Daaaang, BOSS be Kicking Butt out here. I would think that they would be covered up with orders from cities all over wanting these to keep sidewalks clear. This looks like a fantastic machineThanks Stanley, you always bring us the best gear.
This is so cool to see Eldon on the channel, in this capacity! I have seen him zipping around on his 4 wheeler for years behind Stan and his team, and even on camera a few times. Stan this is cool to get Eldon on this machine and get his feedback on this machine!
I remember your video last year covering the SR Mag, and it was fun to see you ripping it around then. It's always fun to see you look at things that I've helped work on. I work at Toro and I helped do some of the drafting for this machine, but now I am helping BOSS out again with the VSI acquisition that you toured a little while ago. Keep up the great content!
Cool machine. Definitely saves time and workers back. I remembered seeing my coworkers shelving snow off the sidewalk while I used the plow truck and salting the parking lot . They were tired after 4 hrs of shelving snow. I was the youngest person there but I was the only one that had a commercial driver license and sometimes I was the only one to have a license.
Hey Stan we pick up our new SR Mag Snowrator a fews ago so fare a great improvement over our other 3 snow rator units. Boss killed it this is night Day differnce we love the SR Mag.
Definitely a good machine in tight side walks. Company just picked up two ventrac 3400y's with heated cabs, both have blowers and brooms. Definitely will be cadillac's out in our area. Hard to believe some companies still shovel everything by hand. This will help us keep working even in the coldest temperatures.
I used the previous iteration of this model last year for Greenscape in Massachusetts. I was a PM but had to step in at times when employees would call out and would have to run this machine. The heat is a nice touch to see in the new model but I remember my hands freezing even with good gloves. My recommendation, treat it like a snowmobile and use a electric handle bar warmer under the grips of the controls for some low cost creature comfort. Some sort of a quick float button would be nice too! Other than that the machine was great to run, lots of power, easy to work on/troubleshoot. The shovel holder and rear broadcast spreader is a nice touch instead of the salt bag carrier.
I run a bobcat s70 all day and nite in storms. Comfort is a seat and heat and radio 😂 not freezing ur a.s off. Talk to me during those freezing rain and windy days. Besides that for same price bobcat is used year round.
Stan, thanks for all the snow removal videos. Living in East Tennessee we don't get a lot of snow, and when we get a inch or two, everyone goes batcrap crazy. I would live to come up and see some real snow in your area.
@@Dirtmonkey When I was stationed at Ft Bragg, we got like an inch of snow one time, and it shut down the base for day because they lacked snow removal equipment.
Don't know if your talking about buffalo by but plenty of guys use them in the city. Pretty rare to find super even sidewalks anywhere unless it's newer areas
Love ours so fare. Broom is great. Need some deeper snow to try out the blower. That said, the original model does really well for a plow only option. If you don’t need the broom or blower, I think it’s a smaller, simpler and more cost effective machine.
What a stocky nimble machine…ain’t always about moving bulk snow. Business need spotless sidewalks, where most slips happen. This unit will pay for itself in a hurry. Watch out for man hole covers they stop you in a hurry.
This machine is great. And only for sidewalks. But, in case that plow folds down with great ease if you hit a man hole. No impact felt like in a truck.
I would love to give one of these a try! Been trying to determine the correct machine for an area that is difficult to clear. Issue, no place to put the snow. With a blower, we have to throw it and re throw it at least 3 times, to clear area. Really sucks.
Stanley I have a question on home demolition. I am ready for my first home demolition. I have done all the homework, all the study, I have all the vendors and etc lined up and ready to go with a spread sheet with all my calculations for prices. But I have no idea how to find the jobs. Do I got to a GC or do I go to the home builders and developers directly. How do I get in contact and what information is best to provide for them? What would be your best recommendation for finding jobs
I think the only disadvandage to this rig is that it doesn't have a seat.. you're still standing. also less so of an issue.. is that its not able to be used recreationally outside work. Also think it needs an amber waring light some where on it.. either single pole mounted beacon or a couple of amber LEDs on the sides.
💥 Aren’t those like $18,000 plus attachments! A sub compact tractor with a snowblower is a better option. I just don’t see the value here. *Keep on tractoring!*
nice compact machine would like to see it go up the slope as well and to offer heat deflection for warmer weather. been looking into these types of machines. would use the plow for grading as well, one of these i believe has a bucket may lift a couple feet but enough to move things around. also like that i don't need a big shed garage open space to store it like a skid steer or tractor nor trailer heavy duty enough to transport. not that i don't have one but not everybody does.
Our older model does well on slopes. The blade tilt angle is not designed for grading and the wheels dig holes on dirt. It would fit in a shed as well.
My biggest problem that's reared it's head on a couple different machines is engine performance during sub zero temps and accessory hydraulics being too cold between customer stops...slow plow angles/chute controls and hard starts on broom/snowblower blowing seals on hi flow pumps. They should take note of their toro connection and the 3 piece chute for better locating. Wondering if their enclosed engine performs better than the toro and ariens options.
Nice set up, they definitely did well with engineering. Now, I think that's the slowest we've ever seen Eldon move, lol! Always seemed he was off at 20-25 mph... Wonder how this will compare, hrs wise, to the ATV & UTV? Tho walking thru those frozen slush piles seemed effortless. Thanx !
That snowblower seems to get bogged down pretty quick. How much does this weigh? It looks like it has great traction. I was surprised at how well the plow did
Stan very nice machine no a guy has 4 of them because of manpower shortage can do work of many shovelers is it pricey? It all depends on how much it snow in your area and how many contracts you have it a no brained where you live. Think they should have a brush mower attachment and seeder fert. spreader even a dump attachment that mounts to the front would make it worth while in area where not as many snow events per season
Very cool, compact, nice lil machine my only issue is the cost 18k for the machine and 2000 to 4500 for attachments. If my math is right to buy one with the plow, blower and sweeper I’m looking at 28k plus tax. Not saying it’s not worth it.also would like to see it go up against a normal snow blower and see how much faster it would be. Since we are trying to make money faster how much faster is it. Just for example say it takes me 15 minutes to clear a 20x50 drive way with a single stage 21 inch blower. If it got it done in five minutes I could do 3 drives to every one drive with the single stage. Dirt monkey can you have them do a side by side Comparison between the boss snow plow snow blower to a single stage 21 inch blower
@@mct8888hello if I’m buying one I want to know how fast it is, let’s face it the way most company’s are ran it’s about profit. Now will this out preform a single single stage I’m sure it will but at what time 10-20 minutes a drive. At 28 k I can get a lot of single stage blowers and people to run them. Also that unit is for sidewalks and drives not parking lots so yea it does need to be compared to a 21 inch.
@@mct8888 you never know about people I may already have a few in the shop waiting for the snow to get here. I may have asked that question because they have snow in their area and I don’t at the moment. So yeah I’m relaxing collecting that contract cash. Stay safe out there
Hey Mike, speed is one thing, safety is another. Your using a 21” single stage. No power, but what’s in the tank to throw snow. The mag I believ is capable of 8 mph. Pare that with a 5ft blade and wing extensions, you’re moving snow lickity split. Time and experience will bring you efficiency. Plus the machine is moving snow and the machine. Not just you. Loading and unloading is a sinch
How comfortable was it to operate on a grade. I know it looked to have decent traction, but did Eldon feel like it was top heavy or otherwise unstable?
I’ve taken a test drive, very stabil. Much more comfortable with the dampened controls. Old raider bounced you around, took a bit to get used to it. The MAG is much improved. specially on the hills
Air intake into the engine with salt dust would be a concern, Also lo grade stainless is magnetic. Corrosion of the aluminum hydro components , pumps coolers would be a concern.
You're such a tease! Start with a big pile of slop then...sixteen minutes later. Hahaha Looks like it scrapes pretty good. Was the surface wet underneath?
The new version is supposed to be faster than the old one. Better motor, more fuel longer runtime, more hydraulic attachment options. Same front spreader and controls.
It's a job specific machine that does better than a tractor. Don't get me wrong, a tractor is a great all around machine and it may do ok with snow plowing but you won't be able to do it as well. Kinda like the difference between using a $300 pressure washer vs. a $3000 one. They both can do the job but one does it better and easier.
Primer and paint is not a two-stage paint paint in clear coat is a two-stage paint all paints have a primer applied prior. $18,000 and you can't even use the machine unless you buy an attachment for two to four grand after the fact. So 20K like I was thinking. I'd rather had just have a small used skid loader with a v plow like victory outdoor services has. It's perfect for sidewalks but it does much more than sidewalks. And if you find the right auction it's the same price. The machine is cool don't get me wrong but I don't think it's worth $20,000 with probably a Kohler lawn mower engine. I kind of feel the same way about the v-track the ventrac it has a small diesel engine but the rest of it looks like a riding lawn mower it's just stamp sheet metal super cheaply built and pretty damn expensive. Due to having two wheels on each corner it's very stable but it's not a Toro diesel tractor or a yanmar or anything like that.
Nice machine but I’ll stick with using my Kubota Diesel BX tractor that can do anything that can & can be used in the Spring/Summer/& Fall also! No thanks 😊 For it’s specific purpose it’s a good machine but for that kind of money it can be spent more wisely on a way more versatile machine that will make you cash all year round .

They've thought of everything. Even where to direct the excess heat!! It's definitely worth the money!
They chose not to fix the salter controls so that you can feel them better through your gloves…
Great video, now wondering if the BOSS Snowrator or the Ariens Mammoth is the better ride-on snow option...
Love to see it work a storm below 10 degrees
It definitely gets that cold up here sometimes so we’ll see 😈
Bundle up brother!
Absolutely, the toro and ariens have issues running in those temps.
I think I would put studs in those tires. I put studded tires on my plow truck, and it was a game changer for me.
That V-blade was a joke! Thanks for the laughs
😂 you should see the arens

I wouldn’t trade my bobcat L28 for anything. Nothing like cleaning sidewalks in a T-shirt
Very nice. SO glad I do NOT need it!!!! Enjoy🥶
Soak up that sun for me!!
I will be looking at this next week at are landscape ontario show
How does it compare to the Grandstand Multiforce?
How does this compare to the ariens mammoth 850?
Does it have blade extensions
Give it full rabbit!
If I buy one of these and it breaks, am I allowed to buy parts from the manufacturer and repair it myself? Or are they going to John Deere us?
Nice machine. I don't see how make enough money in winter on snow. Thought about adding it as another business
Love the videos
Appreciate ya 👊
Wonder hoe the tires will look after 1 winter and 1 summer 🤔
Does this machine with snow thrower perform on gravel without jamming up or shearing bolts ?
That snowblower seems to get bogged down pretty quick. How much does this weigh? It looks like it has great traction. I was surprised at how well the plow did
That’s because it’s a gas engine & don’t have torque like a diesel. My diesel Kubota BX is a monster with the snowblower!
And it rides up over the pack rather than truly scraping.
Hopefully your plowing snow right now. 12 inches of snow hitting you guys down south, we have had enough Colorado lows this winter.
great video
Glad you liked it!
