I love all the crashes and how well the drone recovered, often like it was nothing. Last time I grazed a tree with my 5" DIY quad it immediately got stuck. I'm really looking forward to getting my own FPV Controller soon so I can test the limits of the Avata.

i just had my first crash just in sport mode with mc.. i was like noooo but my baby was weed eater on this pine tree for like 10 secomds then hit asphalt.. i picked it up and ya inside of shroud it was like a weed eater i rubbed it out and was flying in one minute.. this thing is a tank!! but ya don't drink and drone =O after watching you obv hav rc2 controller on manual and i dunno if i will ever be that brave even with seat time lol but epic flying bro ♥
i'll reply to my reply but this just proves how much of a mini tank this thing is it's a toy but a serious one at that.. best money ever spent on a hobby i hope toi capture or put my noob to ok flights to yt.
Looks good How would you compare it to a 5" traditional FPV in terms of maneuverability through Split S, Dive, inverted yaw spin, etc...? Does it have the power to provide the momentum? To me, it looks a little underpowered, and I don't know if that's because it's a 4s battery, or the nature of the drone design being a cinnewhoop. Did the high pitch or sound volume bother you?

It has 2 safety's you have to disengage in the goggles, under control (where you enable full manual mode) there is also a safety that keeps your from rolling all the way over and diving at steep angles, you have to disable that safety as well. Guess DJI was trying to help people get into freestyle w/o crashing the drone as much.
Yes, throttleway gets longer after about 40 Percent, but until that you can fly easy 6-7 minutes and than it is compensable with your thumb. I am charmed of the crash durability, crash compilation coming soon...
My dumbass bought the DJI FPV instead of waiting for the Avata. jk I love my FPV but the more videos I watch on avata I might make the purchase having those prop guards helps the nerves.
The nerves it helps a lot. After some experience you dont even think about crashing. Much less than with an unpropguarded quad. Turtle Mode is also great.

Check out Mr.Steele who is a pro. When I saw him flying Avata in this manner I took my decision to buy it.

I like have both, frestyle and mid range, dont have this type, Just one or freestyle or long range, fpv freestyle vs dji/avata
