So nice upload, beautiful views from above and awesome capturing. I should begin making some new videos with my drone again. You insprired me now :-) , thanks for sharing dear. All the best to you. Take care of you and see you next time again. Happy Sunday to you
thats a great first flight, i'm not big on flips and rolls, but they do offer some skills that help, when the image gets messy its a real skill to hang in there and grab control back, emergency stops are great practise for that cause the get messy and you recover. i had a lot of trouble learning to zero the throttle, effectively throwing the quad and using just attitude control. little blip of throttle then zero it for the roll and catch it with the throttle, and roll if needed. for the big dives, get some height, enough so that you still have ground references like horizons or distant trees whatever, then zero throttle roll inverted and slowly pull up the nose till your vertical, then begin pulling out and very slowly add throttle, it will feel like a wing, it will carve out without full power. it won't be long before your just going where you want to go without even thinking about the sticks, .... a lot of the flying is knowing you can handle anything that happens, oh, also, the cam angle you choose has implications, anything above 20deg will be forcing you to fly fast, but at 10 12 deg you can still fly just as fast by conserving speed from dives and turns etc, but with the added benefit of being able to go dead slow. pps. take off in acro mode, when you learn acro its super easy to go back to other modes, but if you mix your flying your messing up your acro muscle memory.
Cheers .yeah I kept my camera on zero deg to limit the speed I was hitting 40mph so fast enough for learning. I took off and landed in sport mode will attempt the take offs and landings once I'm more competent. Was just hopeing to not destroy my drone haha. I got fairly comfortable quickly but when I came home I went on a game I play often battlefield 4 where I fly helis and jets and bomb people I was all over the place cos I had concentration so hard on the drone lol. My memory muscle was well out of sink for 5 minutes. Not going to get into the acro in a big way not really my thing but love the dives and the height the drone can achieve quickly. Absolutely loving it bud
Thank you. Yeah I waited over 2 months for the controller seems to be the case with everything these days always on back order but going on the simulator definitely helped big time.
That is a great first flight in manual, Jim. Impressed. Better than mine! And I still haven't tried any flips or rolls yet. It's a completely different beast in manual. Well done mate 👏
@rickpurcell635 avata is more friendly and can take a crash or 2, but if you crash the fpv, it's in pieces. Either way, you will love it best, drone flying experience . Good luck 👍
cheers buddy I felt pretty chuffed after that flight if I am honest just need good weather now to go practice or the classic will be here and i will be dying to go play with that lol
Thank you it's pretty difficult at first but you soon get the hang of it just remember that if you feel you're losing it, hit the pause button or flick it into normal or sports mode and it will recover, Good luck it's definitely the best way to fly the avata 👍
you doing better than me my first time was yesterday yup just to get it on manual mode was a challenge for me. lasted 1 minute, as soon as I touch the speed control it took off like a jack rabbit into the woods, im not ready at all for manual, but its a durable drone, lol
Oh don't give up did you try a fpv simulator on your pc I used a free one it helped give me have a idea what to expect and make sure your camera is at zero degrees if you pitch it up it makes the drone go much faster keep at it it's fun when you get the hang of it 👍
Fantastic video! The shots are stunning and really fun to watch! Thank you for sharing, my dear friend! Many greetings from Germany! 🌍💜💜💜👍

BE CAREFULL, SAFE FLIGHT, @DAP DRONE
