Toro snow blowers have just passed one of their most difficult tests! I owned one years ago, when I was a selling dealer, and I'm here to tell you, it's one tough Snow Blower.
The two stage Toro snow thrower you used second is a very nice machine. Loved the way it cleaned down to the bottom, and the distance it threw the snow. Also it got great traction, and because of that you spent your time walking instead of pushing. People don’t realize how easy these are to handle & steer now that they have a differential. If they gave them a try, instead of looking at them & saying “this is too big a blower for me to handle” and never trying them even on the showroom floor, they’d spend alot less time sweating and pushing, and more time walking and blowing snow. The first blower you used, “the personal pace snow blower” was woefully inadequate even in the 6” of snow you used it in. You could hear the engine struggling and bogging down in the moderate snow you were using it in. The wheels were constantly spinning, and it was loosing traction in snow that wasn’t even 1/2 way up the bucket. For a residential owner that personal pace blower would be a waste of money (IMO). You’d be much better off with a smaller two stage machine like the 8hp Toro you used, or an Ariens 24” deluxe. I don’t think Toro uses shear pins in their design anymore in any of their blowers. Thanks for the video… I enjoyed watching you throw a little of the white stuff!
The rip-off is that many times you end up paying a lift gate fee because you don’t have a dock. Trucking companies will charge for a lift gate to deliver to farms even though they never get used.

There is the 518 ZE which is a little smaller than the 721 QZE hes got here. Not quite as small as the old 2 stroke but close for a 4 stroke. I've had one for a couple years in north NJ and it has been a beast. Powers through any type of snow/ice/slush and is super easy to handle. Definitely the brand to get.
Another outstanding and oddly fascinating video. So nice to hear you're getting product to review. I was relieved to hear it not only because you richly deserve it and do completely unbiased reviews, but mostly because I couldn't imagine someone setting out to age their blower 5 years in 10 minutes trying to grind through that pile of ice chunks and gravel. A great stress test though, and it passed. I swear that Cody will be an expert in so much the way he intently pays attention to everything you do. ;-)
Always a good idea to check and set the RPMs on new machines. Manufacturers tend to set it on a higher rpm than needed. Just something to look into. Love your videos. Appreciate your videos and your content!
They still have a smaller option for snow blowing. Its called the 518ZE I have a snow removal company in north jersey , we only do commercial properties so there is a good amount of sidewalk to be done but some properties only have the store fronts to do. I have a vbox salter in my bed so I just throw the little blower in my back seat. It works great and is 10x better then shoveling. You should look into it
I Love the toro singlestages! My 622 was a dump find..runs great ,trouble free over 10 years..just pads. Fast ,menuverable, don't slush clog.Need a flat paved surface. Keep Making them bigger toro! Love your Videos Andrew!
Andrew too. Cody has many times bulldozered his way into his way and he just waited for him to move along or turned it into a playful thing like when he is sweeping.
I dread the day when we all have to watch the "in memoriam" video for Levi. It's so hard to watch him slow down like this but it's clear that he had a really good life with Andrew.
Absolutely. I know there'll be a river of tears among Andrew's followers when he announces Levi has passed away. I dearly hope it's Levi died in his sleep and didn't have to be out down. Cody will cry to. Dogs are like that. When there's two dogs and one grew up under the other they morn just like us when the older one dies.
Yeah, I know. My family's (parents, sisters and my) dog thor (ironically called after thor, god of thunder, due to his breed being a golden retriever) passed away in September of 2014 after being with us since June or so of 2008.
I've got the Toro PowerMax 826 (without heated handles) and love it. The one thing I changed is the skids. The metal skids just kept digging into my driveway and it was so annoying. I saw where several times this happened to you. I replaced them with the poly skids and they are so much better. That snowblower moves some series snow. I also like how you can let go of the drive control and as long as you are holding the auger lever it keeps going, leaving your other hand free to adjust the chute. Great video as always.
I have a large snowblower wheel type. As my Age progresses I find it more difficult to use as I once did. I’m considered going to a track machine for I’ve found them a little easier to manage.

Can't go wrong with any snowblower made by TORO. I do miss the 2 stroke machines for sure.
Sounding like bees in a jam jar 🤣
And yet the Toro 37802 Power Max in the video has been recalled by Toro because of “dangerous design”.
A Toro 514 with the 9 cubic yard bucket would eat that pile in 2 bites, made by Sandvik mining equipment, but still a TORO by model.
So glad the old man Levi is doing well. 🙏
Everyone buying expensive equipment: I'm going to baby it, it last a lifetime.
Andrew: Let's try and break it in a day.
Love the videos that start with the delivery truck rolling up, we all know it’s going to be a cool tool or attachment!!
You should look into it
Socks don't go missing in the dryer, they go missing when the doggo secretly brings one out into a snow pile! 😂
I'm surprised he didn't get one that he can attach to his tractor or a skidsteer
That's next.
Well you never know
He makes a lot of small entries and ways their is no need for this big machine.
He’s definitely got one of those coming soon😂
I have a plow on the pick up truck for that, the snowblower’s are nice for walking paths
I love how in-depth a review can be without all the bs chat in front of the camera for 40min
1:21 - The look on Cody’s face is classic, “Dad, this smells brand new. That’s so unlike you!”
Toro is really pushing the UA-camr angle this year....and I’m really enjoying it.
Cody is having the time of his life in the snow. He's so happy.
Levi really seemed to like the fact that Andrew plowed home some trails in the snow. Cody - who needs trails?
I Love the toro singlestages! My 622 was a dump find..runs great ,trouble free over 10 years..just pads. Fast ,menuverable, don't slush clog.Need a flat paved surface. Keep Making them bigger toro! Love your Videos Andrew!
Best idea Toro ever had letting Andrew test their equipment. Great demonstration and recommendation.
I like how Levi is so tolerant of Cody pestering him, and Cody has learned when Levi has had enough..
😓
I had 2 dogs they both made it to 14 both were a little over weight not good
I’m gonna be extremely sad for a dog I will never meet. Such a sweet soul that Levi is
No shear pins were harmed during this video...
Snow blowing out the bed of the truck had me laughing 😂
was half expecting a hammer or something to get sucked through and shot out the spout at a million miles an hour!
Yeah a bolt or something would turn into a bullet lmao
Cody is so fun to watch. Sure beats a shovel. Had a Toro lawnmower for years, good machines.
We appreciate seeing Levi out and about. Keep at it!
It's always nice to see Levi in a video.
how old is he?
@@bds0036 14 i think
Good to see Levi still kick in around, I remember when acted a little like Cody does.
I found the self drives work best with chains and wheel weights, IMHO Andrew I like the Half-Track...great video!
Love watching your video's. You're so talent. You can just about to fix everything. Take care and stay warm. Love your castle.
I have a large snowblower wheel type. As my Age progresses I find it more difficult to use as I once did. I’m considered going to a track machine for I’ve found them a little easier to manage.
Yes, I noticed the issue with these is that the wheels just spin
@@____________________________.x Chains will fix that, or atleast help alot.
Ariens Model: 920028. Not too bulky, 24" and priced reasonably around $1,500.
Andrew with snow blower on roof reminds me of Bill Murray cleaning his living room with leaf blower in the movie Caddie Shack.
Andrew: "I hate when my snow blowers catch fire for no reason!"
Probably Andrew was a previous owner reason why it catches fire
Levi wants Pizza, Cake, and long winter naps snuggling with his master.
Always love the videos with your ole boy Levi!!!!! Makes my day to see him!
Of course your videos are always great and informative!!
I think I remember seeing a recall on those big Power Max models. Something about amputation hazard.
Don't stick your hands in the spinny blade part! ;-)
Am surprised he didn’t do his roof. Lol 😂
oh no...in Australia it's summer most of the year...can't imagine having to mow the snow.
Im sitting at a mine site ready for work, its forcast to be 40 plus today ( c) and im watching snow blowin videos
Cause andrew and why not!
I'm slowly working my way up to be where your at. You've been a huge inspiration! I cant thank you enough for your videos. You definitely should make some merch so we can help support you even more!
Andrew you sir win the internet! Of every channel there is on UA-cam yours is by far the best.. I love the opening word “Alright”, you just know it’s going to be great 👍
Andrew: Buys 3 new Toro snow blowers to test.
Toro: Starts sweating profusely
@Matt Reid at the end of the video. Thanks
Toro "when we asked you to test these blowers we didn't mean this sort of testing" the drift and gravel😕😂
I'm sure Andrew bought all 3 Toro snowblowers. About $1700-$2000 for all 3. They are making 2-strokes much any more. You can thank the EPA and the government.
@@mikespain8655 He says in the video that he was sent the snow blowers so he could do a review on them...
@@mikespain8655 Yeah, TORO sent them to Andrew at NC.
I feel so bad for Levi, you can just tell that he hurts.
If he was in too much pain, he’d be laying down inside. Andrew > Pain. That hasn’t become false yet, so I like to smile and know that if he is in pain, he is choosing to spend the energy with Andrew.
@@KeithDiSarno heis likely just stiff in the joints. He is still wagging his tail, still excited, still wanting tp smacj that young punk cody around lol.....
So glad you are acknowledging Levi and making sure he is well taken care of!
Andrew, thanks for another one. I live in Charleston, SC and have no need for a snowblower but you make every video interesting. Plus it is always great to see Levi.
