Everyone at the restaurant was so friendly. That chef was so proud of his work (as he should be). That seafood spaghetti and the fried seafood platter looked amazing.😋

About 10 years ago, my wife and I landed in Naples one evening, took the airport bus to Central Station, and walked to our hotel nearby. The receptionist suggested Lombardi for dinner because it was nearby. We didn’t know, and were a little sceptical, because the restaurant appeared aged, but once the food came out, OMG. It was the best. We went back a few years later and for my birthday we went to a pizzeria and each downed a pizza. Mark is right - the city may appear grungy, but it’s full of character, history and one of my favourites, not just in Italy but Europe.

I really like this video. The down-to-earth Italian cuisine, especially the seafood dishes, is fantastic. I hope that such a cultural tradition in Italy continues to thrive for a long time. I would love to visit Naples someday and try the seafood dishes prepared by a local family.
OMGOODNESS!! The way Chef Antonio whipped up the seafood spaghetti was uncut excellence at its best!! Fresh fish is considered a light traditional protein in the states so we often coat it with seasoned flour then deep fried until crispy golden color. Such an amazing episode!! Salud to you Mark & family, friends!! Cheers!!🍷🍝🍕🍇🍆

I loved my trip to Naples earlier this month. The best Italian food I’ve ever had (and cheap). I was also ready for the rough and tough reputation of the city, so I really enjoyed the raw nature of the surrounding.

I've eating many and trust me many many Pizza's. The only one I will never forget is the Naples pizza. Where ever I am in the world I am still looking for the dough, the ingredients, the everything. 🤤🤤🤤
Glad you're having a blast in Italy, Mark! The whole series is incredible, and there are so many more places to visit, from North to South (and islands!)
My last holiday, i was with my girlfriend in naples. After that she wanted to marry me. Red wine and Spaghetti Vongole isnthe receipt for a good marriagge.now
I ate a lot of pasta vongole when I was in Italy. One of my favorite pasta dish ever. And it is so simple to make. Back thing back in Norway we don't have those vongole clams but we can use other mussels. But the vongole just gives that Mediterranean sweet tast that I miss.
What a great video, thanks a lot for it Mark ! I was in Naples in 2022 and really loved it there. The place where you had lunch looks fantastic. I love spagetti al vongole, and all the other dishes also looked so tasty and fresh. The food is amazing, the people are so friendly, and the athmosphere is really great, especially in the spanish quarter, where we stayed. My only problem is that it is so loud and people are partying at night (on every night, not only in the weekends) untill 3am, so that sleep is almost impossible. And after enjoying "real" pizza in Naples, no pizza in Switzerland can come close to that.
This has inspired me to visit Naples , I love the culture and the food looks so good, I live in England so I’m only a 3 hour flight away , my New Year’s resolution is to travel more in 2024 ❤
