "regulations" exist for the government to simply make money.
People dont understand that these stands also hurt legal immigrant businesses. I have Mexican friends who opened up a Mexican restaurant, pay their taxes, and give their employees benefits, but then an illegal stand like this will come along, park in the same area, and take away their business. It becomes a system of whoever breaks the most laws wins.
Restaurants are expensive and like serving old food that’s why people don’t want to go in. When you see people cooking in front of you it’s way better. Some street stands Rock and their food has value for your buck. A restaurant is dirty because they know nobody is watching them and their prices are outrageous. There’s a reason why some stands are so popular, homemade food and affordable.
That’s a big lie, these help people who are less fortunate but if you want to go eat at a restaurant it’s your choice. These people all pay taxes because one day they hope to better their status. People just don’t like it when others are more successful. A marine thinks a sports player shouldn’t make more than him? It’s a free world do what makes you happy instead of shutting on others.
@@anthonymartinez4307 well do you have any statistics. Where do you find these people pay taxes? In my area they tend to only take cash. Sorry you were triggered and that your feelings were hurt. Why do you hate Marines?
Me and my son have been contemplating whether or not to try some of their food. But now that I’ve read a few of these comments, I think I’ll just attend a local restaurant and give them my business.
These little stands serve cleaner better fresh food while your restaurants are dirty and serve stale old food. Another reason is they have better prices and it’s homemade. Go ahead and eat where you want, but you will never beat these homemade fresh stands there’s a reason why Mexico has them everywhere for hundreds of years.
Been to those taco stands a couple of times, everyone says it’s better than tacos el gourdo, which is considered best tacos in Vegas. They are really good.
The restaurants need to pay for electricity, water, heaters, and refrigeration. But the street vendors have plastic containers full of food without checking for food temperatures. The dust and bugs are caused by passing cars, and the containers are open. The delicious water is in the open without sanitation or temperature control. The meat is hanging outside, so there are safe regulations in place. How safe is the food? No inspectors, but in restaurants, fines if your food doesn't have the correct temperature. Where do they wash their hands? Gloves that they use all day without changing them. They don't care about serving food if they are sick. It's your health, after all.
I know! NYC and Chicago have looked like third world countries for a century with all their hotdog and knish stands! Too bad street food from developing countries tastes better than 99% of American street food
So when your child or main provider for your home gets sick..... you tell the dr. Oh we went to so and so corner. I remember seeing l think it was a 20/20 episode 30 years ago on street corn, the house that they were working out of was filthy.
Say no! They area pest, give a permit to one, you’ll have them on every corner. There is a long list of health concerns, having food all out in the open, the flies are having a feast, ants crawling on the tables, and so on. Also the food is expensive and they block the sidewalks, they leave grease and oil stains on it too. I could go on and on
When Obama was president, he legalized the use of sick horses to be sold for meat. So even if you go buy your meat from grocery store, you may be getting horse meat.
Supposedly Shawarma which is a middle eastern bbq style , they stole the idea just recently and apparently renamed it " puestOs , and are calling it "classic dishes from their countries"
I knew the news reports were going to ruin things for everybody. The food is awesome and if you don't trust the food then just go to Roberto's or something else but I want to taste authentic food at a great price and stop giving my money to soulless corporations and companies that don't treat their employees well enough
Just had some tacos the other night and I’ll be going back and exploring other stands , haven’t had a great taco in a min amazing food would gone back for more but It was far from my home since I left my hair salon 💇🏻
Is it a consumer that decides whether or not to support these businesses or not. It’s not the governments responsibility to determine where consumers should eat at.
First they discriminated them off the strip, as if people can’t simply go into a restaurant? Then now all of a sudden people are talking about sanitary, as if the thousands of foreigners from different countries don’t bring germs to their conventions and casinos. You are not forced to eat at any place. These are usually the best food you can buy, fresh, homemade, and way cheaper than a restaurant. People can decide for themselves to buy or not. I always buy and the first thing I notice is how much cheaper it is and tastier than most places. Eating at a restaurant doesn’t guarantee fresh nor clean I’ve met plenty of people who got sick from eating at high end strip restaurants. So stop with the bias nobody forces you to eat anywhere….
Okay, Señor Martinez. You're not biased at all 🙄 These sidewalk restaurants hire illegal labor and no labor regulations are followed. So, of course they can afford to charge less than legitimate restaurants. The issue is not choosing to go or not to go to an illegal sidewalk restaurant. The issue is that these are threats to public health and safety. They cause obstructions for pedestrians and do not adhere to basic public health regulations.
Good food, but safety and regulations are very important. This is not Central or South America where they can get people really sick if they don't sanitize...
And Mexico.
other than health code which im ok with and not being an annoyance to neighborhoods, the rest of their "regulations" exist for the government to simply make money.
The government needs money in order to pay for trash collection, street light maintenance, emergency responses
Say no street food and only food trucks they can afford all that commercial kitchen products they can get food trucks and regulate those .

I Say, Trashy people in viva las vegas 😢
These tend to be a draw on the local economy because they pay zero taxes and the immigration status is questionable at best.
shut up white boy

@@anthonymartinez4307they clearly don’t pay taxes, have a business license, follow health codes, etc etc
They should be required to have a license & follow health codes just like everyone else
Ya’ll must do this because I’m CA they’re illegals who demand more rights that actual American Citizens who pay taxes
Most of them are here illegally though.
I havent seen a sink at some of those stands
Simple don't eat from there. No clients no business 😂😂😂
Are they required to have insurance...in case someone dies from eating their food?
How can they have insurance if they don't have an address, and the second someone gets sick you will not see them on that particular corner again.
The city mandates 100 k minimum General liability insurance and your required to register a residential address or commercial

Don’t. They just came from Mexico where the standards for food cleanliness is very low.
Gee, these stands look just like the ones I've seen in other 3rd world countries.
Yea same
It’s dystopian
Exactly
Then don't eat it 😂😂😂
California transplants think this is LA. If it brings the price down of food..Good
They need to pay taxes like we all do cause them tacos ain't cheap
Let's call immigration and see who dosent have their green card so we can send em back
You know they aint paying taxes so they need regulation.

Here is the funniest part , health inspectors never work on week ends and week nights. These vendors can avoid inspections anywhere at night 😂 🤫
