- The late Jean Shepard singing that wonderful Jerry Chestnut song 'The Wonders You Perform' too many of these great country singers and legends are going home now sad thing is like George Jones said in his classic song 'Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes?
The talent in that room is amazing! RIP Jean!

Brings me to tears. What an awesome woman she was. She is missed, that's for sure!

It amazes me how some age BUT their voice sounds wonderful still. What a beautiful song from Jean Shepard...may she rest in peace🙏♥️
Beautiful 💕💕💕🙏 God blessed us with many beautiful angels rip Jean and Rory and anyone who I may have not known has gone home to the Lord 🙏
Jean Shepherd always performed so professionally.
I think She is the Best Female Singer. Of all Others.. She is Just Great..
Jean Shepard... great lady
Beautiful song , sung by a beautiful Lady . Sad , but with a beautiful message.
So very beautiful. Jean shepherd is best female singer ever
OUTSTANDING performance BY Jean Sheppard.
Jean you are most delightful. The strongest song of FAITH that I have ever heard!!
Rest in peace Jean,a great singer .
Jean had a tough life but now it is all worth it. Jesus heals all pain!
In my opinion the lady is just as beautiful as she ever was and her voice is just as amazing as ever . I definitely love to hear her sing . Thank you so much for sharing this.
Husband killed while pregnant...1 little one wow
Her voice held up over the years far better than most singers. She, as well as her husband, Hawkshaw, will be missed.
This beautiful lady is amazing to be able to sing this strongly in her old age. Now in Jesus arms
By far Jean Sheppard mastered this song over all others, including Tammy Wynette.
How could anybody 'Thumbs Down' this. I always love to hear Jean sing and she did a beautiful job on this song. Her voice was still strong. Rest in Peace, Jean.
Because they DON'T use their GOD given...COMMON SENSE, that is NOT so common today....
a good question why would they,.
Don't worry about useless internet comments. I really couldn't care less what people click and clack on basically useless devices. Personally? The comment, and like and dislike stuff should be turned off. i'd just watch the video.
@@styldsteel1 I personally would like to know why someone doesn't like a particular song. It is their opinion, just would like to know why.
@@TheFishdoctor1952 ok. To be inquisitive is harmless. My own personal outlook is music is very subjective and people get real emotional over it. If I hear a song over the radio, I'm not really interested personally what the next person thinks. That song just relaxes me.
Beautiful
Love miss you!!!!!!!
Jean Shepherd RIP. A beautiful gospel song, with so much meaning.
what a voice at her age, proof she was one of the best,,,,
Some songs just fit some people,. About every song Ms Jean sang fit perfectly.
amazingly clear pronunciation, every word. she was one of the great ones.
Awsome Woman Rip
Rest in peace in the arms of Jesus
Miss Jean l sure miss you l keep listening to this tapes your voice is so strong. l can't get enough of your music. Miss Jean you and Miss Kitty did such a wonderful thing for country music you two opened the doors for women. l know that there is other women that helped to open the doors but the others had easier because of you and Miss Kitty had already had did the hard work for the women singers. thank you and God bless you two women.
This lady was a treasure. Also so sweet to see Joey and Rory Feek in the back there....knowing what Joey herself would have to go through ....bittersweet.
RIP Jean, you will be missed
Just as we lost great artist in 2016 Jean Sheppard as well.
She sings better now then she was younger
Wow that's an amazing song. And Jean is an amazing Singer. I always loved to hear her sang. She truly is good at what she does.
What an amazing voice even at that age! Spot on.
Probably the best version. Her mature voice, her rasp, makes it so much more touching than her original recording. What an amazing performer and storyteller she was. RIP
love this song
What a beautiful Lady.
Rest In Peace Jean! We will miss seeing you on CFR and on the Diner, you did a beautiful job on this song.
So beautiful! Awesome song. Praise God!
Loving it! xx
Great song by jean very classy lady
That was a very meaningful standing ovation.
I am not a religious person... BUT... This song makes me think, makes me question, makes me hope that there is something more after this life.. Jean could tell me now if she is in the arms of her god.... I admire her faith that she held so close.
Love all the song nothing like country

Que voz forte e bela. Incrivelmente emocionante. Muito bom 👍
THIS SONG IS WONDERFUL JEAN SINGS IT WITH FEELING. I NEVER CAN LISTEN TO THIS JUST ONCE.
Luell
BEAUTIFUL!
Jean, you choked me up there, big style xx
Wonderful
What a voice love to hear her singing
She was so much fun to listen to in person !
Beautiful song . I've never heard it before. That's the best!
As much as I love Jean Shepards voice, I still think Virginia Wynette Pugh aka Tammy Wynette.... had the most rich earthy voice in country music!!!
The song The Wonders You Perform was written by Jerry Chesnut and was first released by Tammy Wynette in 1970 so everybody associated this song with Tammy before Jean or Connie Smith, Jean even admits Tammy had the best version out of everybody it's still a very powerful song whoever sings it!
Amen!
Jean: "Alright everybody, attention."
Me: "Yes Ma'am!"
Great lady Jean Sheaperd . She was a very popular artist . Back in the Country music . Traditional country Grand Ol Oprey . My wife's car mom also performed with her . And
Skeeter Davis's . Jeanie Ceily . And Wanda Jackson who be was Elvis's first serious girl friend They all Started out Together Elvis and Wanda were Very mutch in love. They
Planned to married But her Dad asked them to wait Five
Years they were both trying to be get their be careers on by track . They were very very willing to wait. Parcker discovered Elvis Vernon Made the deal but with be Parcker . Not Elvis He wanted to. Stay on the tour. With Wanda Jackson and her Dad . Her Dad. Realy loved Elvis like a
Son . Thought he. Would make. The Perfect son in-law.
Parcker Got Vern to sign a life be time contract . Stoping all be Elvis's be life be plans . That away Vernon would be
Took care care be of the rest
Of his be life. Both hearts be were destroyed for Vernon's
Greed. 💞🙏🐦
Lmbo she and I have the same since of humor.
If the world only had Jesus problems over!.
It's true Tammy Wynette did the by far the best version---Jean & Connie Smithe both did a good job as well!
I COULD HAVE HELPED HIM !!!!!!!
Who IS gonna fill thier shoes???????
No One!!!! Might be few with the country sound, but not the "country" personality, which was not Miss Shepard's on stage act. What you saw & heard was her.
3:35 very sad.
When was this recorded? Is it a session of CFR? RIP Jen you're up there with so many others gone before you.
It was recorded during CFR 'God Bless America Again' series that was taped I believe in 2014!
Thanks
What show is this on?
I got the video of this series of DVDs www.cfrvideos.com/productdetails.aspx?p=762

Jean had that great distinctive voice. I remember it from my childhood & I'm not a spring chicken now. She was one of the greatest & helped get women singers on the radio. Rest in Peace sweet Jea.
Who’s the young blonde, she looks out of place?
Her name is Teea Goans and thank God we have people like Teea to keep traditional country music alive watch these 2 videos of Teea singing traditional country! 'Teea Goans - Country's Family Reunion: Tribute to Ray Price ' ua-cam.com/video/nvPjVYu1oGs/v-deo.html and 'Teea Goans Performs on "Bill Anderson's 50th Anniversary Celebration" ua-cam.com/video/HtFywTyEEKc/v-deo.html
